    The felling that it's over plus green card aproved must be wonderful, hope we all get there with you guys! How long did you have to wait since your canceled interview?,  which state?

     

    Our office is in Oakland Park, FL. Original interview was set for 4/20/20 but due to COVID it was rescheduled to 9/24, 5 months.

    Hey guys,

     

    Interview was this morning the 24th at 9 AM and it went great. My wife and I were called in at 9:21 and walked out by 9:45. 

     

    - He swore us in and asked me a few questions like name, address and if I've been previously married.

     

    - Then he asked my wife the same questions plus several from the list like if she's been arrested or if she's part of a terrorist organization etc. 

     

    - He asked if there was any more evidence we wanted to provide so we gave him our recent bank statements, updated insurance card and photos from the last year or so, about 25 total. 

     

    - While he was looking at the pictures he asked me how we met and who went to our wedding.

     

    - After looking at everything he asked how far along my wife was (she's 37 weeks so it was very obvious) and congratulated us on our first baby. 

     

    - Finally he said that he has up to 120 days or something to make a decision but that he never takes that long and that we should get a letter fairly soon. 

     

    Sure enough at 4:30 PM today we got our status updated to "New Card Being Produced"!!!!

     

    We're so glad this is over with, at least until her citizenship process starts. Hope it goes well for everyone still waiting! see you in a few years.IMG_1922.thumb.jpg.fce6632330eecfa34de59b97117f4d17.jpg

    Congrats as well!! Wow, the interview is the week you’re due 😬. Hopefully your baby comes after the interview!

    My wife got her SS card on 4/10 and I filed my tax return that same day online so both our socials are there. As per TurboTax it was accepted/received by the IRS but it has not been approved yet. 
     

    Since payments have already started going out will they go based on our 2018 tax return where we’d only get $1,200 this year? 
     

    I don’t get a refund so they don’t have our bank info.

    my EAD is on the mail, I got my approval letter today. I selected the option to get my SSN issued to me. Will I still get it? Are the Social security offices also doing “back office” jobs Like USCIS? I understand I cannot get a job without it.

I called social security about a week ago and they couldn’t even find me in the system so I thought it wasn’t going to come. But then, just this morning, I check USPS informed delivery and it seems the SSN card is arriving today. So it seems the back office is still working

    I guess this is not going to be an issue anymore. EAD status changed last night to “new card being processed” and then this morning to “case approved”. Seems backwards to me but I’ll take it lol

    Congrats to everyone who’s gotten their EAD and/or interview!! 
     

    Finally some progress for us as well after an RFE in Sept. We got the notification that the interview is ready to be scheduled. No EAD yet but that’s fine as my wife is a SAHM and she’s pregnant so we’re not going to be traveling anytime soon. (Well, maybe just another small road trip to Disney for the gender reveal in a couple months lol)
     

    We’re in Fort Lauderdale so not really expecting to get scheduled soon but who knows, we might get lucky.

    Hi everyone,

     

    Congrats to all those who have interviews scheduled!!!

     

    I just wanted to provide an update on our case. We got an RFIE on Sept 13 for my wife’s birth certificate and I thought they just lost it because we sent in two copies.
     

    Apparently the BC we have is good for everything except the US green card process. In Honduras there’s another document called ‘Copia del Folio del Libro de Nacimiento’ that is only needed if you’re applying for US permanent residency hence my wife had no idea what this was nor did her family. I was finally able to find where and how to get this but it took longer than expected. I just sent it off to NBC with the translation. 
     

    Now we continue to wait. Good luck everyone!

    We filed Form G-1145 with our EAD/AOS/AP application, so we got text messages upon receipt by USCIS of our application. Now we await the biometrics appointment letter, I don't know if we'll continue to get text notifications or not.

    Our bio appointment just came in the mail, we didn’t get a text notification. We only got text notifications for NOA1
