Meine Green Card wurse nach fast 8 Monaten ohne Interview letzten Freitag genehmigt. Yay!
Jetzt muss das Ding nurnoch heile hier ankommen  .
 
Ich war auch vor etwa 3 Wochen beim Deutschen Konsulat in NYC um meinen neuen Namen "anzumelden" um einen neuen Pass beantragen zu koennen. Gesagt wurden mir 8-10 Wochen. Mal sehen wie lange es wirklich dauern wird.

My dress is altered, the new shoes fit, then we got me white chucks for after the ceremony ( wouldn't be ME without chucks), picked up the rings today, applied for the marriage license... so we just need to pack. Flying out on Monday! It will be fun! My dad in law has hired us a humvee limousine for Vegas! Haha 

I'm from Germany, which is not really seen as high fraud country either, but I DID get asked about how he proposed when I had my interview. Actually she was very curious about that.
I think it may depend on the interviewer, but since "THE proposal" is such a big thing here (why else would guys even take loans for a ring), that I wouldn't see it too unimportant. 

OP, just let him ask THE question, be engaged officially, go for a court wedding (or Vegas??  ) for your wedding. Have it official. And throw a big party for all people whenever you can afford it. 
Then you got everything straight for immigration and don't have to worry about things being not really right (whatever that means).

I can see the light at the end of the packing and decluttering tunnel, but still there's so much to do - and still hard to believe that I am actually moving
 

The people to blame are the many Moroccans who have come before them and lied in order to get visas, not the administration. As much as I hate Trump, he isn't the one to blame here.

Traveling within the USA is no problem. Just don't leave the country until you've received your AP. 

8 days to POE  Time drags by when it is on the final seconds of the clock   I'm keeping busy with many activities, including picking up an extra shift just to make time go by faster.  I work the next 5 days, then have 2 days off that I'm going back to the Keys on a team with my church to repair Irma storm damage.  I went to the Keys right after returning from the Philippines, the need is so big, we'll be going a lot.  After 2 days in the Keys, I work one day then that night Ann is POE so I pick her up at the airport!
This all totals 8 days away  
 
Not all that we help are human.  Here is an endangered Key Deer - they live only on Big Pine Key cuz that's the only Key with fresh water. Well, Irma drenched the Key in Saltwater so these guys are thirsty. Guy on our team stopped the truck, got out with a water bottle and this wild animal drank from his water bottle.  All we had next was Gatoraid........ He wasn't THAT thirsty and turned and left!

Now you got me wondering, haha!
My outfit is new, I am old, nothing blue so far, and I might need to borrow something haha

But I'll carry a special item with me. My dad has died when I was 3,5 years old, and all I have left from him is his hospital diary, which is locked away since I can't stand seeing it, a couple of pics together when I was little, and his dog tags from German army back in the day. 
So I'll carry the tags with me when we get married, for emotional reasons, since my mom said he'd have been so happy and proud!

If you marry within the 90 days of entry on a K-1, then there's no added paperwork or costs (unless the medical expires before you file). There is the risk of being caught for being in the country illegally after the 90 days but before you file.
 
If you marry after the 90 days, then you have to go through the same AOS process as any other spouse of a USC within the US, which means concurrently filing an I-130 and I-485, which has added costs.
 
Yes, it should be. However, as you noted, it's just crazy risky as anything could happen on that day (or by the people who record it using the next business day or something stupid...).

Another sign of life from Virginia to those who still know me!

I'm here now for almost a month, still no regrets, still not homesick (surprisingly, because normally I'm a wuss), and wanted to know how everyone is??
I hope by now all our fellow whiners have at least received their NOA2???

Anyways, we have set our wedding date for next week now.... it's going to be a wonderful trip with more than 10 people of his family, living in the SLC area. We're gonna be convoying to Las Vegas, have 2 nights to stay and have fun - and of course to get married.
