  1. Two more travel experiences

Flew Virgin Airlines from Orlando to London Heathrow and then back to Orlando from London at the end of January. No problems whatsoever. Never even asked to see the extension letter upon return to the USA.

Flew from Orlando to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and then back to Orlando at the beginning of March. Again, no problems. This time I was asked for my extension letter upon arrival back to Orlando, but they took one look at it and we were good to go.

In all, have been back and forth to Canada about 5 times, gone on a cruise to the Bahamas, a trip to London, and a trip to the Domician Republic on my extension letter and it has gone very smoothly each time. The biggest holdup was the cruise to the Bahamas because the Royal Caribbean employee needed a manager to sign off on it on their computer.

  2. Hello everyone,

Quick background: I became a permanent resident and got my green card at the beginning of 2020, right before covid hit. I wasn't able to get to the SSN office to update my SSN number before they all shut down due to covid. Currently, my SSN card has the "DHS authorization" restriction on it, and my conditional 2 year green card is now expired. I have submitted my ROC documents and have my 24 month extension letter.

Am I able to go to the SSN offices with my expired green card and valid extension letter and update my SSN to remove this restriction? If anyone has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate hearing it.

    Thank you.

  3. Recently got back from traveling to and from Canada with my extension letter (flying with Air Canada). On return to the US, everything went smoothly with US customs in Toronto Airport - I handed the customs agent my green card, passport and boarding pass. She typed some things into her computer, asked why I was in Canada, and then asked me for my extension letter. I handed the extension letter to her and she looked at both pages and told me goodbye. Very simple!

Did anyone receive a letter of Biometric approval/waiver (from prior collection) but NOT have their online status updated? We received paper notification Nov 29 2021 for waiver/prior-approval, but online status still doesn't say anything about that.

    Thanks!

Same here... I received my biometric waiver letter in the mail but my online status did not change either. I think this is fairly common for the online status to not always update.

I received my physical waiver biometric letter however my online status has not been updated yet. Should i carry this biometric letter along with my 2 year extension notice as i travel outside the country? Anyone else in the same boat?

I also received my physical biometric waiver letter but my online status never changed.

When I left the country for Christmas, I brought my 2 year extension letter and the biometric waiver letter out of precaution - I think I was being overly cautious about it though. It doesn't hurt to bring the biometric waiver letter if it makes you feel better having it, but I don't believe it's required.

    Hello,

I'm putting together my wife's ROC (original submission), and Form Filing Tips from USCIS state to put the A# and name on each attachment.

    Specifically, it reads:

"If you have any attachments, make sure each attached page has your name and A-Number "

Does that mean every page of each supporting document need that? Interesting it refers to supporting information thoughout the tips as 'documents'  but the above states 'attachments' as if it's something other than documents.

I have printed the petitioner's name and A# on small, return address labels to apply to each page if it is really required.

Like the other commenter responded, I believe this is only required if you have additional pages you need to add to the actual I-751 form itself - just in case you need more space to explain specific answers to the questions.

In regards to the supporting evidence you’re including (I.e. joint bank statements, insurance, joint car title, etc.), I personally did NOT add my A# to those, and believe it is unnecessary.

Hi all. Complicated question. I just filed my I-751 as a male battered spouse. I included copious amounts of evidence, and submitted a G-1145. My packet was delivered on Dec 2nd, but I’ve yet to receive the text or email notification from us is that they’ve received the packet. They haven’t cashed the money order yet too.

    do I need to worry?

    thanks?

Give it a few more days and you should receive a text notification in the next week or so. Mine was delivered Nov 3 and I didn’t hear anything from USCIS for about a week. Best of luck.

So yeah we are definitely routed to Potomac. We finally got in the Do not pass go lane. Haha

I don't think that you got flagged, I think it is a state specific thing.. on the spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vonQCJgs9HODO2Y1DdSs3HNyL_FRnMfenlIeDQAUpWg/edit?usp=sharing) it seems like the majority of other Florida I-751 filers got sent to YSC. I got YSC as well and I am in Orlando. It is weird that you got two receipt numbers though.

I put my documents in a normal/yellow Universal Kraft Clasp Envelope, I did not put any address in this envelope. Then, I put this envelope inside the USPS envelope for express delivery and of course this envelope has the correct address, the package was delivered yesterday, I was just afraid that they open the USPS envelope and then they can loose the yellow envelope with the documents just because there is no label saying I-751.....but I hope nothing bad will happen.

I'm sure it will be okay, and that you are not the only one who has submitted their documents like this. The most important part is that you sent it to the right address and that the USPS envelope was labelled correctly.

They are going to open up the USPS package, see the yellow envelope inside, and when they open the yellow envelope they will see your I-751 that you filled out with all of your supporting documents! ☺️ Should be just fine!

    Hi everyone,

I sent my package yesterday (11/29) and it was received in Texas PO 21200 today, but I'm in panic because I did not label the envelope with my documents, I just went to USPS and put my envelope inside the priority envelope, do you think that my documents can get lost?

I also did not fill the G-1145 (yes, I know :( )...how am I going to know that it's been received and in process??

Are you filing the I-751? The USPS address for it is in Arizona, not Texas.

Hi everyone! I will be a December filer and I have a question. Those of you who received a text message (or not), did you also receive an email or notification from your USCIS account about your case? Like to know what your case number is if you don’t get a text?

    thanks

No, I never received an email.. just a text with my case number and my physical NOA in the mail a couple weeks later.
