My fiancée has tried to get them free in brazil but they give priority to infants who need vaccines

Idk where your fiancee lives. But if she lives in a bigger city, tell her to try going to a "posto de saúde" in a different neighborhood. In 2015 I tried getting a shot and they would not give it to me. Then I went to another neighborhood and was able to get it.

The email from the medical office clearly says no immunizations are required , but I would bring your record 🤗

Oh, I didn't know that. I haven't contacted them. I was just thinking it was the same process as in Belo bc there they are requiring the vaccines.

Would I have to take the ds-3025 to a doctor after I get to the US so I can take a look at what shots I need or something tho?

The physical appointment wasn't what I expected. I expected it to be more intensive, but it was mainly questioning and superficial checkups.

First I paid the R$ 700 to the secretary, gave my passport and ASC confirmation page (Which has my RDJ number), gave 6 3x4 photos, and my vaccination records, and filled out something she asked me.

The doctor asked me If I had any surgery during my life, asked if I donated blood, asked if I had done HIV testing (I did when I donated blood). I showed him my eyes exam and told him I had nystagmus. When I said that, he focused a part of the appointment on it. He asked when I first detected it, how it interfered with my life, what was the cause of it, etc. For him, only diseases could cause nystagmus, I explained to him that that was not the only cause. He did some research on Nystagmus while I was explaining that to him and he saw what I meant. He also asked if I could drive, I said that I can but I don't have a driver’s license because of my sight limitations. It was not in a rude way, it was fine. He gave me the DS-3025 together with my vaccination records.

After the questioning he measured my height, my weight, he took my forehead temperature, checked my throat, my heart pulses, my blood pressure and my ears. He then explained to me that my visual limitation is considered a "disability" and that I wouldn't be able to do some kind of works. I said I understand, but for my area of work it does not impact me that much (I am a Software Engineer). That was it.

When I went there to pick the sealed envelope up, the secretary also gave me the exams I took (Urine, Blood, X-Ray). She said I will need them entering the USA. Those exams were not sealed.

Oh okay, so he didnt ask you a bunch of questions regarding if you had lived in the us in the past or had a visa denied? lol

Do you know if I need to bring a copy of my vaccination records or will they keep the original one there for a day or two? and did you need to get any additional vaccines or where all good?

Thanks for that explanation. That was very insightful! My fiance will be joining me for the interview so I might arrive a few days early to get the medical done at go to the CASV. So from your information I know that it takes 3 days from the day I get the exams done to the day I get the results back.  On the 25th, did you get the exams done in the morning and then go into the medical in the afternoon?

I did in Belo Horizonte and she indeed ask those questions. Though, I think it's a procedure, because she took notes of it. Wasn't a problem after all anyway.

Oh I know that she asks stuff like that and that she writes things down but the way he told me made it sound like it was not a good experience. He said she asked him if he'd ever been there, if he'd ever been there illegally, if he had ever tried for a fiance and if he was ever denied one. Like what does that have to do with the medical? Ive gone over the medical form and nowhere does it ask things like that lol

He also said that she asked if he has chickenpox in the past and he said that he had it when he was 7 and then he said that she started asking him '' but how do you know'' then he proceeded to her that he remembers and the she insisted on asking him how he knew it was chickenpox and then went on to give him a little lecture on how he'll need to have evidence of everything that he says once he is living in the US. Idk, he thought it was strange and I thought the same thing as he was telling me.

I did all the exams and physical on the same day (Tuesday September 25th), I got my DS-3025 at the end of the physical. The sealed envelope was available for me to pick it up September 28th.

Thanks you for that! And congratulations on your approval!! Hopefully I'll be in your same situation in about a month :)

I was originally gonna get my medical in Belo Horizonte but I'm now thinking of getting it in Rio.

My friend got his medical done in Belo and he said the doctor was not friendly and asked him a bunch of random non medical questions. She even asked if he had lived illegally in the US at any time of his life.

