My husband had his interview Thursday 11/12 in Chicago. I felt like the interview was intense. We left being told that our case was under review. About 30-45 minutes after our interview our case status updated to new card being produced and today it updated to case was approved. Finally! After 2 years of marriage.

About 30-45 minutes after our interview our case status updated to new card being produced and today it updated to case was approved. Finally! After 2 years of marriage.

USPS Informed Delivery shows we have something from USCIS coming in the mail today. No update on the tracker. Crossing fingers.

It was our interview notice! November 12!

Since we are not outside of normal processing times they won’t tell us much if anything. As far as making their cases move, I really feel it is more coincidental than actually a result of calling in. I could be wrong. The wait is hard, but worth it in the end.

The way it was stated was that they did not have it. It was already mailed back almost a week ago. We are good.

My husband got his NOA yesterday and the funds finally cleared our account today. I knew it must’ve gone through to receive the NOA, but the wait for the check to clear was nail biting. Now I can breathe again financially. Lol

We received several texts on Thursday that his NOA will be mailed. I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief...

My husband received his NOA today. He’s so happy!

Visa finally approved after 358 days !!!

Finally got to have our wedding on the beach...

Hi everyone, I had to take some time off VJ due to my level of stress. I am picking up my passport this Friday and travelling to the US that same day, boy this has been one hell of a journey and I've spent SO MUCH MONEY visiting my fiance. I do hope everyone still waiting gets through and that this is like they say when a woman has a baby, she forgets all about the bad prenancy stuff and just enjoys the baby, in our case, our long awaited marriage.

After 290 days, we finally received our NOA2!!!! This process is harsh!!!

Just wanted to take a moment to write about my fiance's experience in Rio de Janeiro. 
 
Quick little background: my fiance has never been able to visit me in the USA. His ex-wife and two sons came to the US about 5 years ago on k1, etc. Due to this, he was never given a tourist visa as he was deemed high risk to stay illegally. When we first met, knowing his sons were already here made me very wary of our relationship. Needless to say, he proved his intentions. 
 
When he got there, everything went as what previous couple's shared. However, once he got to the actual interview part, he was asked many questions. His interview took about half an hour. He was getting discouraged because he saw many other couples done within about 5 minutes. 
 
We have been nervous because we knew the interview would be more difficult due to his sons being in the US already. However, all went well. 
 
Don't get discouraged yet, my friends! You've made it this far! The best is yet to come!
