Smart moves with the fishing and hunting license. I guess reading about other people's experience gives you more scope on how to navigate the complex structure of American Systems. In some state, with your valid visa, other documents, you can get a DL until the last date of your Visa.

I think you can reschedule oath ceremony, you might want to confirm with USCIS. You have the option of rescheduling anything with USCIS, the problem just lies in the fact that rescheduling with them sometimes do lead to missed opportunity, delayed and in some crazy scenario denial for a "NO SHOW" despite having a confirmed reschedule appointment.

3rd quarter (Apr-June) n400 processing data came last week - little improvement in backlog over the previous quarter. Some respite.

Three new voters join the ranks today! I will share more details of the interview in the office review but got done with naturalization process today. They administered oath same day. From start to finish - took 1.5 hours. All the best to everyone still waiting!

of course not but if OP (or anyone else) cant stand up to my line of thought and questioning.... I'm probably far less critical and cynical than an IO on a THIRD ROC interview, who is probably at this point, actively LOOKING for reasons to deny....

OP, all I've got for you is to get your s*** together. Every single bank statement, joint credit card, photos, affidavits, taxes, utilities, wills, power of attorneys, texts, ANYTHING over the entire course of your marriage to DATE - every single month. No skipping months or doing quarterly or twice yearly as many of us can do and get away with. I will assume they are actively looking to deny you now, so you HAVE to get EVERYTHING together, and make sure the BOTH of you can answer very hard questions, the same. dont focus or put much stress on the negative (avoid it if at all possible in fact). focus on the GOOD and the FUTURE and FUTURE plans...

I friend of mine (who filed in Jan too) had a trip coming up at the end of July.  She had her interview last week and she was offered the possibility to take the oath.  She asked the officer if she could schedule it for after her return from the trip and she did.  So that is a possibility, you might ask, or maybe the oath won't be right away.  I would wait on scheduling your trip till you know what's going to happen after the interview.

Pleasant officer. Straight forward interview. Q&A first (6/6), then a few questions about my trips outside USA (how many trips, why to those countries, who did you visit), and my educational background and current profession.  Then we went over most of the yes/no questions at the end of the N400 form and I was asked to read and write 1 simple sentence on an ipad and that’s it.

Thanks to everyone for the posts and support. It helped me stay sane during this painful process.

Good luck to everyone in the queue.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Today I had my interview in Tampa USCIS Office.
There were SO MANY people this morning, it's just unbelievable - like, around 30 for the ceremony and huge line for 9am interview.  It seems to me that I was the only one without lawyer or interpreter, interesting fact...
The process  is standard I believe - checking the list with security guard before the entry, then all the security protocol, then I got my number from the front desk (is it a front desk? They assigned the number and told me to wait).
The officer was very neutral and I'm happy about it - not good, not bad, very official and very fast, eventually).
She asked to read a sentence from the tablet, then asked to write a sentence, and wright after asked couple of questions:
    - When the Declaration of independence was adopted?
    - How many voting members the House of Representatives has?
    - Why do some states have more Representatives then others?
    - Name three original states.
    - Name one war fought by the Unites States in the 1800.

After, she asked a couple of questions, like, if I'm still married, is this the same address we live in,  when did we buy it, then this list of question where we are supposed to say NO to everything).
Aaaand that's all. She gave me this N-652 form, where is mentioned that I passed the English test and the application has been recommended for approval, and said that the Letter for Oath Ceremony will come by mail within next 3-4 weeks, as soon as it will be sheduled.
So, that was it. 5-year journey is almost over. Still cant believe it)

And thank you, thank you to everyone who shared their stories, who submitted samples, who advised and supported.
I wish everyone only best of luck and hope that this certificates of naturalization will bring peace and prosperity to all of us.
    God speed and good luck!

Hang tight. There are others in the same boat. My chat with a live agent last week did disclose that the process has slowed down. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the suspense till the climax.

oath ceremony took place today at federal plaza in NY - a rather sad and uneventful ceremony given covid restrictions... but after 1,799 days (or 4 years, 11 months, 2 days) since submitting a K-1 visa we are US citizens!

we were able to get everything done without a lawyer, so a huge thank you to everyone who has and continues to post on here.. we were also lucky enough that nothing got messed up along the way, which is an unfortunate reality for some folks on here.

good luck to everyone still on the path! looking forward to providing assistance to folks in the future.

I think I read somewhere on this forum that Atlanta, GA is the original field office while Montgomery, AL is a sub-field of Atlanta. I am not sure how accurate this information is. Hey at least you have got action going for you!!!!

USCIS usually give you about 1 month notice and your interview notice usually pop on in the portal after about 24hrs and also look out for the notice in the mail. Is it possible you delay your travel back home your field office might be doing a same day day oath ceremony.
