In my case, we interviewed on the 17th of this month in Philadelphia. Here's my review that I provided to somebody else...very YMMV:

We arrived 15 minutes early and went into the interview door. We passed through security first...no metal, no shoes, no watches, etc. allowed on you, but I told them about my opened orange juice in a bag and the officer was fine with it. Just no eating/drinking allowed inside. They also check the appointment notice letter before the metal detectors, so have that ready.
 
Then is the front desk, who verified our appointment and told us to go to the 2nd floor. 1st floors looks to be for InfoPass appointments.
 
Upstairs was just  large waiting room half full of people waiting to be called. There are 4 doors where they call your name...we had a "2" written on our paper by the front desk person, so we sat near door #2. We waited until about ~5-10 min after our appointment time before the IO opened a door and called my wife's name.
 
The IO we had was a very nice woman...maybe 35-45 years old? She said she reviewed out case already and invited us into her office (there's like 6 offices behind each of the 4 doors in the waiting room). She asked us to stand and then we did the oath to tell the truth. Then she asked my wife how we met, which we said online via the OK Cupid website. Then she went over the I-485 to verify her name, address (we moved, so she updated it), # of marriages, where she was born, and a few other items on it. Then she went page by page asking a few of the questions from the I485 (i.e. are you a spy? Have you ever murdered somebody? etc...all directly from the I-485).
 
Then she said that's all she had and asked us if we had any questions before she approves us. I asked about the address in the system to make sure she gets the green card at the new address, which she verified was already updated in her computer system. I also asked if her existing AP was valid to use for a trip next month, and she said that's fine to use even if the I-485 is approved before her return.
 
Overall, we were in and out in like 5 minutes and we were smiling with her and such the whole time. We had a mountain of papers to show (new home's title, trips we made, etc.) but she didn't ask for them and I wasn't going to volunteer them when she said we were approved already. I can take "yes" for an answer. haha My wife was happy but a little annoyed and disappointed since we had so much to show and it wasn't needed.
 
She said the green card should arrive in about 3 weeks. Not sure if that's true, but I wasn't going to say anything. haha
Update: The card was shipped today.
 
Then we spent the rest of the day seeing Philadelphia (since we live ~2.5h-3h away).

My birth certificate has my parents details on it? I've never seen the shortened version.... what year were you born? 

Omg I felt the same way but just sent it out 2 days ago and glad that part is over-good luck.

I think I got it the day before

What's even better is the embassy sent me a reminder email of my appointment with the new address, but the old postcode! Hope that doesn't catch anyone out....

My fiance employment letter was sent to him from HR electronically as a .pdf so we didn't have a wet signature. I also provided bank statement print outs and w2 and all was fine. 
 
I think as long as they earn enough they don't care. I heard the lady before me had provided w2 and bank letter and they weren't happy with this and asked for her most recent tax return as well. So I can only assume her earnings were close to the poverty line limit. 

All three added up to 40kg. 

Had my interview  in London on Friday morning, I was such a stressed out mess but it was fine and so quick, approved!!

And then she said I'm going to approve this, you'll have your passport back in 1-2 weeks.

I had my medical at knightsbridge last friday (March 16th) and I just wanted to tell you about my experience
I arrived 20 mins early at 1.10pm and they wouldn't allow me to officially 'check-in' until my actual appointment time at 1.30pm. The girls at the reception were sooo lovely and they just asked for all of my documents and then I had to fill out another medical questionnaire and do a urine sample, I handed both of these back into reception at 1.55pm. I waited until about 2.15pm and then I got called in for chest X-ray, this was very simple and took about 10 mins. I waited another 20 mins and then was called in to see the doctor - he asked me a couple of questions then tested my eyesight, checked my blood pressure, ears, temperature, throat and finally he took my blood. I was so nervous about getting my blood taken but the Doctor was so understanding and made it really easy for me. Some people said that their doctor checked their weight, height and reflexes also but for some reason, I didn't get this. I went back out to the waiting room for another 5/10 mins then the nurse called me in to go over my vaccinations. I was up to date with all of my Vacs so the nurse checked everything off, the only problem was - I got my last Tdap Jab in January 2009 which means it's still currently within the last 10 years so she was able to check it off for AOS however, if I get my AOS interview after January 2019 then my Tdap won't be valid within the 10years anymore. I asked the nurse to just give me a Tdap booster when I was at knightsbridge but she wouldn't give it to me coz I am still currently within the 10 years  so I'm probably gonna have to pay a fortune for it in the states   Did anyone else have this problem too?? Anyways, other than that everything was great and I left knightsbridge at 3.20pm so I was in there for just over 2 hours! My interview is in 2.5 weeks so hopefully there are no issues with my medical results and they'll just get sent straight to the embassy
