Just wanted to let everyone know that we finally got an approval on our case! I hope this gives people who are still waiting hope - i dont know if it had anything to do with it but we called quite a few times and asked for tier 2 and stated that our case was outside of normal processing times according to the uscis website and they had said to keep waiting till it was officially 7.5 months , but the last time we spoke to tier 2 they said theyd file an inquiry on our behalf and wed still be able to call if it was past the 7.5 mark, but thats just what we did out of worry- were not sure that that call had anything to do with the update- just pray and try not to lose your mind. Thank you for all of the support on this part of the forum!

230 days and counting. Yes. I want to see if I can beat the record. 250, 300 days perhaps?
Once it hits 270 I'm moving to April filers 😃 I like being tested.

Hey guys, im WAITINGGG till the website updates itself to say that i can submit a case enquiry for march 5th (and call them) which hopefully is in a few days but im wondering does that even make a difference? Has anyone else submitted an enquiry on the website and seen a reply or just SOMETHING!? thanks in advance
Same boat my friend, March 05 as well and complete silence on the NOA2. We called and put in an enquiry but nothing. Mar 5 must be cursed or something, my advice to stop the insanity is to not look at visa journey, delete apps and "pretend" you never even filed. Literally carry on like you're not even engaged and prepare for the long wait to at least next March. Then worry.
-pats seat in boat- come join me.

We filed the I-129F Dec 26, 2017 (NOA1 Notice Jan 02, 2018) and received Visa in hand Sept 21, 2018 hitting a week shy of 10 months total.
This chart provides a good window into what is currently happening with current Thai K1 applicants.
Yes congratulations on such a speedy approval and process!
Currently I am waiting for my NOA2, it was estimated to be received around the 3rd week of September, but so far nothing. I'm hoping by October we hear something, however, even that seems unlikely at this point.

The RFE was for not checking a box under the criminal history part, part 3 question 4a. Because I had answered NO to the questions above it I did not think I needed to complete that part. They have been telling us and our congresswoman that our security checks were pending for 8 months...no other answers. We filed a lawsuit after the one year mark for lack of response on our case and 6 weeks later received an RFE...all I can say is interesting timing! 🤔
I'm so sorry to hear this! I remember going over that form a million times and still overlooking boxes etc. As if the process is not complicated enough... jesus!

I wasn't actually going to start feverishly looking at the sites until after next week. I think the average for Thailand is about 193 days. I don't think they'll tell you anything of substance until you cross the 210 mark. Hang tight, it'll come!
Thanks, I wasn't planning on freaking out until mid-sep either, but seeing all these approvals had me hoping. Okay, back to waiting... thanks

Unfortunately, it's not abnormal to see others approved before you even if they were after or around the same time. Be patient and it'll happen!
Thanks, I know I should be patient.

I'm Thailand too, March 5th (NOA1 new site) but I've received nothing?
Should I call? Should I wait... should I delete my visajourney account so it doesn't drive me insane?! -

Everytime I get an email or a text I get excited and jump to my phone to check it, just to get disappointed when it's just a spam email, lol. I'm feeling a bit crazy today. We're so close! The waiting hasn't felt too awful until now. Really missing my SO extra today! I hope we keep seeing steady approvals and congrats to those who received theirs
let's all hang on tight and keep supporting one another!
This is literally me lol I keep obsessively looking at my phone!

Hello Everyone,
I'm curious to know whether the hospital keep the vaccination booklet (the one from childhood) with them/copy it OR forward it to the embassy?
I'm assuming the use it purely just for info and give it back?
Thank you!

Hi there, similar situation here. Recent college graduate, so very new to the workforce and needing a co-sponsor. From what I've heard, even embassies that tend to be nitpicky with co-sponsors usually are a bit more understanding with college students/recent graduates, provided they have a co-sponsor. Since your petitioner's father makes a sufficient amount to support you, be sure he completes an I-134 too, and be sure he includes additional evidence such as W-2s and tax returns from the previous three years, bank statements listing the amount in his account, or a letter from his employer certifying his salary. These additional pieces of evidence will go a long way in corroborating his ability to support you, so definitely include as many as possible. Unfortunately, the consular officer doesn't always take into consideration the beneficiary's assets, unless there's a lot of them and they're readily convertible into U.S. currency. Even so, though, the burden of proof is still on the U.S. petitioner to prove that you won't become a "public charge" while you're here. So while it can't hurt to include proof of your assets in your home country, be sure the petitioner or their co-sponsor have a sufficient amount to demonstrate that, under usual circumstances, they could support you if necessary. That's going to be primarily what the C.O. is looking at. But as long as your co-sponsor can provide some of that evidence, you should be fine!
Thank you so much for your reply! This made me feel a lot more CONFIDENT! I have made an active effort to research all paperwork and sufficient evidence my -soon to be- father in law needs in support of being the co-sponsor and although the officer won't count my assets I may bring a few (in case of emergency). Thank you once again, your words have calmed my woes

Hello Everyone,
I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences here, as I'm driving myself crazy researching and gathering information.
During the interview stage of my K-1, I'd like to know what the chances are of not being approved due to "Affidavit of Support" not being satisfactory enough?
Situation
- Petitioner is a student, his part-time job does not meet the poverty line.
- Petitioner's father is applying as co-sponsor (and makes way above the 125%).
- Interview will be held at Bangkok Embassy (where I haven't heard them nit-picking about this, but I'm still concerned).
*And please don't redirect this post to regional, the thread is relatively quiet!
Would it be a good idea for myself (the beneficiary) to also bring evidence?
- Letter of full-time employment.
- Letter of savings in bank.
- Letter of assets (I have a house which my parents reside in).
- Letter of parents savings.
*Are any of these applicable?
Thank you!

As you can see from my signature below, it only took us 90 days to get though the K-1 process. That was a year and a half ago, so I am not sure how things might have changed since then. I would like to comment that during our journey, I spoke with others that had filed at the same time and everyone was different. I really believe it all depends on your situation and a little luck on how fast your application will be processed. I would also like to add that the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok appears to be reasonably efficient. Good luck on your journey.
Scott
Thank you Scott, your posts always give me hope

Hello Everyone,
So, before you direct me to the Forums K-1 Processing Times I just wanted to get an overall opinion of how long it took for you to complete the whole process?
My fiance and I (after reading forums, experiences etc.) have estimated it to take (worst case scenario) around 12 months to have the visa in -my- hand.
I've read some Thai filers from 2016/2017 to have about a 6-8 month process though?
I'd just like an idea so I can plan it around quitting my job, shipping items, visiting family etc. before I have to leave Thailand!
Thank you
