Can you please tell us what exactly did you include in your ROE?

    I provided

    - A letter detailing our situation and explaining why we didn't have certain documents

    - Bank statements from the beginning of our marriage to current date

    - Our daughters official birth certificate

    - Affidavit from my father in law who we live with

    - Cricket phone bill ( it did not list our names only phone number and I explained that)

    - health insurance documents from 2018  - 2019 listing me on policy

    - tenant agreement for our house that we are leasing (I originally included this but I think there was confusion on what it was to begin with)

And that's it. Honestly not a lot but I went into a lot of detail in my letter of why I don't have certain documents and why we don't have some joint things.

Sorry To Hear . Since you don’t have a driver license, you can also get a state identification card which has your martial name and address -which will show proof of living together. Also the house deed with both you guys name on it if you didn’t send it already. ( send it again if you have too) . Photos at the birth of your child/ birthday party ( if you have any) .

I was looking into this but it's taking around 4-6 weeks to be issued an ID so I'm not sure if I should bother or not and just go ahead with the documents I have. I'm pretty sure I sent the deed, I definitely know I sent the closing documents of our home etc. I also did include pictures of us at the hospital and they said 'it didn't prove anything' 🙄

Cant send what you don't have. Send a letter explaining situation.

I sent almost nothing but with letters of explanation, joint bank statements and car titles, affidavits etc.

No RFE but did get interview ready to be scheduled. So I don't believe I'm getting an RFE unless I get it in interview.

How long have you been waiting for an interview to be scheduled?

I'm just going to gather what I can and also write a letter of explanation and hope it's enough. I would send it all tomorrow if I could but I'm waiting on my daughter's official birth certificate to arrive which will be 20 - 25 business days as they didn't accept the birth certificate given at the hospital.

    Missabc,

It might be that your evidence did not cover the time from when you married until you applied.  I cannot tell from your letter.

Why were the bank statements only from February 2020?  If that is when you opened the joint account, I understand, but if your account existed prior to that, the bank statements should have been from the initiation of the account (or when you were added).  You have a house.  Did you guys pay cash, or is there a mortgage with both of your names on it?

Since you are renting out the house, are the documents proving that you both live together from your house, or from his Dad's house?  It could be that USCIS is very confused about your living situation.  Did you explain any of this in your cover letter?

You need to reply to the RFE with the explanation you have given us above.  Talk about where you lived from the time you got married, and show the rental agreements (if that is what you did).  Talk about when you bought the house, and if you lived there.  Talk about when you put the house up for rent, and why, and show where you moved.  Give them a time line that shows your housing movements.

Get his Dad to write an affidavit explaining that you live with him, when you came to live with him, and why.  If you help his Dad with any expenses, then he should say that, too.

I think your main issue is that you haven't given USCIS a good picture of your story from the time you got married to the time you applied.  Many people miss this point.  You have given them SOME documents, but it doesn't tell the story over the whole time frame.

You will be ok.  You just need to cover the time from your immigration to the present day.

    Good luck!

I definitely agree with you, I don't think I made it clear enough of our situation. The bank statements were an error on my side. I would have sent the whole period since marriage but I didn't notice there was a second page when printing the statements of online so I printed only what I saw, after checking again last night I seen the additional statements so I've download all statements going back to January 2018. I have the 2 apartment leases since I moved here right up until we bought our house in June 2019 that I can include with an affidavit from my father in law confirming our living situation/relationship etc. I am also going to write a cover letter explaining all of this too and hope that's good enough!

Edit: Oh and our daughter's long birth certificate.

  5.

I need advice. I just received a RFE for my I-751 and they need more proof for a bonafide marriage.

My problem is we have never had joint utilities EVER. Any and all bills have been in my husband's name because the companies we were with wouldn't allow more than one person to be on the account. When we bought our house last year we just transferred the address for all of our utilities. I don't drive so I don't have a driving licence/insurance, we have no health insurance not since October 2019, we don't have a will or life insurance. Our home we bought we've been renting out since June to avoid foreclosure and have since been living with my husbands dad. They said the birth certificate wasn't valid that I sent for our daughter (the one we were gave at the hospital). Money has been so tight that we weren't able to apply for her birth certificate online (I've just now ordered it to send as evidence). Also,i haven't worked since I moved here. When I received my green card I found out I was pregnant 2 months later, my daughter has just turned 1 and I'm a stay at home mum, so I have never dealt with the finances or had any policies taken out by me. All I can send is bank statements from 2018 when we got married to now. Our daughters official birth certificate. Affidavits from our family. Apartment leases from before we bought the house (which we've provided before). Also a letter explaining the above and why we don't have joint utilities etc.

