Again, it was just for your well being.  The process, for a simple case, is doable without an attorney, but to not know what the form is used, made it seem as though you were less informed than you actually are, which made me concerned that you might run into problems, which no one wants.

Fees and forms should always be taken right from USCIS as they are the most accurate and up to date.

Please read the guides, and use the USCIS website.  If you’re confused or unsure of the processes, you should look into an attorney.  No one here minds assisting, but you seem very unaware, and that could be to your detriment.

The fee is $680. The form is i751.

    1.  You (Green card Holder) are the petitioner for the I-751.

The Conditional Resident is the petitioner.

Please refer to the guides for examples of documents, or the instructions on the form.

Documents you will need to include are:
    - Copy (front and back) of conditional green card
    - Evidence of Financial co-mingling (taxes filed together, shared banking accounts, shared credit cards, shared loan agreements, etc.)
    - Other items of co-mingling (health insurance, car insurance, car titles, wills, power of attorneys, etc)
    - Proof of shared domicile (copy of lease, copy of deed, copies of driver licenses)

**anything that is a joint responsibility between you and your spouse, which bears both names**

Things you can also include: (lesser probative value)
    -  proof of travel together
    -  pictures
    -  affidavits from friends or family

No, I spoke to a person on Live Chat from USCIS and they said there was a backlog for extension letters. I ended up going down to the USCIS office in Boston and asking to see someone about it. They gave me a stamp in my passport that they said would act as a temporary visa (I-551) until May 3rd, by which time I should have received my letter. For now, I'm good I think. They said I'm fine to work as normal.

It looks like my husbands extension letter is arriving today. Better late than never right? I'm assuming that's what it is because I can see through the envelope window it says page 1 of 2, and plus he already did his biometrics. (Acceptance was Jan 15, and I had submitted 2 e-requests for the letter without a response). Fingers crossed 🤞🤞 so be patient everyone yours will come too....eventually

We received our rejected packet on 2/25/19 and we resent it the same day. It arrived on 12/26/19 and on 3/1/19 I received a text with the case number (SRCxxx). Check was cashed today (3/4/19) and we have a piece of mail coming to us (per Informed Delivery) from USCIS which is 2 pages and has a date of 3/1/19. Could this be the NOA1??

I can't wait to check my mail after work
Also hubby changed his name and we requested the change in our cover letter and filled out the application with his new name and it looks like USCIS went ahead and changed it

H-M reacted to mindthegap in I-864 Withdrawal Letter Sent, Pending I-751 and Divorce
Your original post said she wanted to withdraw the I-864 - which as we all pointed out, she can't do. Unfortunately, what she has done is withdraw her joint-ness from the jointly filed I-751, which she can do. She also is probably under the mistaken belief that she is now released from the I-864, which is not the case.

This is similar enough to my past circumstances to recommend what you should do.

File a new I-751 with a divorce waiver immediately. Like, get it sent by fedex tomorrow morning.
By doing that, you will get a new receipt number, and new extension letter, and a new biometrics appointment. You are then free to travel, have proof of status, get a stamp etc.
All previous evidence sent will still be in your file, so will be referenced with the new one, so you do not need to include all the evidence again. Just get it in ASAP, and if you haven't filed for divorce, then do so immediately, as it cannot be approved without that and sooner or later they will RFE you for a final divorce decree.

If you DON'T file a new 751 pretty quickly, you will get an NTA at some point - this may be quickly or may take years, but it will happen. By filing a new 751 quick enough now, you will avoid this happening. Note that even if you do get an NTA, you can still file a 751 at a later date (at any point really) but by filing it up front you are avoiding extra unnecessary steps and hassle.

It is permitted - as it is a joint filing, as I know only too well.
There lie the dangers of keeping an un co-operative or malicious spouse on a joint 751 petition instead of switching to a divorce waiver.

Not necessary with a solo filing.

In my opinion, she should be fine with her 10yr GC.
She can also consider signing up for Global Entry. Having this is a more convenient & hassle-free experience at immigration when coming back and TSA Precheck is also included with it.

It is possible that the lockbox employee may have made a mistake in rejecting your package. You would need to send the package again. But before sending it again I would recommend contacting the Lockbox Support at LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov and try to clarify the reason your package was rejected. Here is more information on contacting them:
