  1. A lot of folks have attested to filing the I129F (K3) speeding up the process. As to anything USCIS, YMMV, but there is no downside. Good Luck!
  2. Since she lives in Kazakhstan, I assume she is looking to interview at the US consulate in Almaty. Current wait times for an interview there is about 4 weeks. All the US consulates in Russia are not processing B2 applications. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
  3. Granholm was a failed MI governor and a Canadian Leftist. It is not surprising her entitled trip was full of snafus. I agree, it was telling they did not have an Tesla's in the EV group (it was also interesting the advanced team was using ICE vehicles). As I have said time and time again, EVs are not bad vehicles, and they might be good for many folks, but they have limitations, and lack utility. Sure they may be less likely to need maintenance except of course for their massive amount of software, and their tires.
  4. Hmm, well if it was two months, they are overstays. That being said, the date under the B2 notation should be the appropriate date. I am curious why the CBP officer noted 2 months above the stamp. Did your parents only come for a 2 month stay last time? When was the last time they visited, was it only 2 months ago? The note may mean something, others may know more. Good Luck!
  5. Also suggest that your friend/co-worker start their own free account here on VJ as I expect there will be more questions, and it is always more difficult funneling those questions through a 3rd party.
  6. Thanks for the update. If you get a chance, you may want to join the thread below, or PM the OP from that thread, as they are in a similar situation and are fretting their options as well. Good Luck!
  7. Here is a timely update from a person that was in a similar situation. I understand the need to understand all the possibilities, but I think you are over thinking this. As @Mike E has posted, CBP has to let you in, and unless you have criminal offenses that they might know about, more than likely they are going to wave you through with little notice. Now you may get a CBP officer that dives deeper, and if they try and cajole you into an I407, refuse. but if you are entering with your spouse, I doubt that will happen. More than likely your encounter will be similar to the OP in the thread below. Good Luck!
  8. So is this just another Leftist/progressive play at controlling people? NM was one of the most draconian states relative to the Covid lockdowns.
  9. Some Russians after they gain citizenship let their Russian passports expire since other passports may be more valuable. Also, it is a pain to renew the Russian travel passport unless you regularly travel to Russia. Does she have a valid Russian travel passport?
  10. If you get legally married, which is required to start a spousal visa process via an I130, the K1 application is no longer applicable. So yes, the clock does reset, and you should formally withdraw the I129F. That being said, you have to weigh your own personal situation, the spousal visa is far superior than the K1. Good Luck!
  11. CBP cannot force you to sign the I407. Worst case scenario is you could be detained, but I highly doubt that will happen based on your story. I would recommend you do enter as a family.
  12. So as a reminder, here is how VW handled it. I always find it funny that these anti-carbon protesters are more than likely using cyanoacrylate based adhesives which are in fact organic and more than likely made from oil. As to VW, I would have left them with hatchets as well. https://metro.co.uk/2022/10/20/protestors-who-glued-themselves-to-volkswagens-floor-left-in-the-dark-17601987/
  13. Correct. If you move before your fiancé enters the US and CBP asks where they will be staying your fiancé can update the address with CBP. Then your fiancé should also file the AR-11 with the new address to inform USCIS (don’t rely on CBP doing that notification). Good Luck!
  14. No limitations on the movement of the USC, but your fiancé will need to update their address after they arrive.
  15. Even if the car is doing the driving, how is it avoiding the bugs? I thought Tesla used vision systems for their autopilot along with ultrasonic and radar. Some of those cameras are mounted behind the windshield, so still subject to bug splatter. My wife and I have never spent more than 15 minutes on a fuel stop. We can combine filling with her bathroom break, then I can go, and in the end we have 500+ miles of added range. One wonders if EVs were the main choice 100 years ago, would we be all agog for ICE right about now.
  16. I agree. If I need to use a restroom at a filling station and don’t need fuel, I always purchase something.
  17. We shall see. I expect Zelenskyy will start requesting manpower from the West. In the end, it should be Zelenskyy and Putin squaring off in a round of Russian Roulette.
  18. Interesting. Seems Poland is similar to China when they catch a DPRK defector.
  19. The world would be a much nicer place with fewer lawyers.
  20. I did not think the I485 allowed for uploading of evidence.
  21. This is between you and your now boyfriend. The mother may have some influence, but in the end it is your decision. I agree with the other responses. The spousal visa is the best option, but start planning for a 12-18 month wait (after the wedding). Good Luck!
  22. My wife just completed 5 flights in about 35 hrs with no issues. I am all but certain the media loves to hype these very rare issues.
  23. My wife and I often plan road trips after 10pm to avoid the inept drivers.
  24. I do the same thing, except for the beer of course, and then leave in 5-10 minutes with another 500 miles of range before I need to stop again.
