I mean I get it that people are upset when waiting so long, who wouldnt be??? BUT its extremely just as un empathetic and selfish to tell people they cant be happy or hopeful for themselves just because you havent gotten your approval.

So I cant share If  I get an approval today and be happy about it because people in June are waiting???? Yeah right. That IS NOT what Visa Journey is meant for. It is meant for ALL of us. #rantover

Respectfully, we've had this conversation already. We want to stay positive and uplift one another. We are eager to hear of the happiness of receiving approvals. We also should be sensitive and supportive of those still waiting.

This forum is meant for ALL of us....yes. Let's be positive....

Felicidades! My fiancé is in the Dominican. I would love to hear your experiences.

  5. Hello fellow November filers....I am wondering if I need to call and update USCIS about the following:

    1. My fiancé (beneficiary in the Dominican Republic) has two last names - - father's last name followed by the mother's last name  (surnames). I submitted the petition only using one     name...the father's. Should I contact USCIS to add the second name?

    2. My fiancé (beneficiary) has changed employers - - do I need to update by calling USCIS?

    3. I realized that I stated he worked at a job...with an end date in the future. I typed Dec 2017 on a application filed Nov 2017...instead of Dec 2016.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I want avoid an rfe.

what do you mean? i don't understand... well i thought we needed the w2s, tax returns, and tax transcripts all from post 3 years. so 2015, 2016, and 2017 tax year correct

    5.

You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

    (A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
    (B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
    (C) If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern
    (D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

    I have A and B.

IRS Transcripts are specifically required of individuals who are self-employed.

Tax return transcripts, though both were available the account transcripts were also available to download. When i went on the website it said request by mail or online.I chose the online version, it ask several security questions to set an account and after that all of my tax returns showed up with transcripts or account transcripts available.

I used the online method and printed the wage transcript. They want to know if your income/wages pass the poverty threshold. I am not self-employed and will have other documents as well.

4-5 days difference between acceptance and the Nov 6th date on the hard copy is hardly worth being concerned about. Technically NOA1 date would be November 6th, the official date the accepted the petition; but again, 4-5 days isn't worth even being worried about.

Thank you. You are absolutely right. There is nothing to worry about.

I've been using the 6th as my NOA1 date for tracking purposes

  9. What is considered the NOA1 date?

    The glossary states -

The "NOA" is internet-speak for the I-797 "Notice of Action" -- with "NOA1" being the receipt and "NOA2" being the notice of approval. [Please note that there is the possibility of other I-797's being generated prior to approval notices].

I mailed my petition Nov 1st, it was received at the lockbox Nov 2nd (this is the date stated on the USCIS case tracker). The petition was transferred to California. I received the email and text on Nov 7th and the actual hardcopy of the NOA1 has a date of Nov 6th.

Is my NOA1 date Nov 6th or Nov 2nd?

I've read the forum throughout the day, everyday...but still not able to confirm my correct NOA1 date.

    Please lend your thoughts.
