If you paid for that training, you should ask for a refund. Yes, you are totally mistaken. Go start your own business, and learn something about "economics" in the real world.

I'm sorry to read that you were used by someone who wants to come and live in USA by circumventing immigration laws. Some of those women are will tutored about our laws specially VAWA and how to do that before using honest men like. The law mentioned below is supporting the job of many people who are employed by organization supported by the VAWA act. Among them are Pro-Bono attorneys (Volunteer Attorneys who wants to make name for themselves and advance their political agenda). The employee of such organization do not try to counsel the persons who claim an abuse, on the contrary they put oil on fire, WHY because the more cases they worked on the more justification they get to secure the $1.6 billion congress funding, it is job security to have more cases even if most of them are false claims, no doubt some women and men also are abused, but most of the persons who seeks the help of those organization are seeking immigration benefits. In Domestic Violence reporting, it is enough for the person to say that her/his partner is looking to him/.her with that look that put fear in her/him that simple look can get the person to be arrested. I do not think that you can do anything of preventing her from getting Green card, even if you will be able to withdraw your I-864 affidavit of support, which I doubted and I’m not in position to know what USCIS will do regarding the request of withdrawing the I-864. I support other VJ members’ opinion, get divorce attorney, to secure your assets and get divorce and go on with your life, she does not deserve mercy of sympathy. Good Luck
The Violence Against Women Act of 1994 (VAWA) is a United States federal law (Title IV, sec. 40001-40703 of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, H.R. 3355) signed as Pub.L. 103-322 by President Bill Clinton on September 13, 1994. The Act provided $1.6 billion toward investigation and prosecution of violent crimes against women, imposed automatic and mandatory restitution on those convicted, and allowed civil redress in cases prosecutors chose to leave unprosecuted. The Act also established the Office on Violence Against Women within the Department of Justice.
The Act's 2012 renewal was fiercely opposed by conservative Republicans, who objected to extending the Act's protections to same-sex couples and to provisions allowing battered illegal immigrants to claim temporary visas.[5] In April 2012, the Senate voted to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act,

Believe.. you underlined only the sentences you like, but you did not read carefully what I wrote” NO doubt some women and men also are abused”. That means there are true and genuine domestic Violence cases and others are not genuine. You should read carefully what define an act or the criteria of Domestic Violence in any US State law .

If you presented as much rambly incoherency in your EOR letter, I'm not surprised you were denied. I doubt it had anything to do with your respective ethnic backgrounds and more to do with you not doing your due diligence in thoroughly preparing your documentation.

Just thought I'd share something I saw today that's kinda rare.
I've spent a lot of time in the outdoors here in Texas and have only seen maybe 3 adult porcupines in my entire lifetime...Unfortunately I have seen several dead on the road over the years, but seeing one alive in the wild is a pretty rare occurance even for those who live and work in remote areas. Porcupines are not really rare in numbers, but because they are primarily nocturnal and are also very slow moving and timid animals, they tend to stay well hidden most of the time unless they are foraging for food or during the breeding season.
So you can imagine my surprise when I saw this lil' guy very near my home just before sunset today.
This lil' guy calmly posed for several great camera shots as I knelt less than 2 feet away from him, I felt priviledged to see one so young and in such good light conditions. He's probably about 6 - 8 months old.

Hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I did.

