I was approved and I did not have an engagement party, not even with family members. I was asked why and I said we decided to save the money and travel, and that's what my wife and I did. Went on 2 honeymoon trips instead of one.

Here's the deal, it is not in any party's interest that the USCIS are in deficit.
This is what I think USCIS should do:
Increase the fees for the N400 so they will not be losing money, and give the option of premium processing for a very short time (2-4 months guaranteed) for $2000.
This way USCIS will not lose money for processing application of the ones who can't pay the premium fee, and will be making good profit from the ones who does have the money.

Happy Anniversary

Just like this very day, and in these hours of the year 2015, I was up in the air en route from Germany and about to land in USA for the first time. Tomorrow marks my 5th year anniversary in the US. A lot happened in these 5 years but I am grateful for everything, good and bad. Life is a gift so we must appreciate it. Good luck everyone!
