After exactly one year my husbands card is on its way! It was a complete surprise. Our Status never changed from we completed our review of fingerprints on 2/9/19. No alerts or changes on either website which I even checked last night. Got a tracking number from informed delivery today that I didn’t recognize. Looked it up and saw it was from the processing center. Couldn’t login today to see anything. Called the number and got a message that I-751 approved 12/6/19 card mailed on 12/16/19. Vermont service center. No interview. Such a relief.

Me too! I got 4 letters from uscis today. 2 extensions. (I already received one weeks ago) This time it said fee received  instead of waived. One was an original and one a copy. Then a new bio apt to replace the one they sent last week that had already passed, and then a receipt for payment saying no biometrics needed at this time!! I think they have lost their minds over there!!

Notice date is 1/04/2019. Post mark on envelope is 1/11/19.  Service center is VSC. Appointment scheduled 2 counties away even though there is a service center a few blocks from my home.  Online says neither are accepting walkins.

Yes the appointment had passed.  We sent app out 12/16, received NOA in the mail 12/24.  Receipt number only says case received.  I didn't make any additional requests and wasn't expecting anything yet.  But the biometrics letter was in the mail when I got home from work this evening.

We were asked for the original visa and original/subsequent passports that expired as well as current passport. Updated editions of all documents we submitted as proof of marriage like bills.

The child's mother can come and file for custody. It is her right. And it will not cost her thousands in legal fees. You can file for custody, child support or visitation in family court with or without a lawyer regardless of immigration status. If you can not afford a lawyer one will be appointed to you again regardless of legal status. However, you are worrying about someone who may not ever immigrate, and will probably take years to immigrate if she ever does. So focus on providing a wonderful life for the little man for now and if/when she does file the judge will grant custody to the parent who represents the child's best interests. Which would be a stable loving home, where he is happy, safe and well cared for. They will not grant her custody just because she wants it.

3rd DWI in a short time frame should be a HUGE RED FLAG! This persons legal problems will be your legal problems once you marry them. The legal obligations, jail time, financial drain, probation, loss of driving privileges, ignition interlock...not to mention the impact emotionally of spending your life with someone who whether they realize it or not has an addiction. I am not judging anyone...only sending out a warning from someone who see's how much of an impact DWI convictions have on families on a daily basis. I am a probation officer who supervises repeat DWI offenders. It does not get easier...

It will not affect your K1 visa, but it will affect your life because your fiance is an alcoholic.

Regardless of who came, why they came, or whether their visit will speed things up...I'm sure finding you both home together and leading what appears to be a normal family life will help your case more than if they were just trying to guess or assume. So congratulations and best wishes for a happy and health pregnancy!

Not to burst your bubble...but as a PO who handles interstate transfers daily I just want to warn you that very few interstate transfers are approved. Like 1/20ish. Interstate compacts are a federal set of rules that must be met and exclude most parolees or probationers. Only very specific cases are eligible. And most misdemeanors unless they involve a violent crime or sex offense are not. You must be moving because your job was transferred, or your family (Specifically immediate family and not a boyfriend or fiance) live there and have been there for six months or more. You need a financial sponsor, a job lined up and an agency willing to accept you. And you must have a certain amount of time left on your sentence. You should really look deeply into whether her transfer will actually be approved before you send off anything. because in the end even if she has the nicest, most cooperative PO the ICAOS could still reject it.