We Are The Art reacted to Obama 2012 in President Obama's Accomplishments!
Every now and again, the other side likes to claim President Obama doesn't have a record to run on. They're wrong. Here's a taste of why:
(Just a couple of) the Obama Administration's accomplishments:
    1. The first bill President Obama signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, to help women fight back when they don't get equal pay for equal work.
Damn right! How dare the private market decide how to pay employees!!!!!
    2. His Recovery Act supported millions of jobs and helped to stave off a second Great Depression.
Little do people know we basically just gave a blank check to the Federal Reserve and this really didn't help anyone. All of those 'shovel ready' projects already had funds coming!
    3. He pushed for and won middle-class tax cuts that benefitted every American worker, and saved the typical family $3,600 in taxes over the last four years.
Hey, Obama took credit for something BUSH did! Great! I guess Obama thinks Bush's ideas were successful!
    4. President Obama rescued the auto industry, and now GM and Chrysler are healthier than they've ever been. The American auto industry has added nearly a quarter of a million jobs since June 2009 -- and they most likely wouldn't exist right now without President Obama's leadership.
Hey, another BUSH accomplishment Obama is taking credit for!!!!
    5. He doubled funding for Pell Grants, helping to make college more affordable for nearly 10 million families.
Government cheese! Who doesn't like Free ####### at the expense of others!!!!
    6. His student loan reform ended billions in subsidies to banks serving as middlemen and reinvested those savings directly into students.
The government in our lives even more! The little lie of permanent low interest rates, but who keeps up with government lies? It's only those EVIL banks who are EVIL!!!!!
    7. The President established the American Opportunity Tax Credit, worth up to $10,000 over four years of college.
    Wow, more government handouts!!! WOOOOOOO!!!
    8. His Race to the Top Initiative helped spur nearly every state to raise academic standards.
Meanwhile more students are failing or having GPS units placed on them to be forced to stay in school!
    9. His tax cuts, social-welfare programs, and economic policies lifted nearly 7 million Americans above the federal poverty line in 2010.
Government cheese at the expense of those who work hard for a living! Welfare queens rejoice!!! You da bomb ladies!!!!
    10. President Obama has signed 18 tax cuts for small businesses since taking office.
Funny, those small businesses must be campaign donors, as we don't see jack around here!
    11. We've seen 5.2 million new private-sector jobs over the last 31 months.
Obama creates jobs? Oh that's right! You didn't build that! He did!!!!
    12. The unemployment rate is at the lowest level since President Obama took office.
23 million not employed or under-employed, but who's counting right?
    13. Health care reform -- passed after decades of failed attempts by every previous President -- provides affordable health coverage to every American and will lower premiums by an average of $2,000 per family by 2019.
Premiums actually have gone up and will continue to go up, not to mention the communist/socialist BS of the individual mandate handing America over to corporation. Yet the left cheers this? Ironic really.
    14. Obamacare expanded access to lifesaving preventive care such as cancer screenings and immunizations with no out-of-pocket costs for 54 million Americans.
No out of pocket costs? Except for those higher premiums.....
    15. Obamacare ends insurance discrimination against the 129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions.
Being a dictator is applauded these days? Amazing! Discrimination against bad business practice... Obviously this guy never ran a business in his life!
    16. Because of Obamacare, over 3 million more young adults have health insurance today than would if the new law hadn't passed.
So cradle to grave dependency? Age 26 to stay on health plans? Please. This is NOT an accomplihment. It's a travesty!
    17. The parents of over 17 million children with pre-existing conditions no longer have to worry that their children will be denied coverage.
Again, DICTATING to private businesses who they must serve against their best interest. Only a left-wing nutbar could agree with this!
    18. President Obama has ordered the overhaul of federal government regulations to make them smarter, practical, and more efficient. Just a fraction of these commonsense initiatives will help save businesses $10 billion in the next five years alone.
So made up voodoo BS that hasn't saved anyone money? Lovely.... The regulations are a pain in the butt still!
    19. His historic investments in clean energy have helped more than double the amount of electricity we obtain from wind and solar sources and helped increase biofuel production to its highest level in history.
    One word: Solyndra
    20. President Obama is doubling fuel efficiency standards, which will save drivers more than $8,000 at the gas pump, not to mention lessen the impact of automobiles on our environment.
Gas prices have almost tripled at times since Obama has taken office!!! He's not saving anyone money! Higher fuel standards also = higher vehicle prices!! Delusional left-wing propoganda here!
