232 days later and we're approved!!! 😍😍😍 Of course, that's just the website, who knows when the NOA2 will actually come in the mail.
 
Anyone else here London embassy? I've heard good things, so fingers crossed.
 
Question: Is the number that will be on my NOA2 different than my USCIS number? In other words, if the physical letter hasn't turned up in 10 days, am I ok to start calling NVC?

hey guys just wanted to update...i received my case number today..called NVC to get it and was on hold for about 10 minutes total. 

Oh and we have the same NOA2 date and my fiance called just now and we got ours!! 

@Greenbaum posted it earlier 🤗 I think you need your WAC number and both beneficiary and petitioner's names and DOBs.

Woo hoo!!!! Guess we're calling today, you know, just to check 😝

They don't post the case number. You must call to get that number.

Call 1-800-375-5283
Press 1 to continue to English
Press 2 for case status
Press 1 if you know your receipt number
Press your receipt number 922(WAC) then your numeric receipt number
 
Option 4:
Dial 1-800-375-5283 then press 1,2,2,4,2,1 then enter receipt number then press 1.

Sorry if this is a stupid question and I’ve missed it on here but what do you mean by keep an eye on your case at CEAC? I thought you need the new case number to do that?

So very very true. You very eloquently explained exactly how I felt this morning. I'll just pick myself back up off the ground but can't say there aren't any bruises. You are probably very wise not to call until outside processing times. Now that I know we were given inaccurate information I wish my fiancé wouldn't have called. I would have rather heard "your application has been sitting on someone's desk since July 18th, gathering dust, and we have no idea when you will hear from us" than giving us so much hope and now we are just as much in the dark as before we called.

Im also scared my savings will be spent on furniture and home decor while I await my AOS 😂
 
And just for a laugh before I left a few weeks back I had a lifesize cardboard cut out made so he’d never feel alone in the apartment 😂😂 
It’s like I already live there now 😂

I'm from the Caribbean (Venezuela) so I'll be suffering a lot, and I'm waiting to buy winter clothes there because I can't imagine the chaos of travel with 3 jackets and boots and scarfs + all my regular stuff 😂😂

I actually called again yesterday and i got my NVC case number!!

They really don’t ! Lol my fiancé lives in Jamaica and I ask him if he is ready for the cold 

I called NVC like right now. I was told my case was received TODAY !! but no case number assigned yet  to wait up to 6 weeks  !  NOA2 July 30th. how long has it REALLY take to get a case number assigned?

Actually, contrary to popular belief, NVC does additional background checks as well. It definitely doesn't accept or reject cases, but it will send cases back to USCIS for further processing if need be.
 
The reasons for this are endless, sometimes, it could simply be the fact that it cannot get a hold of the beneficiary's contact details, like the beneficiary address on the I-129F is incomplete or unavailable. When things like this happens, NVC sends the case back to USCIS so that USCIS may sent an RFE to the petitioner. 
 
Sometimes, it's bad, and there are multiple perfectly reasonable and unreasonable reasons, and NVC will send the case back to USCIS for the case to expire there.
 
Do open an inquiry with USCIS when they receive your case from NVC, they will inform you on the whys and what to do.

We're starting to gather our supporting docs for the I-134 and want to know if we are on the right track. I keep seeing different info for active duty military. My petitioner is in the USAF.  So far we have his Proof of Service letter, last 3 W2s, IRS Tax Transcript and last 6 LES. Does anyone know if we're missing anything? Thanks in advance!!

you can always try this and fail at your k-1 visa interview. after that the CR-1 is  open for you. Good luck on your future CR-1 it's ony 14-16 month after you finally file

Just got word from the consulate, my appointment tomorrow is still on!!!!!!!!
