  1. And in the case of a spousal visa, the LPR status begins upon entry in the U.S. with a valid spousal visa (CR1/IR1). If a foreign spouse is issued a CR1 after the interview because the marriage is less than two years old, but enters the U.S. with that visa after the second wedding anniversary, they will get a 10 yr GC.
  2. Shouldn’t except possibly more scrutiny by CBP.
  3. You need to reread the third paragraph. Yes, she received this letter because the great big bureaucracy built by the establishment doesn’t know its right hand from its left. This letter only applies to those that have not obtained legal status through other means i.e. CAA.
  4. I don't really know for certain, but the fact that your foreign passport shows similar naming, I doubt it.
  5. I would put your middle name in the other names used section based on your story. You can discuss it with the IO when you have your interview if there area any questions, and you will have the chance to update the N400 at that time and change it to a name change application if needed. Good Luck!
  6. Not to worry, all will be powered by the sun and wind.
  7. A little more on this rising Democrat star. Maybe they were following the lead of the Lincoln Project.
  8. In that case you need to submit the expedite request to NVC (see below). I agree, the consulate appears to think you are asking for DCF which is not the case, but since they have not received your case yet, they really cannot respond to your request. Once NVC sends your case to the consulate, you need to send another expedite request to them. Good Luck! To request an expedite, please submit a scanned letter (or statement) to NVCExpedite@state.gov from a physician (or medical facility). The letter must include the physician’s (or medical facility’s) contact information and declare a life-or-death medical emergency exists.
  9. When you say expedited, are you attempting DCF?
  10. In quite a few cases they do not need to look for excuses. There is a reason all those Yes/No questions are asked on immigration forms. I could argue that it is the left wing MSM that promoting fear due to their opposition to anything Trump (could be classified as a chronic case of TDS). People that are law abiding (holding hostages like Khalil and his group did are not law abiding), are fine regardless of the fear being stoked by the elite establishment types and their media allies.
  11. Since we are all sort of guessing here, the fact that you sent this information unsolicited to the consulate prior to the interview may have resulted in the early 221G. I agree with @jan22, this appears to be the consulate letting you know of the importance of bringing relationship evidence to the interview, and the CO will review it at that time. Good Luck!
  12. Totally up to you. As to the issues that may come along with changing ones family name after marriage, they are in no way insurmountable. My wife choose to take my family name, GC, EAD, and US passport in her new name, Russian passport in her maiden name, wasn't a big deal and my wife traveled at least two a year back to Russia.
  13. We just renewed, no interview required. Back when we first applied, we went to the Blue Water Bridge for the interview. To get to the CBP office we got to go through a secret entrance reminiscent of Maxwell Smart.
  14. Apply for Global Entry which requires an in person interview with CBP. It might help you understand what the issue is.
  15. Driving an EV right now for a week, yep, very quick acceleration, but at least the one I have does have some quirks. I need to find a touch screen icon to open the glove box, the seat adjustment controls are on the door, and almost impossible to see. I also drove a Tesla about 6 months ago, and really do not like their putting everything on their touchscreen.
  16. Probably best to put this here. There is a problem the former congressional staffer's logic. If most members in congress are happy with keeping these zombie programs alive, then re-authorize them, don't pass the buck. Might of the Living Feds: 1,500+ Cash-Sucking 'Zombies' The Legal Services Corp. now stands as America’s oldest “Zombie” program, but it’s far from unique. At a time when the Trump administration is moving aggressively to scale back government, including eliminating the entire Education Department, it’s sobering to note that 1,503 agencies or programs live on despite expired authorizations, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Another 155 will expire on Sept. 30. The Zombies, nearly half of which have been officially dead for more than a decade, persist in a budgetary netherworld. In a deep dive last year, CBO analysts were able to find dollar amounts for 491 of the programs, with total expenditures of $516 billion. They don’t know how much funding the other programs received. The total federal budget in 2024 was $6.8 trillion, meaning expired Zombie programs take up at least 8% of the budget, and likely much more. “A lot of programs don’t get reauthorized because Congress is okay with how they’re operating,” said Josh Huder, former congressional staffer now at the Georgetown University Government Affairs Institute. “They continue to get annual appropriations because most members think they’re worthwhile.” https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2025/03/25/might_of_the_living_feds_1099569.html?mc_cid=c88c296ade&mc_eid=0622ebfa37
  17. Another way that the Dems/Left are using to defund/shut-down police? German police ‘forced to abort missions’ as their electric cars ‘drain too fast’ German police officers have become unhappy about the electric police cars forced on them by the government. Ralf Kusterer, deputy leader of German Police Trade Union (Deutsche Polizeigewerkschaft, DPolG), told tabloid Bild on March 20 the new cars’ batteries empty much too fast to use efficiently as per by law enforcers’ needs. According to the union leader, some police missions had to be aborted as the cars lost power even when charged overnight at the police station. https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/03/german-police-forced-to-abort-missions-as-their-electric-cars-drain-too-fast/
  18. Costco also just announced they were getting rid of their Kirkland brand soy milk. The Daily Mail reported via headline, as is their habit, it as if this was the most popular product there, but the story read it is being discontinued due to lack of demand, and that non-Kirkland branded soy milk will be available occasionally. As to the check-out at Costco, that is the one thing I cannot complain about relative to the locations I frequent. Even around the Holidays when the self checkout line is all the way back to the deli area, I still get out in 10-15 minutes after I get in line. Also, our locations do open quite a few cashier operated lanes especially when busy.
  19. Lot's of mock naturalization interviews on YouTube. I also quizzed my wife on civic questions repeatedly/ Good Luck!
  20. A Number, a.k.a. Alien Registration Number, it is the 9 digit number found on the GC. Circling back to the move mentioned in your OP, did you move to a new USCIS district?
  21. Sounds like Costco is opening 25 or so new locations within the U.S. this year. We are lucky where we live as we have 2 within 10 miles, and another 3-4 within 25 miles. My wife and I road trip occasionally to other Costcos just to see the differences. I think some folks join mostly for fuel, although that is not very convenient if they are an hour away.
