More tips on the interview below……
    1. Speak slow, and answer questions in detail. Stick to the question and don’t veer off the subject. Respond clear, and descriptive. Should not be longer than one minute to answer, but be sure to explain yourself.
    2. If you do not know the answer to a question, do not lie. Say, "I don't know the answer to that at this time." or "I don't remember."
    3. The answer to many questions will be in the papers that were sent in the petitions. Questions like, "what are your wife's parent's names". They will expect you to know the information given in your petitions. Review everything in your paperwork with your husband before his interview, and do a mock interview to see how the information may be applied.
    4. Avoid saying "I think . . .". Women do this a lot. The examiner will expect you to know not be unsure, of your answers. Alwife, avoid adding "umm", "you know" and "ahh" type fillers to your speech.
    5. When applicable, don't just state, demonstrate. If the examiner asks a question that can be answered with a document or photograph(s), provide it along with your answer.
For example, if the examiner asks, "What does your family think of your wife?", give them a picture or two with your answer; "They like her very much. Here is a picture of her with my mother at my home."
Or, "How many attended your wedding?" Answer, "(give a number, then say) We have wifeme lovely wedding photos of our guests having fun. Here are a few that I can show you."
    6. Give American answers for dates and times. 12/24/07, not 24/12/07.
    7. Dress well, but not overdressed.
    8. Try to appear calm, well organized, and friendly. Nervousness raises suspicions.
    9. Remain focused. If the examiner makes jokes, smile and enjoy, but do not make jokes too.
    10. Make proper eye contact when conversing with the examiner, and try to control your own facial expressions assure that your face remains pleasant and cordial.
    11. Be audible (means speak up) your examiner doesn't have to ask you to repeat your answers.
    12. Organize your papers in a way that will allow you to retrieve them easily and quickly. Examiners appreciate order and someone who doesn't waste their time.
    13. When the interview is over, always ask for the results. "What should I now tell my wife about my visa status after our interview?" Before you leave, have them explain any papers they give to you and/or any procedures they will be taking to complete your case. Try to get the examiner's name for future reference, if needed. Write it down. Remember to verify the phone number so they can contact you to pick up the VISA.!@! hurray@@!!!
    14. Arrive early to the consulate, but always be prepared to wait for a time past your scheduled interview appointment time. Be careful of thieves around the consulate if you have to carry cash. Bring ID; you cannot enter without it.
CONFIDENCE IS THE KEY TO ANYTHING!

Your case isn't getting shipped anywhere until you are assigned an interview.
First you need to get case complete. After case Complete you are in interview queue June interviews should start this week.
Have you called NVC to see if you have case complete You said you submitted the AOS and IV when was that?
The case complete email comes 1 week after they have case completed you.
And yes you have to have the interview letter in hand to go to get medical. That is required for Lagos.
And as I said when did you submit your packets and figure 20 to 30 days to review and accept for case complete.

    Hello VJ friends,
Recently I posted about my husband and myself and about our relationship status since his arrival from Nigeria. For those of you who have knows about our story and visa journey then you know it took us a long time to be finally together.
Since his arrival, we have been happy and our married life has been a great one. I posted a little update to encourage those who are still in their VJ to let them know that not EVERY relationship or marriage with a Nigeria is doomed, for the wrong reasons, for scam, or destined to fail. I got over thousand readers of our post but a handful posted their comments.
Then a week or so later, another member came in and posted a very vindictive and generalized post about all Nigerians and most people on VJ jumped to the opportunity to say their peace and point a finger at the person as if saying "you should of known this would happen when you married a Nigerian!".
Often we hear only one side of the story when people come back and post their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the broken marriage/relationship. I am not saying there is no truth in their stories, but hearing one side of the story doesn't mean we are getting all the facts. I personally run a support group on FB and I have met many couples Nigerians or otherwise with most having a successful outcome once they are together.
PLEASE those who are with their mates finally, instead of forgetting to come back and share your experiences, come back and share so others can relate, learn and grow from your experiences. WE hold valuable lessons for others to learn from. It is not just the bad that needs to be share. The good and positive does too!
I might be a one voice who repeats myself......but I pray I make an impact somehow, someway to exonerate the Nigerians name and reputation. Also, to give those Nigerians who's intentions are not so noble an incentive to improve and better themselves to do right by others.
We are one race that being human. Please love, help and support each other to improve life for others as much as we do for ourselves. God bless!

