No, my then fiancé arrived two weeks prior to the expiration of the K1 Visa and she had no issues.

    Good Luck!

Huh?    .. you're slipping off the trolly tracks.     As mentioned earlier and never mentioned by the OP .. the passport isn't what he was asking about.   Topic is VISA

It can be done.  I would never consider walking around another country without a passport myself, though.  Or advise anyone else to when they had plenty of time to take care of it before.  Things can go wrong at the worst times.

Passport can be renewed at the consulate in the USA ... still a non-issue

I stand corrected.  I was thinking in terms of visiting for some reason as some couples visit during the visa process.  I didn’t think in terms of the immigration process.

I would still renew before coming so she’s not in the position of not having valid ID. Until AOS is complete, she won’t be eligible to get local ID, so her passport will be it, and the pre-AOS period is kind of a limbo anyway.

This is incorrect. They said it expires December 16th. So long as they enter on or before December 16th they are fine.

I think you posted on the wrong thread. We aren't talking about passport validity. They will be entering on a K1 visa that expires December 16th. The OP was asking is it okay if she enters a month before it expires.

Visa expires in December .. no mention of the passport expiring.   No reason to be renewing her passport.

No reason to enter the USA before Nov 16th .. the expiration date of the visa is December 16th  .. needs to be in the USA by 15 December at the latest.

As long as your fiancee clears POE before the expiration date noted in the visa there are no issues.

Does not, and in addition there are 130 nations exempt from this rule (more are exempt than it applies to).  For the 130 nations, the length of passport validity must only cover the period of intended stay not intended stay plus 6 months

Visitors traveling to the U.S. are required to be in possession of passports that are valid for six months beyond the period of their intended stay in the U.S.

She should be renewing it now.

Visa expiration and passport expiration are two very different things

As long as she enters the US before Nov 16th, there will be no problem. I would book it so that the entry date is 2-3 days before the expiration, in case flights get delayed or something

The visa expiration is the Visa expiration,  meaning you have to present yourself at the border before that exact day.

Got my approval guys! NOA1 Date was October 30th 2018. Manila Philippines, California Service Center (I129F). Took 141 days and the email notification came to me at 4am this Saturday morning. However the approval did not appear on the case status app nor the online case status tracker. I had to create an account with USCIS website to view the approval

The evidentiary requirement that Manila will ask for will be quite different than what will be provided to the USCIS for AOS
