  1. Did you mean Re-entry Permit? Even though it also uses the I131 form, it is different than AP. Never mind, after reading the posts on the next page it was clear you meant AP. In our case we never dealt with AP as AOS was only taking about 5 months.
  2. Sounds like a bit of a racket going on. Question, are these Democrats or Republican led areas?
  3. What is interesting is the internal news agency reported on the mishap. Not really sure why KJU allowed that to happen, but I am sure heads will be rolling. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/north-korea-detains-4-officials-over-the-failed-launch-of-a-naval-destroyer/ar-AA1Fthb3?ocid=BingNewsVerp
  4. I assume you are not looking for an exemption so choose 1.f and your spouse will need to submit an I864. Good Luck!
  5. Not sure about legally, but yes, the child should be listed as it says to list any stepchildren. Good Luck!
  6. I think what is meant is that "deport" generally means an action by a government agency to remove someone from the US that is not a USC, or an LPR with good standing. For instance, there was a lot of news recently of an illegal alien mother being deported and choosing to take her minor children with her so who were born in the US. The MSM was reporting that USCs were being deported which was in fact not the case, it was the mother's choice to take them with her. In this case, it is more of a mother deciding not to fall for the recent fad of gender identity that appears to be promoted in US schools, and taking control of her daughter's education and life, which parents should do when the person is still a minor, and help make sure her daughter does not make some form of irreversible action to herself based on peer pressure and other online forces. I do wonder if the mother would face any legal issues (from the school, or other left leaning state organization). If this were Canada, maybe.
  7. Since she just meets the requirement, you may want to have a joint sponsor in mind.
  8. Sorry for the issues you are facing. Traveling with an expired GC and the extension letter for a few weeks will be just fine, and nothing to worry about. My wife traveled multiple times this way and had no issues as it is fairly common. No need for any other documentation assuming the name on your GC and foreign passport match, if they don't, take along a copy of your marriage certificate just in case. It doesn't matter which POE you use, Dublin, or somewhere stateside, and there is no difference if your spouse is with you or not. Good Luck!
  9. That should be the extension letter unless things have changed recently. Are you certain there is no wording about extending the validity of the GC by 48 months? Good Luck!
  10. The last paragraph in the story is kind of telling. Does he still have a valid DL when his LPR status expired and a deportation order was decided by an IJ? Also, the family, even dealing with a personal issue, remembered to keep filing taxes, but didn’t worry about his LPR status? In a GoFundMe campaign organized on behalf of the Eriksen family, Kasper is described a devoted father and husband, a proud landowner in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license and social security number, who has always paid his taxes.
  11. You can make the update when you fill out the DS260, and have your interview. Good Luck!
  12. Yes, based on what you described as the actions of you ex, I definitely would consult with an excellent lawyer, and take them with you to any interviews. Good Luck!
  13. Those monkeys love to be organized. Makes for more efficient poo flinging.
  14. I do love the biased reporting. “Endless forms”? Heck if he had filed the I751 properly, he could have naturalized as early as 2016/2017. “Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence,” was just one of the endless documents he needed on his decade-plus journey to American citizenship.
  15. Seems like it might be able to be cleared up most likely with legal help, and a proper filing of the I751. I say legal help as supposedly he was required to file that form in 2015. He certainly cannot naturalize if an ROC is required, and most likely he was ordered deported by an IJ in abstentia. Sounds very similar to this story, although this was about filing an i485. The question is what should a USCIS IO do when they find a situation like this assuming an IJ has ruled?
  16. Does it seem to be from the proper source? There is a little bit of grammar issues with the message, so it could be phishing. I would try emailing the consulate with the pertinent case reference information to see if this is real, and if you are sure, go and see. As to a file review, I suspect they are talking about the file the consulate has regarding the beneficiary. Good Luck!
  17. If nothing shows up here (CBP Travel History) using your A Number from the GC or the number from your Canadian passport, you can try an FOIA request with CBP. Good Luck! https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/search/history-search https://www.cbp.gov/site-policy-notices/foia
  18. Always wondered about the Iowa 80 Truck Stop. We have never stopped there, thought about it once, but there was a backup on the exit ramp so drove on. Is it a tourist trap like Wall Drug, or is it pretty good? As to road trips, yes, we tend to prepare ahead of time. Full tank the night before, and a good breakfast before setting out, and the aforementioned meals/snacks in the car (we have an plugin cooler we position strategically). Our longest trip together was from Cody, WY to SE MI. We tried to take an extended break at rest areas in Southern WI, and also SW MI (just inside the state line), but the most we could get was 20 minutes before we gave up and kept driving. I bring along a good sleep mask so I can catch a few zzz’s when my wife is driving, and that usually works.
  19. I don’t think there was a specific thread, but rather a story posted in some of the master threads.
  20. I thought all the issues related to domestic terrorism were from the extreme right?
  21. There is not a biometrics specific appointment for a K1, but there may be fingerprints and photos taken at the interview (it has been a long time sine my wife went through this process). As to taking a copy of the package to the interview, this is not required, but it is a good idea just in case a CO asks for it. Good Luck!
  22. What have you provided as to an actual physical address for your move to the U.S.? I would focus on a domicile lease or mortgage agreement even if it is a temporary stay with a relative (have them draw up a simple lease agreement). Good Luck!
