  1. Hello!

I'm still waiting for my green card interview and the Seattle office is slow. I submitted the AOS at beginning of Sept 2017, received my EAD in Dec 2017.

I submitted the EAD renewal and the receiving date is Aug 09th... but there is no update.

I had a trip planned to go to my home country, flying on Dec 31st, the date is getting closer and I'm afraid the combo card is not going to arrive in time.

I called USCIS and of course I did not get any useful information. I was wondering if making an infopass appointment will help but everytime I try there is no slots open.

At this point, do I have any option to travel? Will it be better just to cancel the trip?

    Thank you everyone!

Hey hun, i'm here wondering the same thing about the EAD, been doing dozens of interview with also the same questions. I'm starting to believe that it does matter whether its an EAD you have or green card.

    Hello!

I got my EAD in Jan, and I just signed a contract with a really good company. YAY! One more week of relax and back to real life :P

In my case, I used a quote I saw somewhere here in VJ, I told the recruiter I'm legally allowed to work in the US and I will not need sponsor now neither in the future.

Maybe was just luck or the company itself, but it worked for me!

  3. Hello!

I have received a job offer! I did not even look for jobs yet, they found me in LinkedIn, called me and send me a job offer by mail. My work experience and education is in high demand in the US at the moment.

I called USCIS to request a expedite.

In the online tracker I see the following:

They told me in the phone, when I talked to Tier 2, that I will receive an email asking for the proofs. I have not received anything.

Does this means they have deny my expedite?? Or should I still wait for them to request proofs of my job offer? How long?

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season :)

I sent all the forms in a couple months ago. I got a letter today from USCIS "Request For Initial Evidence (I-485)."
It says they want an English translation with the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than English, you must submit a copy of the foreign document and an English document.

Hubby was born in Toronto & I was certain I enclosed a copy of his birth certificate with the I-485 but I may be wrong.  Is that what they are asking for? Do I just need to send a copy of his birth certificate in to them? His birth certificate is in English and French.

Thanks in advance & again I hope I put this in the correct thread.

@TriloByte might help you here. USCIS requested them a translation from English to English :/

    Good luck!
