Got an email saying my passport and passport card was shipped today! Also received a USPS priority mail tracking number. Some text saying my citizenship evidence may arrive ten days after my passport and passport card arrives.
Location: Broomfield, Colorado county office
Application sent: Sept 8
Check cashed: Sept 10Trackable: Sept 10
Passport Center: Denver, Colorado
Received email that my PP and PC have been shipped: Oct. 21
I'm excited but trying not to be too excited! -
File a complaint. But before that, get a copy of the office's anti-discrimination and harrassment policies. If your husband works for a university, there are offices that can help him, such as an ombudman's office or faculty and staff support services.

I became a US citizen in a parking ramp today. It was probably one of the strangest moments of my life so far! I was worried they were going to cancel the ceremony after Cedar Rapids got pounded by the Derecho storm. But it all worked out in the end!
Thank you to all of you for your support ♥️ I’m keeping my fingers crossed for all those who are still waiting 🤞
Congratulations!!!

Good luck to all those with scheduled interviews and congrats to those who passed their interviews and taken their oaths!

Because I couldn’t in all conscience say the oath until recently. Particularly with regard to giving up loyalty to my country of birth. Basically it was the stupidity of brexit that made me change my mind.
I hear ya!

Received a message on my online USCIS account that an interview has been scheduled. However, I don't know when yet. Waiting for that other letter to show up on my documents tab. Guess I better start reviewing! My field office is Denver and I submitted my application early January.

Just had my interview this morning.
My case is pretty straightforward and the interview officer was very kind and professional. Status changed to “Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled” even before I left the building!
Congratulations!!!

No updates for me either. Just checked today. It says estimated wait time is two months, and case completion time September 2020. I'll be checking my online account regularly from now on. Good to know there's progress in others' cases!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I hope you are healthy and staying safe and that your loved ones are safe as well. If you've gotten this far, you have amazing resilience that not a lot of people have. I may not have met you and may never will, but we've been on this journey together and I truly wish you well during this strange time that we re all in.
Take care,

I read somewhere that the photo taken at the naturalization biometrics could end up on the naturalization certificate. I would find a way to reschedule.

As I sat in the Denver Field Office two days ago, waiting for my number to be called, I wondered how many people in the room were Visa Journey members. I thought, I should be wearing a Visa Journey T-shirt.
Visa Journey should think of selling swag -
Any other January 2020 filers here in Denver? I was at the field office on Friday for my Biometrics, and I don't know if it was just because of the good weather, but it was my best, most relaxed Biometrics experience ever. The guard was very pleasant, the receptionist chatted me up. And I chatted with the Biometrics lady about the much-anticipated opening of the first Colorado In-and-Out restaurant in Aurora.
Or maybe I was just tense and nervous during my I-485 and my I-751.

Two days to my Biometrics. Why am I excited/nervous? I've done this at least twice before.

Hello everyone,
I know this might be getting ahead of myself, but here are three tasks that need to be done as soon as we re naturalized. I didn't even know about No. 1. Apparently this is part of the Welcome Packet that one gets at the oath ceremony. But I was browsing for information about expedited passport applications because I have a trip occurring around the time that my oath ceremony might be scheduled (based on estimated completion time). Anyhow, just food for though.
1. Update our Social Security profile
2. Apply for a US Passport
3. Register to vote

Updated My SSN with SSA and it was simple
in Passports, etc. - What to do now that you are a US citizen

Adding my pleasant, quick experience updating my SS status:
Walked in today at 9:05 am without an appointment. This was at the Louisville, CO branch. Masks and social distancing rules in place. Checked in at an electronic kiosk then took a seat. Chairs also marked so that clients don't sit less than six feet apart. My number was called after three minutes. I entered a hallway with chairs and counter windows. I stated my purpose for the visit which were: 1) to update my citizenship status, and 2) to apply for a new card because my present one has the DHS restriction on it.
The clerk was efficient and friendly. I was a bit hard to hear her because of the acoustics of the hall. The woman behind me had a difficult case and she was upset and so even if I didn't want to hear her, everyone in the hallway could. I could also hear another lady down the hall, also a customer.
The clerk asked for my driver's license and proof that I was a citizen. I gave her my naturalization certificate. I also had my passport and passport card just in case. She verified some of my information, and asked me to double check the information that would appear on my new SS card. She then gave me back my documents. Said my new card would arrive in the mail after two weeks.
I was out of the SS office 30 to 40 minutes since I arrived.
If I had known that a walk in was this easy, I would not have spend two hours total on the phone trying to schedule an appoinment.
Take care everyone and be well!