Good article. Your 'article' indicated homicide rate and NOT general gun violence rates. 1000 people could be shot in the US and 50 people shot in Brazil. If 5 people die in the US and 30 die in Brazil, by the map and statistics indicated on the site, Brazil is rated higher than the US. This again does not prove any point or disprove the fact that the US has the highest gun violence issues relative to any country. Please get your facts right before trying to counter arguments. it is very important. Thank you!

Well you haven't but the statistics indicated by the EU (so I believe it is credible) in one of the articles I gave you, indicates so, right?
You see how you are quick to debunk such a claim because you do not believe it. It is the same way I would want you to give it some thought before you hastily generalize claims about races of people etc. It is the basis and foundations of racism and it is very unfair to classify entire populations of people in that way. We in the western world have done that for so long against people whose ways of life are different from ours yet we have much more terrible issues here. Please if you want to learn more, take a trip like I did..go to Africa, stay there for months..and learn on a first hand basis and then I will give what you say some credibility. Until then desist from making such assertions. Thank you!

    http://ec.europa.eu/public_opinion/archives/ebs/ebs_344_en.pdf
    http://www.statisticbrain.com/domestic-violence-abuse-stats/
and I can get you a 1000 more search research articles and papers.
You will realize that I employed the same measures you did to show you that just as you claim Nigerian men are violent by your 'research', so are European (specifically Danes) and American men by those same or similar statistics. If you had taken the time to read what I wrote regarding Framing and Gate Keeping theory, you wouldn't have hastily pulled up 'resources' over the internet to explain your 'points'. By what you were trying to prove and what I am trying to counter-prove, American men and European men (specifically Danes) fall in the same category and are all violent, abusive and every woman should stay away from them..But is this true??? NO!
You did NOT prove any point so..
Again..It's facts BEFORE hasty generalization. Thank you!

It worries me when people make such wrong assumptions without facts. Where did you get it that - There is a higher likelihood of marriages between US citizens and people in so-called high fraud countries are likely to fail?? You are aware that Russia is a high fraud country too..so does it mean, it is advisable for American citizens to be wary of anybody from Russia because they might be phony?? I think you should desist from making claims have no basis or proof and which you have not thoroughly researched. Stereotyping and hasty generalizations have being proven to be very wrong all the time!

As sorry I am for you regarding your situation and happy that you took measures to ensure he longer hurts you, I would want you to take the time to learn about the fallacy of hasty generalization in philosophy. To generalize that all Nigerian men because you met a bad one or a couple of your friends met bad ones is a very big error which you shouldn't ever repeat again. It is like someone outside the US saying all american women are disrespectful and obnoxious because they met a few who fit in that category or the media creates that stereotype in the eyes of people through movies etc, but we here know that is so far from the truth.
A lot of African men are rather good and caring people and have a deep sense of family. They might have different cultures and how they relate to/with people might be different but I know a whole LOT of them and have spent a lot of time in all the continents (except Australia) in the world because of the nature of my work and I can tell you there are good and bad men everywhere. What would you say then to the men who beat up their girlfriends and wives everyday here in the US. A typical case is Jennifer Hudson's (Yes the RnB artist) mother and sister's case (Google it up if you don't know about it already), would that mean that all American men are violent and killers?? NO! So before you start stereotyping wrongly and making very false hasty generalizations, perhaps take the time to research more about cultures of the world.

