No surprise here. Taxpayers should fund $300,000 UTERUS transplants to help transgender women get pregnant, suggests American Medical Association The American Medical Association (AMA) has suggested that taxpayers should subsidize uterus transplants worth up to $300,000 to help transgender women get pregnant. Arguments were made to reduce the cost of the surgery in its Journal of Ethics issue in June titled Patient-Centered Transgender Surgical Care. But the AMA has been criticized for floating the idea and has been accused of holding an 'activist position'. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12417181/American-Medical-Association-suggests-taxpayers-fund-300-000-UTERUS-transplants-help-transgender-women-pregnant.html

I guess there are more words off limits as determined by the Democrats/Left/Progressives. Now if it rhymes, it is the same as saying the word. Clown Al Sharpton claims Trump used racist slur by using the word “RIGGERS” when referring to the election being rigged (Video) https://www.wcbm.com/2023/08/17/clown-al-sharpton-claims-trump-used-racist-slur-by-using-the-word-riggers-when-referring-to-the-election-being-rigged-video/

Hmm, this seems to be a trend with politicians. Remember Carlos Danger? AP is fairly common while the consulate processes a visa application. The CEAC status will often toggle between AP, and Refused (this does not mean denied) before it is either finally issued or denied. I don't know if the dating thing would cause an issue. Is her significant other in the US, or in her home country?

Kind of falls here. I wonder if the elected leaders and bureaucrats that created the mandates will be held accountable. If this was Korea or Japan, I think they might do the honorable thing. Hawaiian Electric knew of wildfire threat, but focused instead on mandated shift to renewable energy The utility company concluded in 2019 that it needed to invest more in preventing its power lines from emitting sparks, among other issues. Consulting California's efforts to reduce wildfires, the company drafted a plan to install more insulated conductors, fire retardant poles and more aggressive monitoring technology. The company barely pursued those goals over the next two years, however, investing less than $250,000 on wildfire projects, according to the Journal. It did not request state permission to raise rates to pay for wildfire prevention until 2022. Instead, the company found itself focused on a state-mandated shift toward renewable energy. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/hawaiian-electric-knew-of-wildfire-threat-but-focused-instead-on-mandated-shift-to-renewable-energy/ar-AA1fpwk3

Assuming you meet the requirements for applying, I would say apply when you return to not have the worry of a snap biometrics appointment showing up. Good Luck!

Personally, I would be fine with that. I would be happy voting for DeSantis, or Ramaswamy over Old Corrupt Joe Biden. I would also vote for Trump over OCJB considering the corruption Old Joe is involved in and has been involved in for many many years. The Democrat Party and the Left have no respect for the Constitution.
-
I assume their only real option is to get Old Corrupt Joe to come out and say he is going to finish this term, but is not running in '24 which would throw it to an open primary and let that process take care of the Kamala issue. Now this would have to happen relatively soon, and who knows if Joe or Dr. First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden are on board.

Daily update on Biden tanking america

Ahh, the Amtrak story again. It is like going to a concert where you expect the performers to play all their best hits. -
I love how these folks are being portrayed as false or fake electors. There was a reason these alternate electors were put in place in these states as it was required per the Constitution. All of these states had pending election lawsuits ongoing at the the time of the electors needing to vote, and if these folks were not in place there would have been no remedy if any of the lawsuits succeeded. Of course they did not, and these electors votes were not needed. Anyway, I guess we need more political prosecutions out there. I know, slow, steady and corrupt.

I was always told the original was needed for CBP although my wife did usually show the original to the airline staff as well, but sometimes a copy. Make a couple of copies, one time my wife was asked by an airline clerk to keep it, my wife gave her a copy as you definitely should show the original to CBP to avoid needing to go to secondary inspection.

Yes, volatile organic compounds, the stuff we used to call "new care smell". All the plastics, adhesives, films, coatings, etc. (most of which comes from bad oil), emits vapors of relatively heavy organic compounds that for gasoline/ICE vehicles are regulated. Not really sure why they are ignored in EVs. Btw, VOC are a large component of smog.

HOW LOW CAN BLUE CITIES SINK? [merged threads]
Dashinka replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
So the Democrats vote for more crime, then cry to the government to help them when that crime drives away businesses? Seems like a nefarious plan, or just cluelessness. Either way, they got what they voted for. -
Sorry to hear about your father. You have to weigh what is most important for you. You should be able to overcome the current living situation for AOS, and who knows what it will be in a year or more when an interview occurs. But then you mentioned needing to go home ASAP, which may be tough with an AOS in process. You can always try for an expedited AP, but YMMV. I know it is a tough decision with risks on both sides, but you can only do what is most important for you. Good Luck!

Yes, I understand you bought your Tesla for the fun of driving. Btw, the attacks will come as more EVs are used. If you think oil is fought over too much, wait until the scarce materials needed for EVs are in big demand and there are only a few players/countries in control. I really do not understand the big environmental groups that are in fact demanding EVs for environmental reasons and how they are so against the mining needed for the EV materials. NIMBY I guess. I am fine with EVs as I said, I really don't care that they accelerate so quickly, not a selling point. I do care about economics (I know, not a huge factor for you) and I say let them stand on their own, and people can decide for themselves. Maybe when EVs make economic sense, I might buy one. Regardless, I would never park one in an attached garage of my house, but that is just from first hand experience on what they will do eventually.

See your inner environmentalist is coming out. I never understood how the horse and buggy analogy made any sense when comparing ICE to EVs. EVs are not some great leap in transportation technology as compared to ICE, in fact EVs have been around for almost the entire time we have been utilizing 4 wheel motorized transport. The only advantage is now there is new battery chemistry that improves the energy storage density, but it still does not get close to Mother Nature. Regardless, I have always been a fan of new stuff, and sure EVs are fun to drive, but they still have many limitations of which is they are still emitting a lot of CO2 and VOCs, but for some reason the EV fans don't care. Now the horse and buggy analogy would make sense if someone actually perfected the Star Trek transporter.
