The affidavit of support is needed at the interview, so it should be dated close to it.

The wife was probably trying to withdraw herself from the joint filling of the i751, so it would be his alone and that would trigger a rfe for divorce waiver and possibly an interview.
it will most likely make them call you for an interview. I’d expect this to come up and would make sure to have lots of evidence of a good faith marriage to overcome this, besides a very good explanation
good luck and be sure to come back and report your experience

So it’s safe to say I did get approved. Received letter in the mail (the address change worked) with approval.
The old site updated twice already and today it said the card was picked up by usps and the expected delivery is for Monday.
After exactly 13 months I’m glad roc is over.
good luck to everyone still waiting.

I saw this post which makes me think that may not be necessary
I'll try to get the appointment in time if possible. Happen to know how I can schedule one? Thanks for the help!
You need to call and ask.

Thanks for the reply @p-ana
With the unrestircted SSN, can I apply for a job located in U.S via online jobpost (i.e LinkedIn) and then apply for the working visa in case of getting accepted?
You can apply for jobs as much as you want but they usually ask you f you’re authorized to work, which you are not
please research work visas. You don’t apply for them, it’s the company hiring you that will do that

I followed your aos and was wondering what you were up to with roc and n400!
My roc was just approved this week and I’m wondering if i should apply for the n400 now.
thanks for the update and congrats!!

I had my interview today and was told that my Petitioner does not make sufficient income to be my sponsor even when the Petitioner exceeds the 125% guidelines by over 10k. We do not have any dependants so it's quite confusing
They go by the totality of the circumstances. Best to find a sponsor

You can not enter the country with a tourist visa when your intention is not to visit.
you can not work unless you have authorization to do it, having only ssn doesn’t grant you authorization.
research work visas.

I'm at the interview stage. Gathering the rest of my documents and waiting for my fiancé(sponsor) to send me the affidavit of support form, so I can schedule the interview. I don't know if anyone was ever denied a visa because of affidavit of support (not meeting the required income)?
You won’t be straight out denied but they will ask for a sponsor. It can be a LPR or USC that meets the income requirements. So best to work on that not to delay your case further.
for the k1 it’s not binding for the sponsor but for aos it is so it’s better to discuss in length with them. It’s not just a piece of paper and they will be financially liable for you for a long time.
good luck

A doc at a word processing program was all I needed. Used it through the k1, aos and roc all approved, no rfe.

Hi guys!
I am currently waiting for my visa interview for Permanent Residency (K1 Visa). Is it ok if I work from home here in Texas? which is obviously a US Company. I passed all the exams, however they want to set up an interview via skype, I am just wondering if it is legal. Any advise will be of great help. Thank you
Do you have authorization to work? If yes, go ahead and start working. If not, wait/ file for it before starting.

Leaving my overall experience in this thread for future reference
Medical: I did my medical in Brasilia (I live here). It was very easy, the doctor's secretary was very helpful and friendly, the blood tests and x-ray are all done in the same building. I was able to use my health insurance for all exams, which was cool (less money to spend). The doctor is also very nice, explained everything to me, gave me the "vaccination record" we are supposed to bring at POE. Overall, good doctor place to go, if you live around Brasilia area
Interview: CR-1 Interview, easy, quick, they didn't ask me many questions (when and how we met, how many times we saw each other). Embassy was very busy, but everything was organized, expect waiting for few hours. Appointment was at 8:20, arrived that 7:30-ish, left 9:30-ish
Visa Delivery: I paid for the premium delivery thing, it arrived 3-4 BUSINESS days after they shipped it (from Rio to Brasilia!), so if you live in a city where there is a CASV to pick it up, I wouldn't recommend it. Not as fast as I expected, for the price I paid.
The vaccination records (ds3025) is NOT to be handed to the officer at poe. It’s yours to keep, it’s great as history for when you go to the doctors here.

@p-ana it depends which service center your file is.
Nebraska seems to be fast and lots of September filers like myself got theirs done already
Not applicable for July 2018 filers, since we could only file at vsc and csc.
Best to go with a realistic estimate, as per the extension letter.
If you guys want to get peoples hopes up, be my guest.

What you said doesn’t make sense. You probably received the receipt notice, saying your case was received and will be processed.
biometrics letter will follow after, with an address, date and time to appear. Around a month or so after filing.
there will be no notice saying your Biometrics were approved.

Please anyone can help me out..! We already filled i75 how long process will takes?
Around 18 months. Maybe less or more. It’s hard to predict

There are too many variables. Officers work in different paces, they take time off, there are holidays, expedites, new priorities.... all you can do is wait, read and be knowledgeable of the process, plan for the future.

Congrats to all those who got approved!
VSC filer here from July 2018 with biometrics August 2018. Still waiting. Will USCIS ask for new fingerprints after August 2019?
Same boat and I don’t think they will ask for biometrics again.

An employer letter is not even needed if your tax returns, w2 and paychecks show you’re above the poverty guidelines.