    21. President Obama has taken unprecedented action to address climate change, reaching historic international agreements to curb carbon emissions, and taking action here at home to reduce carbon pollution from our vehicles and promote clean energy production.
So Obama believes in junk science? So much for having an educated leader of the free world....
    22. He has taken historic action to protect our environment -- signing one of the largest expansions of protected wilderness in a generation and putting in place standards to reduce toxic air pollution that will save thousands of lives.
Meanwhile, China is drilling right off our shore in areas we can't drill thanks to the left! GJ!!! Way to support China's growth Mr. President!
    23. President Obama fought for and won landmark Wall Street reform that reins in the abuses that led to the financial crisis and ends the era of taxpayer bailouts and "too big to fail."
So he bailed out private companies, banks, etc... has new reforms, but doesn't address the root cause of the problem (the underground derivatives market) and he's cheering himself? Pathetic!
    24. Wall Street reform created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the nation's first federal agency focused solely on consumer financial protection -- and the Bureau is already protecting families from unfair and abusive financial practices from Wall Street banks and shadowy corners of the financial industry.
Abuse hasn't changed or stopped. Banks just tell you they are doing to rob you first now!
    25. As part of President Obama's commitment to transparency, the White House has posted its visitor records online for the first time ever.
Visitor records maybe... but this has actually been the LEAST transparent administration in recent President's. Another campaign promise not kept!
    26. President Obama's all-of-the-above approach to energy has helped cut the United States' dependence on foreign oil to its lowest level in 20 years.
PRIVATE industry has grown oil... FEDERAL oil production has gone DOWN!!! More LIES from this President!
    27. President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq.
More lies! More money being spent there than ever. Military replaced with private security firms! The defense industry has grown HUGE under Obama!
    28. He announced a plan to end the war in Afghanistan and transition security responsibility to the Afghan people.
See previous comment. Applies the same!
    29. President Obama sent the largest security assistance package to Israel in history and funded the Iron Dome system, which is protecting Israeli homes and schools from rocket attacks.
Obama does all this alone. Man, what a guy!
    30. President Obama rallied the international community to implement the toughest sanctions on Iran in history.
    Toughest in history?
    31. Through the President's historic increases in Veterans Affairs funding, he has expanded and improved healthcare and job training access for our returning veterans.
Ask almost ANY veteran, they will disagree with this wholeheartedly. VA healthcare is still #######!
    32. President Obama negotiated the New START Treaty with Russia to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in both countries. At the same time, he also secured commitments from dozens of other countries to lock down nuclear materials.
Obama, taking down America's defenses. What a leader!
    33. His administration naturalized 11,146 military service members as U.S. citizens in 2010; more than in any year since 1955.
Maybe a good accomplishment, but this is nothing new!
    34. President Obama set a bold new plan for the future of NASA space exploration, using the skill and ability of the private sector for short trips to the International Space Station, while building a new vehicle for exploration of distant space, and doing everything in his power to support the economy on Florida's Space Coast.
Yup, we've gutted NASA, but who really cares about that!
    35. President Obama recognizes that tourism is one of America's largest economic engines; he's worked to encourage international visitors to come here, maintaining our security while keeping millions of Americans in good, paying jobs.
Gotta invite those chinese investors in here to take a look around!
    36. He has affirmed his personal support of marriage equality, directed the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA in federal courts, and took the practical and compassionate step of extending hospital visitation rights to same-sex partners.
He violated the law by not defending the law! Truly a great guy!
    37. He fought for and won the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, allowing gay and lesbian members of the military to serve openly for the first time in history.
Helloooo, we're here and we're...... not really impressed!
    38. When Congress failed to fix our broken immigration system, his administration did everything in its power to improve it, streamlining the legal immigration process and announcing a policy that lifts the shadow of deportation from hard working young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.
Obama: "It's ok to be an illegal! I got your back! Srew America!"
    39. Oh, and he gave the order to send troops in after Osama Bin Laden -- and has decimated al-Qaeda's senior leadership.
Obama! Did it all by himself!! Of course he won't produce any real evidence of Osama's death, but hey, he's trust worthy, right? right?

