the I-751 form must be filed within the 90 days just preceding the expiration date on your permanent residence card.
^^^ This is the very first sentence in the ROC guide of "when to file" http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide
It would have been much easier to click 2 buttons and read one sentence than to start a new topic, type your question, and then read all the responses......or not.

That may be true, however, the listed interviewing embassy/consulate in the member's timeline is "Armenia." Hence the request for the clarification.
The imputing of accurate information in VJ member's timelines makes the VJ stats more relevant and accurate.

I-94 is the official one, that's when you were granted entry, not when you landed. It's a good one though!

slimbolina reacted to A'n'L in K1 London to AOS - medical confusion
As long as you had your K1 medical exam within the last year, and completed all your vaccines - the only thing you should submit is a copy of the ds3025 (vaccination form) from that examination. You do not need a new medical unless your old has expired or USCIS specifically asks for one.

slimbolina reacted to Pitaya in USCIS reviewing I-751
Due to the volume of applications and applications that USCIS receives, It is likely that after they receive your I-751 package, some minions take it apart, and prescreen it for obvious errors, i.e. not signed, incorrect check amount, etc, They then may cash the check, send out the I-797 Receipt letter, format your paperwork into their file format, put it in a large file box, and cart it off to a government warehouse that likely resembles the warehouse scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. Later on (who knows the length of time), the file box containing your paperwork may be retrieved by some minions from the "Raiders" warehouse, taken to the adjudicators' area, and then your file may be assigned to an adjudicator, or adjudicators for initial processing.
Ah, the great timing of a huge bureaucracy as it slowly grinds away... The previous story may be fiction, but may be sadly close to the truth.
    YMMV,
Good luck on your immigration journey.

Maybe, maybe not, it is tough to try to second guess USCIS.

slimbolina reacted to KayDeeCee in Issues after 90 days on K-1 visa?
There is no time limit/deadline in which to file for AOS. As long as you married within 90 days then you are eligible to file based on your approved I-129F petition and fulling the requirements of the K-1 visa. However, you will be out of status and begin to accrue unlawful presence between your I-94 expiring and filing for AOS. Once you file for AOS, you then enter a period of authorized stay while waiting for your green card approval.
Not sure how it will change in the next few weeks.
If changing name through marriage, then you can begin using the new married name as soon as you are married. If changing name through marriage, then you will use the new married name on all the AOS forms. No need to wait. The marriage certificate is your legal name change document and a copy of it is included with the I-485. List maiden name where it asks on any of the forms for Name on I-94/Other Names Used.

slimbolina reacted to Kastrs in Recieved a 221G, but for an unusual reason...wanted to see if anyone has experience with this particular situation
Personally, I would have just gotten the CR1 visa instead of waiting 6 more months before making your PoE. I have never seen or heard of anyone else in this scenario, but I would guess based upon what you were told that once he submits his passport and new medical, the visa will be processed in whatever time is standard for your embassy.

Gym have to start the process, Commonly a good Immigration lawyer knows if there is or not a case. they will need to ask you for information and evidence that can show your special qualifications. who knows, things happens.
Recently an artistic painter that i know received his GC and an spanish teacher received her work authorization, in both cases based on sponsorship
so the first step is to define with the gym if they will move forward with this process

If you want to know what is going on with your SSN application, send an e-mail to SSA:

Be sure to say you have K-1 status and include your phone number. If you have the application reference number, send that too.

You added up to the drama. You said your gf but you said she is your fiance. which is which? That made the officer believe that she could be coming here under the visitor visa to get married. If that was an actual interview at an embassy, your gf would have been denied visa.
You lied to the officer but he is the a**hole.

It helps people when they are trying to help you if you fill in your time line, that way they know what process you're using and where in that process you are

NO that is also not correct, your visa is typically valid for 6 months after your medical-if it is granted for example 3 months after you complete your medical then your visa would be valid for 3 months
If you wanted to push things to the limit, you have the remaining time on your visa validity, assuming you enter the US on the last possible day, plus 90 days, assuming you get married on the 90th day here

Doh! You will need to obtain your police record here: https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
This will provide all details that the police hold (if any) on you. You need this for your medical and your interview.
