    Permanent Residents enjoy almost the same social benefits with U.S. citizens except:
    1. Working for federal government;
    2. Being elected for public office;
    3. Voting;
    4. Travel conveniences with U.S. passport.
    Therefore, if your wife doesn't care for any of that, then no, she doesn't have to be a citizen.
    Also, you may be a native English speaker, but sometimes only a teacher know how to improve someone's listening and speaking skills in a short time. Besides, you may be able to train your wife to understand a native speaker, but a lot of immigration officers are immigrants themselves with a different accent... Are you sure your wife can master English in a short time to the point she can screen through accents with only your help? So yeah, hiring a short-term language trainer isn't a ridiculous notion.
    If you think someone's advice is irrelevant to your needs, then please feel free to ignore, there's no need to be mean to someone who's tried to help you.

    Dad might not be so interested if it means that daughter has to move in with him, either.

    Yep. He is in Morocco. It's possible they might have filed and they are waiting. But I don't think so, because Nicole's twitter has an inspirational quote that goes something like "if at first you don't succeed, try try again" or "don't smile because it's over, smile because it happened" or some such nonsense that tells me that the relationship is over.

    The kid is 15, so if she feels up to it, she might have a little chat with her dad about what she wants.

    Fastest for US immigration purposes is K1, but comes with caveats (such as having to marry on US soil, not being able to work immediately).
    See the comparison chart here for alternate options: http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare
    Your main two choices are I-129f for K1 or I-130 for CR-1 filed via the US, unless you both happen to be UK residents, in which case the DCF path opens up to you.

    +1 to above post.
    It's not necessarily helpful to know what others saved. A good rule of thumb would probably be to have 3 - 6 months worth of cost-of living saved up to cover you while you're possibly not working/job seeking or incurring larger than usual costs due to the move. So, whatever it would cost for you to pay your bills etc. in the area you're moving to.
    If you don't need all that money, then you've got yourself your emergency fund for the future!
    Use a calculator like this to work something reasonable out for you: http://practicalmoneyskills.com/calculators/calculate/emergencyFund.php?calcCategory=budget
    Also, check tools like this for seeing a comparison of where you're coming from to where you're going: http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/comparison.jsp
    Remember to add in costs for relocation - finding a new home, potentially renting a home while you're looking for a new one (I do not recommend paying for rent in London and SF at the same time - we had to do that for a couple months, and it was ALL THE $$$) or hotel costs, flights, fees for realtors, shipping your possessions, buying new household items (particularly large electronics that may not work UK->US), a car if you're moving somewhere that you must drive (+insurance, registration) etc.

    Hey guys I got a job!!
    It is just a silly little low paying job at a super market BUT it is a START. I will keep looking for something better of course and even do a little something on the side.

    Indeed.
    Every single wedding I've been to in the last 5 years (including my own - and I'm in that age bracket where EVERYONE I KNOW IS GETTING MARRIED, ughhh) has had a professional photographer. We recently went to my husband's family reunion / someone's wedding anniversary shindig, and they had a pro photographer, too.

    "I have an extensive bacground and titles in computers more specifically in graphic design, HTML and Flash."
    With your computer background and graphic design & web skills, you could go for some freelance contracting. You could do it at home, that way. I'm a professional web developer and designer, and I work freelance and a lot of the time I do that from home. Flash is basically dead, though.
    Oh, and if you feel comfortable doing so, feel free to PM me and I'll keep an eye out for anything that looks like it might suit your background - I often have to turn away work or get asked if I know someone with a certain set of skills.
    This is a fairly popular and legit website for finding such gigs, if that interests you: https://www.authenticjobs.com/ Many are remote and/or short-term / part-time etc. Once you've had one or two gigs, people will recommend you to others / come back for more.

    You'll be fine. London is one of the easiest places to interview at for this type of visa. You can read how other people found the experience here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=United+Kingdom&cty=&dfilter=5&topic=K1+Visa
    Don't pay attention to interview experiences from other countries - some are a lot harder / more stressful, and they'll only make you worry unnecessarily. You've done pretty much all the hard work - the interview is honestly the easiest part and more of a perfunctory step at this stage in London.

    p.s. YOU BOUGHT A HOUSE TOGETHER!?! That's like, 100% more stressful than this interview will be AND excellent evidence all on it's own.
