Just thoguht of sharing that my OCI process took a month at Chicago consulate and Monday I am receiving it. 
Applied on SEP 9th. The whole process was smooth, online application and  uploads etc. 
So chicago is taking around 30 days to process and deliver OCI cards.
Fedex shows Monday delivery.

After USPS lost my Passport, i had to wait for 15 days and send DS-86 'Non receipt of US passport form with Drivers License front and back copy to Passport agency that processed my Passport.  
SEP 30- USPS lost my passport by delivering it to wrong zipcode
OCT 12TH - After waiting for two weeks and no show, I sent DS-86
OCT 22 - Passport Agency received my DS 86 and updated my passport from shipepd to 'in process'
OCT 23 - they expediated and shipped my second passport.
OCT29th - That is today i received my US PASSPORT. 
 
 
PHEW. This process is over and renunciation and OCI card for india process has to begin.
 
I should have started it already if its not for the screw up of USPS.  
Anyways good news is My both my Naturalization Certificate and My passport are with me.

Yes that is unfortunate, they need to be more accountable and responsible! I read about your harrowing experience with missing passport but I am glad that the issue is finally resolved.

2020 has been a hard year! You do not need to worry. Just be patient with your case at the NVC. Good luck my friend.

One person on the Supreme Court bench cannot change law overnight just because of their personal views. There’s a reason there are 9 justices on the bench. There are full legal processes that must be followed. 

Sorry to hear. Please note, if you do not receive your naturalization certificate, the Dept of State will pay for a replacement. You would need to call in and ask for the address. You then send a letter into them asking for your replacement fees refunded and they will send you a check.

If its any consolation, the envelope carrying the NC isn't scanned for informed delivery, mine wasn't. The envelope is too large.

I received my renunciation and now in process of submitting my OCI. CKGS wants me to send my original US passport with the application! I thought it is only needed when OCI arrives from delhi and to verify the passport #

Alright guys! Got the email saying my passport is approved and Shipped! via priority mail today. Should be getting by 10/3 Yaayyyy!! 

Do note that your original document (US Passport ) is not sent to India. You should get it back in a week or so after you send in your OCI application.  I initiated my OCI in July and got the OCI within 4 weeks. 

i had same issue.. i have to go for Diwali but not sure if i can make it.. i am applying for reninuciation and OCI.. another BS not  to look forward for. . I wish India could just start E-visa again. 

I got e mail this morning my Passport was approved and shipped. Processed at Dallas passport Agency. Applied on August 10th. They started to process on August 20th. Exactly 4 weeks.

My passport is shipped today! thank you everyone. this was my last tracking.. no  more tracking anything.. lol.. 

Hi there, what people share here not even 1% of what their actual situation. That's all I want to say. 

I applyed on August 31st waited my application to hit in Process on 09/02. Called 877 number to ask for aplication number and where is it my passport beeing processed. 
They I went on sentaros web site fill it up the forms and tell him that I have a trip in Sept and I need it faster. 
And next day  Sentaro office they contact me saying to fill it uo agaib form signed and today they told me my passport is shipped.

Call 877 number ask for aplication number and where is it and then go to your state senator web site and ask senator to help you.

So you contacted you home state senator or passport agency state senator? Mine passport status is now showing as in progress. Dont have any confirmation number or anything.

Yesterday finished oath ceremony, received naturalization certificate and also voter registration application but i decided to register online, so today i registered to vote online. Just want to make sure that there was no waiting time or anything to register to vote online, right? I mean i know it will take some time for them to update online records, but i am good to register today , right?
All those warning wordings in the end of registration, freak me out. haha. Thanks