Hello VJ'rs : I just completed my interview in Montreal for an IR1 visa, spouse of US citizen. I have to first say we started the process with the idea that we would not try to rush and just let the process take its course. We filed all our paperwork in March of 2013 and it took about 5 months for it to get through USICS. After we tecieved notification that it was at NVC on November 5th, we registered for electronic processing, filed DS-261. Filled out DS-260 and 864-EZ. Interview letter arrived January 30th via email. Interview was today March 13, 2014.
I arrived in Montreal last night to cold, wind and snow. Stayed at the hotel saint Philip. Suggestion by VJ'er. Consulate is right around the block, or just through the back parking lot and to the right. I got my Starbucks up the street on Rue st. Catherine's, and walked to the consulate, I actually walked right by it and when I xame back there were about 12 people in front of me at 20 to 8am. I had to empty my backpack and leave it on the post up the street. Couldn't leave it near the consulate outside. Apparently the school across the street will hold your bag if it is too big to take in. Purses of average size are okay but nothing larger.
Had to show passport and Loomis courier letter at the front door, then stand in line to get in. One or two at a time through security. Empty all documents, personal items into bins, empty coat pockets, just like at airport.
Go through metal detector. Security guard went through my puse, took out my cellphone, iPod, lip balm and dental floss. Kept them and gave me a ticket to pick up later. Took bin with all items downstairs and emptied bin.
Got into elevator and went to the 19th floor. There were about 20 people in front of me but because I was doing immigration visa receptionist called anyone doing immigration to come forward. She looked at my Loomis letter and passport and gave me a ticket with number A3. I was first. About 15 minutes later I was called to a window where my documents and passport were handed in and my fingerprints taken. The woman was very nice. I was then told to have seat and they would either call my number or my name. About 40 minutes later they called my number and I went to a little room and was asked, how long I had been married, if we had any children between us of our own, this is second marriage for both. He confirmed income and said we were a textbook case and wished everyone's case was this simple.
Bottom line, be patient, check and double check paperwork is complete and signed. Use electronic processing if you can and it should all go smoothly.
Big thanks to Saylin and others for posts. It really helped.
Have updated timeline to reflect and once passport arrives I will update it again
    Good luck to all.

Yeah same here, when my husband got here from Morocco, it was perfectly normal to ask him if he needed anything on a daily basis. After a few weeks of receiving his social security card, I added him to all my bank accounts where he received his on ATM and debit card to use for whatever he needed. Now that he has been working a few years, he just goes to the stores and shops whenever he needs something now.
As far as the home stuff, we both enjoy cooking a lot. If I'm not home in the evening when he has a off day, I will come home to a wonderful moroccan dinner. I never have to make the bed lol, it's done as soon as his feet hits the floor. He does his own wash as he always did in Morocco. I don't work, so I basically do all the grocery shopping, etc. and keep up the little necessary things inside the home.

    Late April filers @ Nebraska!!!
I can tell for sure that Nebraska is currently working on last week of April and 1st week of May files with a transfer date of 3rd December. I have been observing majority of the NSC approvals since last week and this week and there seems to be a clear trend... there were 3 April 29th approvals last week and all had a transfer date of 3rd Dec... Like wise yesterday and today altogether we had 3 early May approvals from Nebraska with a transfer date of 3rd Dec....
I believe people like zamsha and a few more early May filers with a transfer date of 12/3 can expect an approval from Nebraska in the next few days......
My transfer date is 12/4 similar to people like Atrain, SJ&BB and quite a few other early May filers... We stand next in the queue and hopefully could expect an approval in the next 10 t0 15 days if Nebraska sticks to this trend.... The next few days should tell the story.. Lets keep our eyes open guys!!!

I know its random because I actually bothered to look through the receipt numbers (in batches) and empirical evidence proves that they leave out receipt numbers willy nilly and move onto transferring batches that are not consecutive. I am a computer scientist by profession and I consider myself sane enough (whatever sane means right now) to identify nonsensical patterns of processing.
Also CSC, NSC and TSC dont have anything to do with decision making about who gets transferred.
They are recipients of the transfer. What does the fact that they exist have anything to do with the transfer ?
NBC is where they are transferring and they are doing it like they're on crack cocaine.
What does the number of cR1/IR1 applicants have anything to do with the order in which they are processed ??
What does RFEs etc have to do with processing first-in first-out ?
Why not process them in a certain order ? They're mixing up PDs to the point where people with PDs from later in the month are being processed than those with PDs from earlier dates for no damn reason.

How is it that they are transferring their receipt numbers in no particular order ?
I understand that batches of 1000 are being processed per day, but why not do it in ascending/increasing/upwards order ?
They are literally taking random cases, transferring in a NOT-FIFO fashion and operating in a state of complete chaos.
What is this banana republic ?

There are 2 points to front load a petition. When you submit it and then adding things at NVC. Fronting loading has become popular with scammers so it has become a red flag in itself. Supposedly the CO can only deny a petition if they discover something that was unknown when the petition was approved that sways them to override the initial approval. So front loading when you send the petition is sent in means the evidence was there when the petition was approved. Adding stuff later means that it wasn't there when the petition was approved. So items added later could in theory give the CO the evidence that didn't exist when the petition was approved that something was amiss and then they deny the petition. Will they use the extra evidence that way. It is a roll of the dice when you add stuff later.
