I suspect that the person who may have interviewed him, gives everyone a hard time I try to let everyone know this is very tough Embassy! They really don't wanna approve anyone from her evidence and everything that they have done he should have been approved, it's easy to denie a k1 at this Emabssy that is why I suggest marriage then reapply for the marriage visa I have been to this Emabssy twice and I only saw two consulars who were approving visa's

Missadams1963 reacted to Girl from Celebes in K1 visa denial at the us consulate in lagos(221g)
Visited only at once for 5 days is not enough. Many people here visited their fiancées more than at once and still got denied.
Find a good attorney if your fiancée wants to file a K-1 visa again. Otherwise she's just going to waste of her money.

Best bet would be for her to move to you.

Missadams1963 reacted to Tonald in K1 visa denial at the us consulate in lagos(221g)
I will advice you to let the case returned to uscis and see the next move, but the best thing is to let ur fiancee take a trip to u and wed in ur country and later file spousal visa............ with concrete evidence to back the spousal visa like ur fiancee should take more trips to u as many times as she can after the wedding

Missadams1963 reacted to AverysMom in K1 visa denial at the us consulate in lagos(221g)
You were a bit naive to not think this would be an issue. You know your situation but to an outsider, like the CO, I have to agree that it looks as if you left your "baby mama" once you found a USC. Unfortunately once it's denied nothing can be done, they will let the case expire. You could try and get married and file again but be aware this will still be an issue.

Missadams1963 reacted to NigeriaorBust in K1 visa denial at the us consulate in lagos(221g)
Because of so much fraud in Lagos they are sharp to pick up on things that indicate you have something fishy. You were obviously intimate with someone just before your US fiancé visited. Did she only visit once ? I can see where they would natural for them to assume that the baby's momma is your real love interest and you are just trying to get to the US through the woman that petitioned for you. You will have a big battle to show that this isn't your true intent. Has your fiancé visited for an extensive time ?

If I were the CO, I would think the same thing. I would assumed you left a friend of yours who got pregnant by you because you met your American fiancée. And Nigeria is well known on VJ as one of high fraud countries for U.S. visas.

Missadams1963 reacted to Jawaree in Can I get a lawyer
An atty cannot make a relationship bonafide, OP has
to address whatever else is needed or if there is a
red-flag fix it, get married and be re-petitioned

Missadams1963 reacted to MrsBonsu in 2nd interview
My husband has had three interviews in ghana we are in AP status! So I suggest you have more than enough proof for bona fide marriage! Ghana embassy is very funny acting!

Missadams1963 reacted to patnjac in Please anyone 221g??
Has anyone ever been issued 221g requiring you to bring in more info and then when you do you get put back into AP?
Honestly they asked for more emails cause apparently 65 pages worth over six years was not enough and cards from regular post. With postmarked envelopes!

Missadams1963 reacted to MissSarah in Administrative processing for K-1
No not really, but from what I've read it is normal, there's probably a few things they need to do, some people have AP for one day, some people have more.

Hello everybody,
I had my interview at the US Embassy London today and was approved. Would just like to take the time to write a huge thank you to this whole community especially those who took the time to answer any queries that myself or my Fianceé may have asked.
Will write a full review at some point tonight!
Many thanks

Missadams1963 reacted to usmsbow in Post NOA2- NVC Stage
1. I would wait about 10 working days before calling them. You can call them whenever you'd like, but if you call them early, you will just be wasting your time.
2. You need your receipt number from USCIS (which is on both the NOA1 and NOA2 and starts with SRC for TSC applicants).
3. Yes, you get a new case number, which allows you to check the status on the CEAC website.

Missadams1963 reacted to e&z in Post NOA2- NVC Stage
Yeah, after the huge delays at TSC etc I had set myself up for a long, long wait at the NVC stage too but we were pleasantly surprised! We called mid day and hit 'redial' about 3 times, got put through and then just sat on hold.

Missadams1963 reacted to mcuzin1985 in I-134 is hard....
If you get married the minute you get into the states, and file for AOS shortly after, you can start working approx 3 months from the day of arrival. 6 months is way off. Also 30K is plenty for the average american family depending on where you live.

Missadams1963 reacted to IcezMan_IcezLady in WE THANK GOD THAT OUR VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD FOR THE TEXAS CENTER!!!!!!!
Maxzim, your timeline shows you received your NOA2 in about a month, do you think folks with ours in TSC dont deceive to get ours in a month also?
-
Missadams1963 reacted to wbeem in WE THANK GOD THAT OUR VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD FOR THE TEXAS CENTER!!!!!!!
Apparently, this has been in the works for a while. I was reading the transcripts from Leon Rodriguez's confirmation hearings and it referenced plans to improve the backlog at TSC by summer. Of course, their idea of improvement was to get back to 5 months processing time. One of the senators suggested that 1-2 months is more reasonable, but that idea didn't seem to gain any traction in the transcript.
I'd vote for a politician who could make this a 1-2 month process, though.
