    Congrats!!!

I'm really kicking myself now for completely forgetting to include the e-notification forms. I guess we may just have to see what shows up in the mail? Though that’s sorta fun, like waiting for university acceptance letters all over again!

    The e-notification form g1145

is just for the receipt notice noa1.

if you want to get notifications by email or text you’ll have to sign up for an account either on the new or old case status websites and choose to be notified electronically if there are any changes

That makes sense, I appreciate your response! I know I am probably over-stressing, but can't help it. Probably it will be like that for the next year or so. Do You any recommendation on how we address the separate finances? It is honestly was merely just personal reference to avoid money arguments, and I am not sure how much details should I give the IO, you know?

I wrote short and to the point statements. If they need more info from you they will send you a rfe letter or call you for interview. Don’t worry too much.

thanks p-ana, it is good to hear from someone that went specifically to the RDJ consulte. I still am not sure if I should claim self-employed or employed, given that I have both paystubs but own the company. I personally think it is very weird to say you are self-employed and show pay stubs... 2 layers recommended that I claim I am self employed tho, hence all this insecurity I've been spilling all over this thread.

As to that I can’t and won’t comment. I’m not familiar with US taxes.

  4. The i134 says “as appropriate” after listing the documents you can give to support the income you’re claiming

i already responded in another thread recently, the rdj consulate won’t care for the letter if you have recent paystubs and your income is higher than the poverty guidelines. I did not hand any employment letter and here I am roc approved. I think I gave two printouts of two random months of a few transactions from checking account though

The letter in Portuguese says “proof of current employment” - it could be a signed contract, for example.

    Hey everyone,

My fiancee's physical i-129f arrived at the consulate in Rio de Janeiro and she'll be going on her interview September 17th.

I'm getting some documents ready to mail to her to bring to the interview. One of these documents is the i-134.

I've got my IRS tax transcript printed and ready to send with the filled out i-134. I've read on some websites that DOS will need other letters too, including a letter from an employer stating my job position, my salary, whether it's permanent, etc. as well as letters from banks stating when I opened the account, how much I deposited in the past year, how much I have in it now, etc.

Do I really need more than just my tax transcript?

    Thanks!

Tax transcripts, w2 and recent paychecks (6months) should do the trick for rdj.

include bank statements if your income is too close to the poverty guidelines

Sooo.... I have no idea what the status of ours is. The old website does not recognize the number (starting with WACXXXXX) and the new one still displays Case Was Received. However, I did get a request for reuse in march then a redo of Bios just like everyone else in July this year. This is VERY frustrating.

Any ideas other than open a status request with USCIS?

You’re still within processing times so right now there’s nothing more to do than wait, unfortunately

Thank You! I was curious, would it be okay to only send one affidavit? I read on instruction minimum of two. The only person I am comfortable asking, US Citizen, and really knowledgeable of our relationship is my sister's brother as we close with him. I am just concerned they would RFE requesting another person's affidavit or something like that

I haven’t sent any affidavits. Had also a complicated living situation and was worried sick. I included explanations like Sukie suggested and was just approved with no rfe and no interview

  8. The ead that can be applied before applying for aos costs about $700 and it will only be valid until her i94 expires.  And it most likely won’t be granted before that so it will be a waste of time and money.

if you apply for ead with aos the ead won’t cost you anything.

Save up, borrow or use the credit card and hurry up to file for aos - it’s no fun for the foreigner to be without a status and not being able to do stuff

Do you guys regularly see discrepancies between the old site and being logged into MyUSCIS? The old site says we were approved, and the immigration officer on the call confirmed on Friday that our card was ordered for processing, but just adding the info into MyUSCIS shows our fingerprints still being reviewed. I'm assuming we just stick to what the immigration officer said over the phone?

We're so anxious with this upcoming flight and praying that it gets here soon.

I got my card and the new site still says fingerprint review complete

2 lawyers recommend that I claim I am self employed and show tax return from last year, w2 and pay checks. I think it is a little weird to say I am self employed but show paychecks, isn't it? I am really confused by this, I am sorry if I sound contradicting, it is because the information I am showing feels contradicting to me and I am not seeing a way out of it.

I am not a lawyer and I’m not familiar enough with US taxes to give advice

what I do know, specifically talking about the rdj consulate, the employer letter is not needed if your tax returns and paychecks show enough income for your household size

Baconbait, how did you get the n400 interview so quick? They told me husband to apply for citiEnship at his biometrics and gave him the study guide to...but we weren’t sure how to get n400 with his ROC case....his never transferred from CSC.... we’re in Oklahoma

You can apply at anytime if you are eligible (continuous residence, resident for at 3 years and married to a usc for at least 3 years). If your roc is pending, they can’t approve the n400 but it can be worked on together, that’s what’s been happening

  12. Just got my card!

07/09/2018: ROC packet sent with USPS 2-day priority shipping

07/11/2018: ROC packet delivered to the Vermont Service Center

    01/08/2019: Address change online

08/13/2019: Card is being produced (old site)

08/15/2019: Card was mailed to me (old site)

Are these RFE's after sending in the I-129F packet or at another step?

I see "request for additional financial info" but I thought no financial information had to be sent with I-129F. Am I wrong there? I think I have to send in an I-864 and I-864A at some point but I'm super unclear as to when or where I start sending financial documentation such as these forms.

"birth certificate not both sides" -- My birth certificate doesn't have 2 sides. One side is blank. What do I do?

"USC passport not all pages" -- Didn't this change? I read somewhere that it's just the pages with stamps now. Is that right?

"beneficiary's birth certificate not translated" -- WHEN do you send in their birth certificate? It's not listed for the I-129F.

g-325A -- is this form still needed with the i-129F or do you file it later?

"problems with letters of intent" -- What kind of problems? Is it too long, too short? Does it need to be notarized or can it just be signed?

I'm about to send in my I-129F packet but I don't want any issues. I am living overseas in the beneficiary's country so it'd be harder for me to send in missing documents quickly.

I also have a question about i864 /i864a. Where and when do you file i864/i864a?  I read that you send i864 to NVC but not i864a but when I called NVC they said if you send it to them they just send it back to you. Do you send it with your i129F packet? I don't make enough so I need i864a. I read that i864 has a fee of 120 dollars to file with the DOS but it's free to file abroad. Is that true? Honestly any information on i864/i864a would be helpful.

I suggest you read around other threads that talk about your concerns. The OP to this thread was a very nice member who tried making things better for others by curating all rfe posts by other members and they will most likely not come back here to answer all your detailed questions.

vj has a search feature that works great

From the master RFE list, it appears that most recent entry is from 2016.  Is there a more up to date RFE list somewhere else on the site?  I just received notice that I will be getting an RFE in the mail.  I'm trying to prepare.

What happened here was that a VERY nice member decided to go through the previous rfe thread post by post to make this list, they did the best they could with the info other members relied on this website, if it’s not as clear as you hope it was because members were not clear enough and there was not more info available.

It’s been 4 years so things may not apply anymore.

If you want to get updated info you can go through all of this thread again because other people added their own posts or you can do a search around vj.