Romney Vs. Obama:”If America Is To Endure As A Nation….”
    By Patrick J. Buchanan

"Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people—a people descended from the same ancestors,

speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs,

and who, by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established general liberty and independence."

So wrote John Jay in Federalist No. 2, wherein he describes Americans as a "band of brethren united to each other by the strongest ties."

That "band of brethren united" no longer exists.
No longer are we "descended from the same ancestors."
Indeed, as we are daily instructed, it is our "diversity"—our citizens can trace their ancestors to every member state of the United Nations—that "is our strength." And this diversity makes us a stronger, better country than the America of Eisenhower and JFK.
No longer do we speak the same language. To tens of millions, Spanish is their language. Millions more do not use English in their homes. Nor are their children taught in English in the schools.
As for "professing the same religion," the Christianity of Jay and the Founding Fathers has been purged from all public institutions. One in 5 Americans profess no religious faith. The mainline Protestant churches—the Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran and Presbyterian—have been losing congregants for a half-century. Secularism is the religion of the elites. It alone is promulgated in public schools.
Are we attached to "the same principles of government"?
Half the nation believes it is the duty of government to feed, house, educate and medicate the population and endlessly extract from the well-to-do whatever is required to make everybody more equal.
Egalitarianism has triumphed over freedom. Hierarchy, the natural concomitant of freedom, is seen as undemocratic.
Are we similar "in our manners and customs"? Are we agreed upon what is good or even tolerable in music, literature, art?
Do we all seek to live by the same moral code? Abortion, a felony in the 1950s, is now a constitutional right. Homosexual marriage, an absurdity not long ago, is the civil rights cause du jour.
Dissent from the intolerant new orthodoxy and you are a bigot, a hater, a homophobe, an enemy of women's rights.
Recent wars—Vietnam, Iraq—have seen us not "fighting side by side" but fighting side against side.
Racially, morally, politically, culturally, socially, the America of Jay and the Federalist Papers is ancient history. Less and less do we have in common. And to listen to cable TV is to realize that Americans do not even like one another. If America did not exist as a nation, would these 50 disparate states surrender their sovereignty and independence to enter such a union as the United States of 2012?
Nor are we unique in sensing that we are no longer one. Scotland, Catalonia and Flanders maneuver to break free of the nations that contain their peoples. All over the world, peoples are disaggregating along the lines of creed, culture, tribe and faith.
What has this to do with the election of 2012? Everything.
For if America is to endure as a nation, her peoples are going to need the freedom to live differently and the space to live apart, according to their irreconcilable beliefs. Yet should Barack Obama win, the centralization of power and control will continue beyond the point of no return.
His replacement of any retiring Supreme Court justice with another judicial activist—a Sonia Sotomayor, an Elena Kagan—would negate a half-century of conservative labors and mean that abortion on demand—like slavery, a moral abomination to scores of millions—is forever law in all 50 states.
President Obama speaks now of a budget deal in which Democrats agree to $2.50 in spending cuts if the Republicans agree to $1 in tax increases. But given the character of his party—for whom Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, Head Start, earned income tax credits and Pell Grants are holy icons—any deal Obama cuts with Republicans in return for higher taxes will be like the deal Ronald Reagan eternally regretted.
The tax hikes become permanent; the budget cuts are never made.
In the first debate, Mitt Romney said that in crafting a budget that consumes a fourth of the economy, he would ask one question: "Is the program so critical that it's worth borrowing money from China to pay for it?"
If a President Romney held to that rule, it would spell an end to any new wars of choice and all foreign aid and grants to global redistributionsts—such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. It would entail a review of all U.S. alliances dating back to the Cold War, which have U.S. troops on every continent and in a hundred countries.
Obama offers more of the stalemate America has gone through for the past two years.
Romney alone offers a possibility of hope and change.

