Important Question: I just found out I might be able to qualify for expediting the K1 visa process because of financial loss. I wish I would have known this earlier, but I was so busy with very large intense work projects. I can't afford for this process to go on for months longer than what I was expecting because, recently my Filipina's job ended and this week needed medical care. I am having to pay for all of her expenses, housing, food, clothes, etc and this week she had to have unexpected surgery. My NOA1 date is Nov 10th but I am taking a larger financial hit with her surgery and she will need more care. What is the best way to approach to get my case expedited. Should I call my senator, call USCIS directly or are there other options. Who knows maybe I will get approved this week but I can't afford to anymore of a financial hit if this process by chance takes months longer than originally expected. Thanks

apparently something happened at the USA embassy in Moscow, and even though 60 diplomats are expelled, there still are dates for the interview. just booked my interview for May 10th, one day before my fiancée arrives in Russia. feeling incredibly happy

It took them 18 days from NOA2 just to receive my case. (Ugh.) When they receive your case you'll know if you're in the electronic group if they ask you to call back and dial 5.  

BTW I never did this but you also have the option to call USCIS and ask what day your case left USCIS.  

I have literally been logging on to VJ these days just to follow your case! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! FINALLY 

They will mail Packet 3 to you and email a copy to your fiancé. Your fiancé will likely receive it first (at least that's what happened with mine). You will send the *3 required documents (as stated on Packet 3) then Packet 4 will be emailed to you by the embassy within 3-4 days. And only then you can book your interview. If you book your interview too early, they will cancel it & ask you to reschedule.
 
3 required documents: Completed Checklist, Biopage of your Passport, DS-160

wait till NVC gets you case in.  You can start calling after 2 weeks and see if they have received your case and/or have a case number for you already.

by the time your withdraw reaches them you might be approved. Just leave it then either it gets approved or not, leave it.

since one week!!! Picked up mail yesterday and there was the letter! No update online... approval date was the 24th. 5 days since they recieved the RFE!!

You won't get denied for not having pictures.
Actually, USCIS has been given random RFEs. So, just relax and anticipate your NOA2. I think you will get it before February runs out.

I don't know if it's stress or something seriously wrong with me or I'm going crazy... but I feel like a new part of my body is in pain every day.

I'm July 11th. Received RFE on Jan30th. Sent it back on Feb5th. Delivered to them on the 6th. But RFE is not updated in their system.

Just checked the tracker app before bed...CSC got our RFE yesterday (Feb 5)!! Nice and speedy. Hopefully hearing back doesn't take long now.

Guys I am losing my S### today. I can't stay positive at all. I was in the middle of a case at work and was asked a question and my answer was "that is if they let him come here" which had absolutely nothing to do with what we were talking about. I have been away from my home for a few months now for "work" and i can't tell if they had sent me a mail and it is sitting there in my mail box or if the case still hasn't been looked at. I just can't do this anymore. What do i do? I catch myself feeling envious of other couples around me (which is freaking me the F#@# out). Is this really what it takes to love? 
 
Anyways, there has been a bunch of approvals on this site and i am so happy for you all. I pray they keep working on stuff and making progress. 

July 5th filer here, the app updated for us today, we got an RFE. How much time on average does this add? I’m feeling really discouraged.

It might take longer for some but remember they will get to your case eventually. Try to find things in your life to do that you can control while you wait like getting in shape or saving up extra money or try to learn your fiances language for example. Also for beneficiaries remember that you might not see your families for awhile so enjoy this time you have with them. Your time will come soon!

Finally after 6mos and 7 days.. we got the approval notice.. noa2.. 192days OF waiting.. 😍😍😍
