They are only closing public facing services in LOCAL field offices.   EAD is renewed via mail submission to the  lockbox and processed at the benefits center.   As of right now they are open for business. 

EAD card is produced! How long do I need to wait for my card to arrive?

Hello everyone. Minutes earlier I went to check my status like not expecting anything when I read YOUR INTERVIEW HAS BEEN SCHEDULED. I was with my mom ( she is visiting from Perú) And I screamed crying with her. Best news ever because finally I will be able to work, to study to visit my family in my country. Soooo happy. I know you Will get it soon tooo. Waiting to see when is my INTERVIEW and where. My office is st albans vermont. Good luck to everyoneeee

Thanks for this! I just sent the original copy of the translation, just in case. They have received my evidence and have resumed to work on my case

Sending a copy of the translation should have been okay. We used the same translation that he got in Lebanon for the interview and just made a copy of it. There's been no RFE as of yet. Sometimes, they lose papers. That may be the case.

I read that we can expedite EAD when we got a job offer. Does anyone know what is the procedure? Do I call the USCIS first or get the job offer first?

you mean for the AOS? I sent in my passport biography page and a copy of my visa

Thank you all for your advice! I think I should search for other volunteer work, as the nature of volunteer work that I am considering th apply for is normally paid.

You can volunteer but only in a role that no one would normally expect to be paid for. Helping in an animal shelter, a soup kitchen, that sort of thing that people do completely altruistically purely because they feel a personal calling to give their time to help those less fortunate. 

I volunteered as an English at an ESL school for the past 4 months (one way to help out fellow immigrants who aren't lucky enough to already speak the language!) I felt confident it was ok for two reasons: First, I have no training or qualifications as a teacher or an ESL educator - my professional field is something totally different. Second, the whole organization is volunteer-run, so there was no chance that I was taking away a paid opportunity from an American or green card holder. Just be careful that it won't look like you're doing professional "networking" or "working for free" in your field. 

You can do any volunteer work, as long as its nothing that a USC or LPR can get paid for. So make sure they don't normally pay anyone for what you would like to do.
And as said before, make sure you don't accept anything (food, shelter, gift cards etc)