Almost my exact time frame. We have been happily married a year next month and she has her green card. As long has your relationship is real, you have proof and, you meet the income guidelines, you are both free to marry, etc you will have no problems. Everybody including me over stressed about the task ahead of you. I have never heard of a case in which both parties meet the guidelines and followed the rules, and where turned down. Take it serious, dot your I's and cross your T's but don't feel like your in a court case because your not.. This is an administrative process much like applying for a gun permit or car loan. If you fill out the right paper work correctly , pass the background check/credit report, and meet the requirements you will be approved. Also you don't need to send 100 pictures, a 10 page narrative on how you met, and 10 lbs of proof at any stage of the process, I am of the opinion it slows it down. My sweet landed in the USA a little under 5 months from the time we filed the K-1.
As you start your Journey I would also caution you this. Be careful of the answers you get here. Some people will drift in here that are fairly new to this, and sometimes, people give out bad info. I don't think it's on purpose but the guess, although they sound like experts. Look at the majority of the answers, research and make sure before you move forward. A lot of us that are further along in the process tend to stop osting after we settle into our new life, and often times the so called experts are newbies.
There is one more experienced poster in here that is very active, "Hank" I have never seen him miss on an answer. I think he has most of his info on cut and paste, because he answers the same questions over and over, but what you get from him is always dead on accurate. Heck I have even been technically wrong on a point once or twice, so like I said pay attention. I just don't post that often in here anymore.
Good luck. It will be over before you know it.. So Yes get your K-1 moving now.
On edit I see someone has already told you more than 1 visit will help. If you have the time and money by all means go it will not hurt. However going to the interview or making multiple trips will not affect the outcome of your K-1 in anyway other than helping you get to know your future wife better. The Legal requirement is to have met in person 1 time jn the past two years. That's it. Your not going to get bonus points for multiple trips. If you are like me and in a job that makes it hard for you to take long periods off for travel, then 1 times all you need.

If your fiancee doesn't want to push thru with your petition, then you have to accept that. Pick yourself up and move on with your life. You have a child who depends on you. Think of your daughter's welfare instead of moping around. You only have yourself to rely on.

If it was my goal to make it easy for the SSA drones (nothing personal), I'd take your advice to heart. I in fact did use my passport to update my SSA records, but I only did that because I had it the morning after my Oath Ceremony and it just was easier this way. Otherwise I wouldn't really care if the SSA employee has to actually work or use her brain to do what we pay her to do.

You all know me as the reasonable Romney supporter , and i do really care about all humans. I thought I would reach out to the LWNJ's on here for some advice when Obama loses.
1 Denial-- You will not believe the results and constantly flip from the major networks to MSNBC to see if possibly Chris Mathews can reverse the victory. You will listen for days to the TV in hopes Obama will issue a Executive order, to overturn this gross injustice. Your ears will listen with intent to hear talk of hanging chads, rigged voting machines. You will hope that the numerous lawsuits filed in Ohio claiming all kinds of disenfranchisement will work. You will grind your teeth and tear your clothes. You will scream out out, Our Messiah of hope and change what have you done.
    2. Anger-- You will scream out.. it's all Bush fault, you will scream that Romney be impeached before he even takes office. You will curse fox news and curse into the wind calling voting machine foul names.
    3. Bargaining- You will then try to explain why Obama losing means nothing. You will say it is unfair that he does not still pursue the policy of no hope and no change. You will explain how this is a moral victory.
    4. Depression. -- A lot of you will be scarce. You will threaten to leave the country, You may break down in tears.
Acceptance--Are you kidding me. Have you ever met a liberal that accepts anything. They are always right and their lofty sense of idealism and justice evaporates the second someone has a view that does not mirror their own.

    1. Contact the USCIS and find out if you can withdraw your I-864 Affidavit of Support. Withdraw it if you still can.
    2. File for divorce.
    3. Tell the USCIS you filed for divorce.
    4. Change the locks.
    5. Protect your assets.
