    Insurance? What's that???

I kid. But no, I intentionally did it without. Not super concerned cause the cost of insurance is just under the cost of the penalty i pay for having to change a flight (paid tickets for airline X with airline X credit card, insurance built in). It's really a matter of just "enough already." If you're reading this you understand the feeling.

Process for us started in October of last year under an a 5-7 month (6 average) turnaround expectation. Nine months later until the date today and we're just so eager. Finally able to set a wedding date, etc, y'all know the feelings.

🤞 Everything will play out right🙏

So my fiance and I had been going crazy lately with this visa situation. Like so many of you, we were loosing patience and even faith in the process. We were bickering about the stupidest bs; it's so hard looking forward to a wedding you can't even plan with unknown dates. She has it worse 'cause at least I'm Stateside with our 5 year old (a citizen by birthright).

The stress is overwhelming as all of you here know.

So today I get a notification from the app. Excited at first to see USCIS, a total disappointment when I read that its just that cases like ours  are moving forward. Big effin whoop.

But I opened the app anyway and voila big surprise! "Your case is approved." No request for info, just flat out approved!!! Needless to say, we are thrilled.

Hold on there you October filers. Yours too will come. After so many months waiting, these last days are agonizing, but THE ARE THE LAST.

Got to give a shout out to the agency I paid for the process (RapidVisa). A little more costly than filing myself but they have a proven track record and truly won't let the package out of their hands until it's thoroughly reviewed and most likely to be approved. Also being able to pay on an installment plan made things so much easier.
