Late but still: 
Our pcs to AK was in December 2019 and I'm the green card holder. We've been driving as well (the last leg from Haines, where we got off the ferry) and needed the orders (of course), green card and DoD ID. They did look at my passport but didn't stamp it or anything.
My husband had his passport card, mil ID and orders.

We did not have any issues!

It's a while until then but have a safe trip up here!

I've sent my package on 07/31, the received date according to the status check is 08/06 and the money was already taken from the credit card.

Wir haben letzte Woche endlich unsere NVC Case Nummer bekommen und ich bin jetzt dabei mich auf das medical vorzubereiten. 

Auf der Homepage des Arztes gibt es ja das Info-pdf, hierzu hätte ich jedoch noch ein paar Fragen auf die ich bisher leider noch keine Antwort gefunden habe. 

 

1. 4 identical passport size photos which are less than 3 month old

-> Müssen die Fotos den US-Passbild Vorgaben unterliegen oder reichen hier "normale" Passbilder?

 

2. Documents from the U.S. Consulate with Case Number if available

-> Für das medical reicht die NVC-Nummer oder? Unsere Unterlagen liegen noch beim NVC und ich gehe davon aus, dass sie nächste Woche nach FRA geschickt werden. 

    Würde aber gerne am Donnerstag zum medical gehen. 

 

Die Fragen bzgl. der medical history habt ihr ja schon beantwortet 😉 

 

Außerdem würde ich gerne wissen, ob jemand weiß wie lange die Wartezeiten für den Interviewtermin in Frankfurt sind. 

Gibt es da einen ungefähren Zeitraum nach dem man sich richten kann?

Also ich hab damals fürs Medical auch US Bilder genommen. Kostet ja auch nicht wirklich viel mehr. 

Fuers Medical reicht, wenn du die NVC Nummer hast. Ich hab die Nummer damals Dienstag Abend am Telefon bekommen und stand Mittwoch früh in Frankfurt zum Walkin auf der Matte.

Wartezeit war nicht so lange damals, ich glaub ich hab nen Termin 1,5 Wochen spaeter bekommen, hab aber auch den ersten verfügbaren gerafft! Das kommt aber immer drauf an, das kann jeden Tag anders aussehen!

He will have to pay around 270 Euro when he's in the clinic for the medical, and after about 2 weeks (at least for me) the bill for the labs was in the snail mail. That's about 120 Euro. So all in all its almost 400 Euro for the medical.

For your second question: Sorry, no clue. I don't remember how I did that last year. But I'm sure someone else here has an answer.

Ich hab die Impfungen für meine Altersklasse machen lassen, die bei der Praxis in Frankfurt angegeben sind.

...und da steht auch "required".

Hatte das damals ausgedruckt und meinem Hausarzt gezeigt. Kein Problem mit den Impfungen gehabt.

I had POE in Boston last year, and had a 3,5 hour layover like I always tried to have, even as ESTA flyer.
If you're unlucky and they have a bunch of jumbo jets landing at your time....
Although the lines were short when I came through, waiting to be brought to secondary and then waiting there was long. They even came in to ask if that was my suitcase, sitting there ungrabbed forever.

Rather hang out at the AirPort and drink coffee to beat 2 hours or so than having to worry about missing the connection.

Was habt ihr denn ursprünglich mitgeschickt?
Wir hatten fuer die K1 petition damals 2 DIN A4 Blätter mit je 4 Bildern drauf ausgedruckt, sowie meine Bordkarten und Passstempel von 2 Besuchsreisen. Das war genug!

Wir hatten Glueck und sind ganz schnell durchs K1 gerutscht. Ein paar Wochen nachdem wir gefiled haben, hat sich die Wartezeit auf NOA2 quasi verdoppelt.

Ich hab mir von meinem Mann damals das I-134, den aktuellsten Tax return, sein LES (military... zivil brauchst einen Brief vom Arbeitgeber und Pay stubs), eine Kopie von NOA2 und - vorsorglich - einen neuen Letter Of Intent schicken lassen. Den LOI haben wir aber nicht gebraucht.

The interview was today. And he was approved! Sort of.....

 

We had an interpreter there, the massive “proof of relationship” paperwork, the interviewer asked four questions of my husband “have you ever been in deportation proceedings? Have you ever committed a crime? Where are you working? How should your name read on the green card?” (The interpreter didn’t have to speak....my husband answered in English) The IO didn’t want any of the paperwork I had brought.

 

The IO told us we are approved BUT.....

USCIS didn’t send the field office the file with the K1 and medical so IO would need to request it (and as long as everything is good.....no criminal record) we would be approved......

 

back to waiting 🤪

Congratulations! That sounds good!
I bet its just a matter of a few days! If everything is ok on your end... no worries. They wouldn't tell you he's approved!

 

It's sent via USPS Priority Mail.
So if you got informed delivery look under parcels. It doesn't show up under letters.

All you need to submit is your marriage certificate.
We added like 6 photos of our wedding (just 3 per page, printed on paper).

That's it.

Start mingling your finances and all other things now. They will ask you for it at your interview.
I had mine 2 weeks ago and they kept copies of all things we brought. 

But for now: You're fine, don't worry.

Nicht viel, ehrlich gesagt. Die Lady hat - waehrend er die Unterlagen durchging - gefragt, wie lange wir uns schon kennen, wann und wo wir geheiratet haben. Das wars eigentlich! 
Die hat dann gelacht, weil mein Mann das Hochzeitsdatum recht langsam gesagt hat, und ich mir das grinsen nicht verkneifen konnte. Meinte dann "Ha, there you got him, huh?" und ich nur: He CAN'T forget Keith Urbans birthday lol 

(War keine Absicht. Hab ich Fangirl im Nachhinein bemerkt hehe)

Aber mein Onlinestatus ist immer noch auf "Interview scheduled". Haette ich nicht den Brief mit "Congratulations, you are approved" mitbekommen, wuerd ich jetzt sowas von die Krise haben!

Ne, kann nicht klagen. Die waren sehr nett da! Ich hab mich keine Sekunde unwohl oder "schuldig" gefühlt. 

Die Stunde Interview war ruckzuck vorbei. Die Stunde warten davor war kacka. Madame hatte Hunger, haha!

Bin sehr erleichtert! Der Status online hat sich noch nicht geaendert, steht noch auf "Interview was scheduled", aber wir haben von den Officers einen Brief mitbekommen, in dem steht dass wir approved sind!

Aber ihr seid schon immer bei CEAC bei Immigrant Visa geblieben um den Status zu checken? Wenn ich nämlich non-immigrant wähle und dort diese AA Nummer vom DS160 eingebe erscheint nur: No status and last updated an dem Tag an dem ich das DS160 abgeschickt habe.

 

Ja, du checkst weiter unter Nonimmigrant, und dann steht da irgendwann "Issued".