    I provided in the initial pack;

Hospital Birth certificate for our daughter

Discharge instructions for me from the hospital

Vet Bill's (were only in my name but listed our current address)

Joint Bank Statements from Feb 2020 to current

Closing documents for our house and insurance

Lease agreement for our tenants with us listed as landlords

    Photo's

it's not a lot but it's all we had and im so scared that providing the little additional evidence we have isn't going to be enough. I can't be seperated from my daughter or husband, it's making me sick to my stomach.

  6. I also received and RFE today. I'm beyond stressed because I too sent all I could.

I'm so stressed, my ultimate fear is being seperated from my family and having to go back to England. I feel sick to my stomach that what I have isn't enough.

  7. So this is very last minute but a family member has offered to pay for me, my husband and daughter to fly to the UK to visit my family (I haven't been home since I moved here 3 years ago).

My daughter doesn't have a passport yet and my hopes were to apply for her UK & US passport just to avoid visas etc with her.

Has anyone applied for a passport recently as I'd like to know what kind of waiting time I'm looking at and if it's even possible for us to do this at Christmas?

  8. Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light for me on this subject.

My husband and I have hit hard times rather suddenly and we have a 4 month old daughter. My husband is working however he is currently only on commission only and is still learning on the job so his pay is not even scratching the surface of our outgoings, this is the only job that has responded to him as of yet. We are on the verge of losing our house and are behind on practically all of our bills and to top it off my husbands truck (the only vehicle we have) was just totalled on Monday. I'm honestly at a point where I'm like ok if we lose the house we lose the house it's just a 'thing' we will be back on our feet again soon hopefully but I've been told about WIC and CHIP regarding our daughter as she is our main priority. We don't have any health insurance for any of us and she is behind on her shots and checkups. I'm currently breastfeeding but my diet as you can imagine isn't great and she will be going on solids soon so WIC and CHIPS seem to be able to help with both of them problems. My concern is that I'm not eligible to apply for these because I'm a green card holder and I don't want to be 'a cost to the government' & I'm due to remove my conditions in August and I don't want jeopardize that.

Has anybody been through a similar situation and can advise me on this? I'm desperate

Ours were almost the exact same experience. He also asked me the petitioner for the names of my spouses parents. The officer said that everything looks good but he will pass it on for review and we should expect the card within 30 days.

I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't ask if we were approved. I mean she was laughing throughout the interview and even as she walked us out she said how funny me and my husband were. So I took all this as a good sign.  No update as of yet so maybe tomorrow

Edit: just clicked of the internet and went into the app and my case has changed to case has been approved. I assume it changes to card being produced after that?

  10. My interview is finally over and done with!!!

Our interview was at 11.45 and we got there for around 11.30. We signed in and waited around 20 minutes for our number to be called. A nice lady greeted us and walks us around to the interview room asked us how we were etc. In the office we were sworn in. She confirmed the information on our forms such as my name my husbands name, DOB, address etc. Then she went through the generic questions like have you committed murder etc. Then she asked how did we get to this point (relationship, marriage, moving) so we told her our story and she laughed and smiled as we told her and she thought it was funny that we met whilst playing GTA on the Xbox 😂. Then she asked my husband where he works if he still works there, she asked who attended our wedding and how my parents felt about the marriage. That was it! After that she just asked for anything we wanted to add to our file so I handed over a bunch of documents and then she asked if we had any questions to which my husband asked about what i need to bring with me to travel (I already knew the answer to this but he didn't) she said just your passport and greencard. At that point she stood up and smiled and said okay that's every thing and my husband laughed and jokingly said wait aren't we going to be separated and questioned and she laughed and said no that takes to damn long 😂

So from that I'm assuming I've been approved but just waiting for my case to update. All in all it was a really nice experience and felt just like a conversation 😁
