5 stages of Grief for Obama Supporters

You all know me as the reasonable Romney supporter , and i do really care about all humans. I thought I would reach out to the LWNJ's on here for some advice when Obama loses.

1 Denial-- You will not believe the results and constantly flip from the major networks to MSNBC to see if possibly Chris Mathews can reverse the victory. You will listen for days to the TV in hopes Obama will issue a Executive order, to overturn this gross injustice. Your ears will listen with intent to hear talk of hanging chads, rigged voting machines. You will hope that the numerous lawsuits filed in Ohio claiming all kinds of disenfranchisement will work. You will grind your teeth and tear your clothes. You will scream out out, Our Messiah of hope and change what have you done.

2. Anger-- You will scream out.. it's all Bush fault, you will scream that Romney be impeached before he even takes office. You will curse fox news and curse into the wind calling voting machine foul names.

3. Bargaining- You will then try to explain why Obama losing means nothing. You will say it is unfair that he does not still pursue the policy of no hope and no change. You will explain how this is a moral victory.

4. Depression. -- A lot of you will be scarce. You will threaten to leave the country, You may break down in tears.

Acceptance--Are you kidding me. Have you ever met a liberal that accepts anything. They are always right and their lofty sense of idealism and justice evaporates the second someone has a view that does not mirror their own.

All those loser politicians in NYC (Bloomberg), California, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle and District of Columbia are going to ####### their socialist pants if Obummer loses this one.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Is there a worst thread of the day contest going on that I didn't hear about? If so I hereby nominate this one.

Your already at stage 3 and he has not even lost yet.

I am inclined to believe Obama hasn't lost for no more subtle a reason than... Wait for it... Wait for it...

The election isn't final yet. Ya gonna go with that little fact to back my thinking on this subject.

By the way, cudos on doing your best to win the competition!

I think the emotion of "grief" is reserved for things that actually matter. To me, anyway. I can't imagine feeling something like grief over an election.

Acceptance--Are you kidding me. Have you ever met a liberal that accepts anything. They are always right and their lofty sense of idealism and justice evaporates the second someone has a view that does not mirror their own.

Says the person attempting to dictate the emotions of others. ;)

I am not trying to dictate emotions. As Industrial manager for over 22 years, I have a lot of experience in dealing with people. The 5 stages are well established and known . I am just trying to help my fellow VJ buddies thru an upcoming emotional crisis because I am compassionate and care.

You are, once again, making the mistake of painting an entire group of people with the same brush.

I support Obama but if he loses, I guarantee I will not feel a single one of those emotions.

Emotional crisis seems pretty dramatic :)

They won't. They will insist Obama supporters are the dumbest, most foolish sheeple on earth who once again drank the koolaid of their Lord and Savior Obama. Look also for cockeyed conspiracy theories, the Kenyans Manchurian tentacles being so long and deep. They will wail and nash their teeth that the voting machines, owned by subsidiary Romney Corporations were rigged improperly and voting defaults for Romney were programmed wrong and instead went to Obama. The list goes on, but have no fear, these folks won't disappear!

Mitt's bubble on intrade is deflating. And fast. His odds of winning dropped from 45% - the closest he ever came to 50% - to 38% over the last 3 days. Obama, on the other hand has recovered from 55% - the closest he ever came to drop below 50% - to 62% over that same time frame.
