That's what I'm panicking about, the NVC stage as its looking like its taking everybody over a month, if i got my approval this week then i could possibly (and I'm really stretching that 'possibly') be there for October but i'm honestly just losing hope now. We are still awaiting for a response of our enquiry we made last week. My flight is already booked for October so i just checked the airline and it looks like there isn't a charge to change the dates which was a relief.

137 days  .... I now know i wont be there for the 3rd October like i planned, this is so frustrating.

I thought so, I haven't seen packet 3 mentioned anywhere including the embassy website for London. Congrats on it going ready too, your fiance is going to be there in no time now!

Just out of curiosity (as you all know from my moaning I'm not at this point yet), anyone from the UK do we actually receive packet 3 or is it a case of calling NVC and getting our case number and then once its 'ready' we fill out the DS-160 and then pay the fee and schedule our medical and interview. 

Whilst I'm going stir crazy, i thought it would be a good idea to write down a step by step of what i need to do once i get the phantom letter.

Called them today. Said they're still processing cases from Jan 15 even though people with NOA1 from March/April are being processed. Sigh. 

It's so infuriating that they think it's ok to give us that answer each time we call, even after we tell them that we know indefinitely that they are processing march they must think we are so stupid

It's strange that Feb 28 were ignored. After 132 days, we're still here waiting for that damn approval. I'm trying to stay positive but waiting and not knowing what is going on is terribly hard. Have you guys tried speaking to tier 2? They are not very helpful as we're still "within processing times". I don't know what else I can do to let them know "hey you forgot about Feb28".

My fiance was meant to call them yesterday but he had a hectic work day so he's going to do it tomorrow, we have tried before and we just got the generic 'your in normal processing time'. It's a comfort knowing I'm not the only one waiting on this date, if I thought it was just me alone I would be an absolute mess. Maybe the persons desk were sat on has been on a extra extra long holiday.... to the moon.

Feb filer here, we are on day 130 with no sign of the NOA2. We have wrote to the congressman to no avail, called and got the usual response. So now im just sat here like

What I really want to know is how USCIS goes through the files. The order is SO inconsistent its ridiculous. I just saw they updated the processing times today, they are still on 'Jan 15. 2017'  where they were on the same date when they last updated Feb 14. For real?

I know its absolutely ridiculous, my fiance is going to call USCIS again tomorrow and be very persistent on speaking to a tier 2. We never got a response from the congressman which i wasn't impressed about, so this is all we can do for now.

So I got my medical report from my doctor listing my ailments last week and today I got my vaccinations (my arms are aching so bad lol) thankfully I only needed 2. Now I'm all done and dusted with my requirements for my medical and interview a NOA2 would be smashing!  

Day 126 not so patiently waiting......

We called USCIS again yesterday, and my bf lost his temper a bit with the agent, is just too much.

The only thing we know is we are in background check at the FBI since June the 5th. We asked if thats normal, and the guy laughed at us, saying there have been cases stuck in the background check for 2 years! 2 years!!! and there my bf exploded... 

 

We have contacted the congressman again, and this time he asked us to send all the papers and docs, so he can make an inquiry.

 

Maybe someone here can help us with some info about the background check, is this the 1st step, the last one before USCIS make a decision? How long can take? any help will be highly appreciated... We have 2 years difference (33 me / 35 him), we met here in Spain, while he was teaching English, we lived together for 6 months before he returned to USA... pretty normal couple in my opinion.

 

The only thing i can see is that my dad is a former diplomat, I had diplomatic passport growing up, and we travelled a lot, but I would not say that should be a delay...

 

I dont know, this is so frustrating!!!!

 

How nice of him to laugh and say your petition could potentially sit there for 2 years  Fingers crossed that they are just waiting for that last bit of info and then you can be approved this week. I would suspect that the background check is the last part after they have decided your good to go but who knows this is USCIS after all

Sorry we are not checking VJ much, makes it a bit harder, i'm happy for everyones approvals, is just 147 days is way too much. And see others approved makes me a bit sad. Looks like never will be our moment

I'm at 124 days today & like both of you I'm just sat here like  I had a little cry to myself last night when i asked my fiance 'so is our letter there today' with a big smile on my face & I got the usual response. I had a really good gut feeling yesterday that it was going to be our day but nope. At this point I feel like we are never going to get this letter, which is ridiculous because I know we are. 

I wish they would update the dates they are currently working on to at least Feb 15th so that you guys waiting over 140 days could put a request in for an update!

Informed delivery showed it's on the mail truck for delivery today. The way letter was folded, i was able to make out  "The above petition has been approved". All i needed to see pretty much.

 

For those of you still waiting, hang in there, i am sure yours is on the way as well. Good luck everyone.