Would you mind sharing how your actual medical went, what questions were asked and stuff like that?

I put yes because it had the hint on the side that said the fiancee is considered an immediate relative. I'll let you know if it was correct because my fiance is going to the interview Monday 😁

    Oh okay, thank you.

And about the interview. I thought that fiancé visa interviews where only held on Tuesdays. I didn't know they opened up Mondays too?

    But good luck tomorrow!

Recently we have seen more and more information appear on the DS-160 from your Embassy's request. Once the form knows your Embassy then the questions can change for you. So, again I caution folks that some things can be Embassy specific so don't be surprised. Most of these questions are geared for the beneficiary and how they would answer it so don't get it confused that the petitioner is completing this form.

So does the beneficiary have any immediate relatives in the US? If YES according to the instructions and if there are none then NO.

    Hi there,

I am the beneficiary and im the one who is filling out the DS-160. Below is an image of how it this immediate relatives question looks like on my DS-160 (in case someone else is curious about this). According to the instructions, fiance is now an immediate relative. So for now I have chosen fiance and have put in my fiancee's information.

I just wanted to make sure because I have seen people debating on older k-1 posts saying that fiance is not a relative and they did not consider it to be one, even though the instructions say that they consider it to be.

  9. Hello all, Let me give some context before I ask the question.

So some of you might remember me from previous posts and how our attorney messed up on some little things on our i-129f packet, but thank God we were approved. But we signed a contract with her saying we would pay the entire k-1 visa process to them (which we already have). So the last thing on the contract was to the fees for her to fill out the I-134 for us. So she filled that out and we paid the office so we dont owe them anything.

Here is the problem, we noticed more little mistakes on the I-134 and form G-28 also. Like on the pages where signatures are required, she wrote the signatures in blue ink and dates in blue ink. On page 5 where it asks to inform the preparer's name, she wrote it in blue ink and there was whiteout before it too, but it at least fit in the box (but this page is less important since we can correct the mistake ourselves since it doesn't require her signature). On page 7 there are two things that bother us. Where she's supposed to inform her email, her assistant put whiteout over the email that was originally there and wrote the new email in front of the whiteout but the email ended up not fitting within the box.

I read that signing in blue ink is not a problem, but what's getting us a little mad is the fact that she used whiteout twice. On the preparer's name (which was written in blue) on later on the preparer's email (which did not fit in the box).

    My questions are:

    • We're upset because we paid good money so we expected a good product, so we would like to know if we can simply re-do form I-134 ourselves without her? That way we would not need the g-28 or her signatures as a preparer on form I-134. Or do we need her to fill out the form on our behalf since she was our legal representative for the I-129f petition?
    •  We initially thought it was good to have a legal representative for the I-129f petition in case something came up, but we would like to know whats the worst that can happen at the interview if we hand in the I-134 done by ourselves with some mistake made. Would they just ask us to send in another one?

Sorry for the long post. It's just that we just dont want to mess things up at the final stretch so we thought that the community would help us more than the actual attorney.

  10. For those who have already filled out the ds-160:

I started to fill mine out and there is a part where they ask if you have any immediate relative in the US. I thought that only meant parents, siblings or children. But there's a side note on the page where it says that fiancé is also considered to be an immediate relative. I have filled out ds-160s in the past and this was not an option. So should I click on fiancé and proceed with adding my fiancée's information?

  11. Hello all, quick question:

Filling out the ds-160 and I came across a question that asks about immediate relatives in the US. I thought it meant only spouse, parents or siblings but they say that fiancé is also an immediate relative so I put in fiancée and then oitt in my fiancée's name. Is that what you guys also did and is that what shout be done?

  12. So we received our case number on the 20th and no we're just waiting for it to be ready to we can schedule our interview. But I wanted to ask you guys if I can start filling out the DS-160 as of now and saving it, then only submit it after my case is ready or can already submit it now? Or do you guys suggest that I take a different approach?

Thank you and im sorry if this has already been asked.
