  1. It’s possible. Reading other people’s experiences (you’re not the first!), they will send it back to you. My initial packet was returned to me because they didn’t see the payment authorization-though it was there. It was fast, like a week.
  2. My husband had zero documentation and got all that were needed, single dose. None were a series that I’m aware of.
  3. Right at 3 months. And the interview date was a month from the notice.
  4. It may be cheaper and easier to get the vaccines again if your country provides them at low/no cost. Then bring the document. The doctor will probably just give you the vaccines you’d need that aren’t documented, but at a higher cost. Testing May cost about the same and require more effort.
  5. I think you’ll be glad you did! Happy thoughts for your interview!
  6. I hoped they would give it back. Not sure if the difference is by area or new procedures since then. They said they will mail ours back.
  7. This isn’t a question as much as a possible tip. In Phoenix, at the oath ceremony, they have passport staff present to take completed applications. We had an appointment at an office 45 minutes away the same afternoon, so we hightailed it to the nearest CVS to get pictures and money orders. We had a completed application at home but filled out a new one there. If you’re interested in getting a passport ASAP, find out if your city has the same. Since Covid, no acceptance facility accepts walk-ins and appointments can be a month out. The person also said they hand carry them to processing which saves 10 days of total turnaround. If you go with the completed form, pics and money orders, you can spend five minutes and be done. The downside being you leave your certificate with them.
  8. My husband didn’t show his passport. He had his oath ceremony last Friday.
  9. You can upload the bare minimum. It depends on how important it is to be approved at the interview or wait for a decision. I always followed the rule of thumb to make it easy to approve up front. We got approved at all three interviews with no waiting.
  10. Combine statements by the different accounts but put them in one document (size permitting). Upload everything. They can verify a lot before the interview and the easier you make it to be approved ahead of time, the more likely you can be approved at the interview instead of having to wait.
  11. My husband got approved last week. He took all the documents requested and a few extra because he was overthinking it. Didn’t show them anything.
  12. Interview & approval today. It estimated 11 months as of yesterday.
  13. Interview today. Painless-Oath Ceremony on the 26th.
  14. If you were not a green card holder yet, it sounds like you were not yet in an immigrant status. Which means you weren’t required to register. If you were already 26 the day you got your green card it sounds like it doesn’t apply to you.
  15. Don’t fret-you will resume processing and it won’t start over from scratch.
  16. When you apply under the 3 year rule (as we did), it does ask for proof of the marriage-not as much as when we removed conditions, but it’s still a perk of being married to a USC. Uploading leases/mortgages, tax filings, etc are part of the filing. It’s discretionary for the officer to question it further, but it’s still married-based.
  17. You most likely have a copy of the card somewhere. You sent it in for the ROC-if you saved a copy of that package, or you saved the image to be printed for that.
  18. Anyone who tells you that crossing by land from Canada has never done it. But no-there’s no advantage.
  19. I sent payment in with the credit card authorization and they somehow missed it and sent back asking for payment. I simply re-sent it. Some processing had taken place, and it will be re-arranged. Leave it as is. It will also have a sheet to keep on top so it will go back th be processed where they left off. Glad you’re getting your originals back-you will show those at the interview.
  20. It will be interesting to see how it goes since people in sham marriages tend to not plan it out very well. The fact that you know about it shows they’re over confident in how easy it will be to pull off.
  21. If she said it on YouTube, it’s possible it was just puffing. Unless she seems to k ow anything she couldn’t otherwise. Most agencies with sensitive personal information can see who’s accessed your information. They’re not supposed to even look at it if they’re not working on the case. It would be easy to tell.
  22. 1) USCIS gets a lot of kooks calling to use them as a way to harrass immigrants. A scorned ex, a jealous nut job…they call regularly. Even citizens who were used for a green card get little satisfaction calling it in. This person who doesn’t know you is not going to get far. 2) if she really did get info from her cousin to use to harrass you, I would sue them both for everything they’ve got. Play dumb and let her keep talking about that. The more you can get her to talk about that, the better your chances of you getting a settlement. She and her cousin should be worried about criminal and civil consequences from what she’s written. You and your husband can take your time plotting revenge. Play dumb.
  23. My gut is no. They reviewed all this when the processed his visa. Things that are issues with a B1/B2 visa are not issues with an immigrant visa. The things mentioned wouldn’t be of concern for an immigrating person. I knew someone who had a B1/B2 and was turned away coming back from a trip as they saw he was living here. He got an immigrant visa through family and came back. If two lawyers told you not to worry about it as well, that’s a lot of concurrence with what we’ve said. The other two sound like they want to tell you the same but get paid to. I know it’s nerve-racking, but from a neutral viewpoint-I think you’re over thinking it.
  24. They won’t try to second guess the USCIS decision. They aren’t there to reopen the case. His non-immigrant issues don’t carry over to the immigrant visa. They aren’t material to immigrant visas.
