  1. Just received email from USCIS about case being updated. Upon checking, it's still "being processed". However, the JSON file has had a new line added "FTA0" I'm assuming this is the updated (April 27 rule) background check has processed.
  2. I think the system does that automatically, I had the same update on my 5 year anniversary date too but heard nothing since.
  3. They updated their background checks to include a new FBI check, everyone who's pending is having it ran on them, no matter what stage of the process you are at.
  4. I mean if the police managed to turn up to the car before she got back to it she must have been gone quite a while and more than I would consider "briefly", maybe there's more to it so I would suggest it's explained better to USCIS. Going by just what you have stated here even if it's reduced to misdemeanor I don't think they will look on this favorably at all.
  5. Thanks for the write up! I see you were asked the updated number of civics test questions, did you also bring anything extra regarding good moral character / have a clean record ? Was there any extra focus on that aspect at all that you noticed ?
  6. Congrats ! What made your interview so tough?
  7. anyone had any updates ? interviews scheduled ?
  8. There is a general slow down on n400s right now compared with 6-12 months ago where people were getting approved very fast a lot within 6 months. It seems it's 8-12 months again for most of us from application - ceremony.
  9. Filed online last week, 90 days early under the 5 year rule, hoping for a quick painless journey!
  10. Hi I'm just starting to hop back into this immigration process hopefully for the final time so any help would be welcome. Brief timeline - I was a k1 visa entry, married and had i485 interview for conditional green card, then divorced about 12 months later. Filed i751 as divorce waiver, approved without interview. So I'm going to apply for naturalization by the 5 year rule, no criminal records or tickets, what would I need to provide as evidence or documentation outside of tax records? Thank you for any help!
  11. If you were married and living together for 3 years + you should be fine for being eligible for 751 with divorce waiver.
  12. Mine arrived about a week after this notification, you might see some more updates over the next few days from USCIS
  13. I sent one statement for every 3 months for bank accounts and bills etc I mentioned in my cover letter to USCIS I have every month statement if they wish to see but didn't want to overwhelm them with excess amounts of evidence. I was approved with no RFE, no interview.
  14. But also note, we were married over 2 years at time of divorce and I had a good amount of bonafide evidence and I can't imagine there would be other red flags to my case that I can think of. There could be other reasons her lawyer is guiding her the way they are. No two divorces are gonna be the same in USCIS eyes, but yeah it's possible for it to go smoothly as I'm evidence of.
  15. Not really, fell into same timeline as other non divorce filers and didn't get asked for any RFE or another interview (had one at 485 stage when still married)
  16. Update, got approved with a divorce waiver today! So glad this part of the journey is finally over!
  17. For those still waiting, it appears they're completing those filed late November 2022
  18. It doesn't mean too much, they did this to a bunch of us a few months ago and we're still waiting.
  19. What's the first 3 letters of your receipt number?
  20. Potomac has just started processing and finalizing October 2022 751s
  21. They're hitting late August- start of September now, so we're getting there!
  22. Might this be a possible downside of "skipping" completing the 751 process before a naturalization interview? At least the 10 year GC would be a fallback option if a mistake was made?
  23. Hopefully it means it's part of the next batch of applications to be reviewed
