  1. Generally, a Green Card holder cannot receive SS benefits after 6 continual months outside the US. **Moving this to the Off Topic forum as this is not an immigration matter***
  2. The State Department runs background checks. In a normal (non-DCF) process, both USCIS and the State Department always run background checks. This is normal. Hopefully, "issued" will be the status soon.
  3. It's $235 now. You click "Next", then "continue". It will lead you through the payment process.
  4. You do not need an FBI check. USCIS and the State Department do their own background checks. Visa Journey is the best source for immigration info....not group chats. Challenge them to provide an official written requirement. This is the pre-interview checklist for the Philippines consulate: U.S. Embassy Manila, Philippines - MNL (state.gov)
  5. The new fee schedule as of April 1 discontinued the free I-765 and free I-131 when filing with an I-485. There are fees for both now. G-1055, Fee Schedule (uscis.gov) Looks like your household size is 5.
  6. **Moved to the Philippines regional forum***
  7. 1. No. He must take the oath of citizenship before he can petition a parent. 2. No, They are separate cases. His brother would take 20+ years.
  8. I have watched these guys for a year or so. They have some great techniques to get the best price on cars.

  13. Your attorney might be able to use that letter to get a favorable divorce decree. No financial obligations would be a good thing.
  14. ***Hijack question split to new topic***
  15. ***Split from existing thread***
  16. It is Embassy/Consulate dependent..... NVC does not receive phone calls.
  17. You need to file an I-751 package ASAP. You need to include a GOOD explanation for the late submittal. Your N-400 cannot proceed until an I-751 has been approved. It will take several weeks to receive the I-751 receipt. You could be looking at 2 years before the I-751 is processed. I would also be prepared for the N-400 to be denied. Good luck.
  18. Then, you just have to be patient. It is normal. Consulates normally have to request K-1 cases when they have availability.
  19. CBP officers have a LOT of discretion...a LOT.
  20. Do you have a source for that official policy? There are plenty of people who successfully visit with a pending I-129f. I agree that overcoming the "assumed intent" to stay in the US might be more difficult, but there are a lot of people who tell CBP who they are visiting. Like you said, showing a reason to return is the key.
