    Has Sydney received your case?

Once they receive it they contact you by email to say it's been received and they request information from you - MRV receipt, DS160 confirmation etc..

Once you respond to that they then respond with your interview date and time :)

Thank you for letting me know that. :)

    Hey!

From my understanding Sydney generally only holds K1 interviews the last tuesday of each month.

Mine is scheduled for Oct 30, and K1 filers I've connected with on VJ before me had theirs September 25..

Again this is purely my observation, I have seen a couple mention they got offered an interview date mid Oct but I was given my interview date early Oct and it was for the 30th :)

    Hope this helps!

    Good luck with your medical!

Did you schedule your interview yourself, I am up to the stage and can't seem to see how to schedule the interview, I started assuming the interview date would be selected for us.

Also- are there any aussies out there who stuffed up and put melbounre as their consulate only to later find out they don't handle k class visas?

I have following questions related to K1 visa from Pakistan

1- If a person has never been out of Pakistan, does he/she still need a police certificate for k1?

2- If the person don't have vaccination record, then what should be done? Shall he/she get a vaccination certificate from a Dr. Or shall it be done during medical test? Any particular form needs to be filled on this or not?

I cant help with the first question. But as for vaccinations, start gwtting them now, some require 3 doses. Theres a lot to get.

Greetings All, I guess I’m a bit behind this site I found in my restlessness. My petition was received April 2, 2018. I have not had any change in status or movement of any sort besides the NOA1 saying received. I’m thinking by now it would have at least showed something more than processed. I wanted to know if the persons country mean something in moving to the next step? I also wanted to know if anyone has had any progress in there case? I have a friend that went through the process and said her case actually had been moving forward and never received notice that it was at NVC level.  So please if any one can give me feedback, I’m grately appreciative. Thank you I’m advance. CBake

Hey CBake. Welcome to the group! No need to stress yet. Its conpletely normal for it not to show anything until our noa2. I recommend having a look at your timeline and seeing when it estimatesyour approval - from what Ive heard from others on this site it tends to be pretty spot on. From my understanding they haven't even looked at our cases yet. At the moment they're working through Decemeber filers - and I've seen theyve approved people right up until the 27th December. By my calculations, that puts us at about 4 months away from hearing back about our cases. Good luck! We are all here for you in this journey :)

Morning Katie, Ive seen that but its most likely cos the info coming out of USCIS on the dates they are processing  changes going back ward and forward almost daily at the mo.

At this point I will be okay if we get our NOA2 this year, not hopeful for November right now.

Aww no don't  say that! I think we all are hoping to get it before the year is through!

  6. Hey everyone!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Has anyone else noticed their estimated timeline for their noa2 changes constantly every day?

Some days it bugs me when it goes later into the month, other days I am happy the timeline is getting shorter lol.

I know, I am way too obsessed with watching it fluctuate...haha!

Was just curious if anyone else had been getting their hopes built up then down then up then down then up again lol

Yep, we have a lovely bunch of internet family here and we will share knowledge and support each other through this heckish long process!!

I've had a couple of down days this week with my fiancé being super busy and me being ill but 41 days til I visit him and I'll let you all know what customs treat me like when travelling on my ESTA!!

More worried about my August visit as changing at Chicago and they were a nightmare each time I changed there last year before we even filed so expecting to be hauled into a back room for further questions this time but hoping I'll head that off with home ties evidence.

Going to do my weekly check of our case in a mo to make sure no RFE on its way but as I now know an RFE is an opportunity to correct a mistake or add more evidence where as a denial would be heartbreak!!

My fiancé Chayne lives in Seminole Oklahoma and I live in York England. Homes 4501 miles apart.

So hard working out schedules cross country! I hope you have a wonderful time when you meet up. I am too scared to stuff anything up with my visa travelling while this visa is processing, not to mention the cost of going back and forth is crazy expensive from down under to the midwest. John is planning a trip here this year though :)

Im surprised you have trouble in Chicago, Ive never found any trouble with O'Hare...except the one time they lost my luggage...lol. I was planning when we got approved to fly direct to Chicago to avoid LAX haha! That airport is so big it gives me a headache lol

  11. Hi Aprilettes!

My name is Katie (the beneficiary) and my partner John (the petitioner).

John's in Chicago and I'm from Australia.

We filed on the 28th of March, and got our NOA1 on the 6th of April. My projected timeline says we should hear back in October.

    WE ARE VERY EXCITED!

Wishing you all the best on this loooooonnnngg journey!

For the vast majority of users, the estimates on VJ for common cases (I-129F, I-130 for an immediate relative category, etc.) are pretty accurate. They are more accurate when the timelines are constant or getting shorter, and less accurate when the timeline is getting longer...simply because it knows when things speed up (more data points being entered) but has no idea when things slow down until it starts to see enough data on the slower timeframe.

The USCIS processing tables are what they go by for determining if a case is out of normal processing timelines, but those tend to be 2-3 months outdated at any point in time.

Wow thanks! That's good stuff to keep in mind.

We were a couple of days earlier than the timeline but @Naes only received their NOA2 yesterday even though we filed on the 15 September, it would seem that the time lines are getting shorter if you look at the bell curve on the stats page, it has been a nightmare for everyone last year watching the timeline go up and up, the May & June  people were hit worse since they were looking at @ 3 months to approval only to fined it was going to be eight months, we got ours in 180 days with no REF 's which I was surprised about when I read some of the things the USCIS were asking for.

Ah, I'll have to have a look at this bell curve. Im new on the site! Its so imformative and interesting learning of everyones experiences.
