  1. What I still do not understand is how this person was accepted into the sorority in the first place. Did the girls in the local chapter have no say? If the majority of the chapter members accepted this person, then that is on them.
  2. I agree with @Mike E. Get on a plane. Good Luck!
  3. Did you try Cantwell’s or Murray’s office?
  4. Saw the term irredentist, and it reminded me of this.
  5. So this was a biohazard on a plane (referencing the Barcelona flight that turned around), does that mean people going to San Francisco need to donn biohazard suits to walk down the street?
  6. Hmm, walls and fences work? San Francisco’s New Total Wine Gets Giant Security Fence The owners of a new Total Wine & More store slated to open Thursday in San Francisco have erected a large security fence around it. The fence is roughly 7 feet high and stretches around the store's parking lot. It is still under construction and has a space where a gate will likely be installed. Security guards were on duty at the store when The Standard visited Tuesday, and an alarm system could be heard sounding off. Several encampments were set up near the new fence when The Standard visited on Monday and Tuesday. Total Wine did not respond to requests for comment on why the fence had been installed. https://sfstandard.com/2023/08/30/san-francisco-new-total-wine-giant-security-fence/
  7. Congratulations and good luck to your husband! Check the N400 instructions, there is a list of evidence to bring to the interview (should be the same as listed on the interview NOA).
  8. I know, I laughed at that one too! However, with Ukraine, I expect it is more of an exploitation play as the EU stifles its own farming practices, they will need to get food from somewhere.
  9. Hmm, more vote buying? Biden plans even bigger student loan handout, dumping the bill on you Just like Biden’s past schemes, this policy does not "forgive" debt. It transfers the burden of $559 billion in federal student loans from those who willingly took out the loans onto Americans who chose to not go to college or already sacrificed to pay off their loans. This week, my Republican colleagues and I introduced a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution of disapproval to block this unfair and irresponsible IDR policy. The resolution prevents average Americans, 87% of whom don’t have student loans, from carrying the financial burden of someone else’s student debt. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/biden-plans-even-bigger-student-loan-handout-dumping-bill-you
  10. But, but, but Bidenomics is working.
  11. I haven't been paying attention, was he caught yet?
  12. It is interesting how the Left defines "insurrection". January 6th = "insurrection", Chuck Schumer imploring his Leftist mob to attack the Supreme Court Justices = "Free Speech".
  13. Yes, the Neocons in the CIA need their bogeyman don't they. Heck, the CIA cannot get rid of the DPRK, what makes you think they will get rid of Russia without getting the Chinese on their side?
  14. Not really sure Venezuela Is the best comparison. As already stated, the CIA/US does not have the best track record in long term political manipulations. I already posted an article showing that Russian oil, and other Russian natural resources are still being purchased by the West, and I am sure China has stolen enough Western technology to offset anything lost by the companies in the West toeing the Biden line.
  15. The one constant is change. Who is to say the borders drawn in the 1990's were the best.
  16. Ifs and Buts, and young people get killed. I suppose that is fine for the neocons here in America. I never said there was nothing set in stone that NATO could not expand, but leaving NATO in place after the fall of the USSR was clearly a belligerent act by the West. The US/West has severely mishandled just about everything they touched since WWII, but what else is new considering the state of the government here in the US, and that of Europe. Whatever, it is all politics, so what if we have to sacrifice the hoi polloi so some powerful politicians and their neocon allies get theirs. Btw, was the EU planning on lowering its corruption standards to allow Ukraine to join, or were they just floating the idea so the EU could exploit Ukraine?
  17. RIP Beverly Hills: Video shows high-end retail stores now shuttered amid LA crime wave https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/rip-beverly-hills-video-shows-high-end-retail-stores-now-shuttered-amid-la-crime-wave/ar-AA1giqJY
  18. Very sad, but as the author stated, this is the current state of these journals.
  19. Seems appropriate here since the current leader of the Democrats is a petulant baby. Slow, steady, corrupt and petulant… Biden rages that staff treats him like a child, new book claims: ‘Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?’ WASHINGTON – Despite his status as the nation’s oldest president in history, Joe Biden feels he is “babied” by his staff, setting off the 80-year-old’s Irish temper, according to a new book peeling back the inner workings of the White House. The gaffe-prone president’s staff regularly scrambles to mop up the messes Biden makes with off-script comments, but the efforts are not always appreciated, according to Franklin Foer’s “The Last Politician,” which went on sale Tuesday. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/biden-rages-that-staff-treats-him-like-a-child-new-book-claims-was-john-kennedy-ever-babied-like-that/ar-AA1gimfV
  20. It is not just the greenies that do not consider consequences. The Democrats/Left have no clue as to the potential consequences from their policies. If these folks were engineers, they would all be fired for not deep diving a DFMEA.
  21. As others have said, your only options are to try for a new F1 visa, or look for study opportunities elsewhere. To my knowledge there is no appeal when CBP finds a person trying to enter on a non-immigrant visa inadmissible. It is not clear if you were deported or allowed to withdraw your entry request. If deported a bar may be in place which may further limit your options in the near term.
  22. Seems typical for today’s highly politicized scientific world. I Left Out the Full Truth to Get My Climate Change Paper Published The paper I just published—“Climate warming increases extreme daily wildfire growth risk in California”—focuses exclusively on how climate change has affected extreme wildfire behavior. I knew not to try to quantify key aspects other than climate change in my research because it would dilute the story that prestigious journals like Nature and its rival, Science, want to tell. This matters because it is critically important for scientists to be published in high-profile journals; in many ways, they are the gatekeepers for career success in academia. And the editors of these journals have made it abundantly clear, both by what they publish and what they reject, that they want climate papers that support certain preapproved narratives—even when those narratives come at the expense of broader knowledge for society. https://www.thefp.com/p/i-overhyped-climate-change-to-get-published
  23. SB553. Skimmed it a bit, seems more geared at companies/businesses that instruct their non-security staff to intervene. I have also heard it touted that if non-security staff did intervene, there might be a fine. Not sure how it will shake out.
  24. I agree, this sounds odd since you have not had an interview yet.
