Mogambi got a reaction from Sweetcheeksss in Are Bar Girls Disqualified From Getting a Visa?
Bar-girl and Cam-girl are very different things.
Bar-girl though too I suppose could mean many things, not ALL bar-girls engage in prostitution, but I think in general the term is used mostly for those that do.
Cam-girls, if you mean someone performing on a webcam or something like that, is something else entirely and isn't in any way illegal. Prostitution requires in person contact.
    Here's my .02
IF you are 100% honest with them, admit that you both engaged in prostitution, you 0% chance of getting her a visa.
IF you lie and don't get caught, you may succeed. I think people might give too much credit to them being about find out things like this on their own. Except I do believe they are pretty good about telling if someone is lying. Yet I'm sure it happens all that time that people fabricate stories of how they met.
IF you lie and get caught, she will face a ban, you will be in trouble as well. Probably not much would actually happen to you, I highly doubt they'd press charges and try to send you to jail. But they COULD. Probably not worth the risk.
I certainly don't recommend you lie. But I also think it's a bit ridiculous that prostitution is one of the things that can immediately deny you a visa, when in at least one area of the US (part of Nevada) prostitution is LEGAL. But whatever.
I think it's a real shame how many poor girls, out of desperation, are taken driven to it out of necessity, and are then forced to bear the stigma and consequences of it for a long time.
The thing you probably SHOULD do is to hire a good lawyer. Ask him/her what options you have, if any. If you really love this person, and she loves you, I wouldn't presume to say something as crass as 'never marry a bar-girl'. She's still a PERSON isn't she? As if the fact that she might have been driven to that, or that the OP chose to engage in prostitution is none of MY business.
He shouldn't lie, but I personally don't either of those should immediately disqualify two people who might actually really be in love. I suspect not ALL relationships of this type end in failure, maybe a lot do, but these people ought to have a chance at happiness too.
But you have a VERY tough case ahead of you if you proceed.

Does anyone else find it mildly offensive that the OP is making the decision FOR his fiancé that vacinnations are hamful and saying they can't have them? Maybe his/her fiancé would WELCOME being vaccinated against these things.
And personally, I'm pretty happy that because of vaccinations, I don't have to worry much about getting Smallpox, Polio, Measles, Mumps, etc. To each their own.
But maybe this isn't YOUR decision to make, but your Fiancé's?

Well first, this whole thing is just ridiculously complex and somewhat suspicious.
But here's my take, which will be very different from the others.
First, you have ALREADY committed immigration fraud. That is done, and not much to be done. To come forward now means to admit to doing so.
Second, I think that anyone here assuming the border patrol is going to match her finger prints to an older entry into the US, I highly doubt it. I think you give your government too much credit.
IF she really entered under an old name, if everything was true, I suspect you'd get away with it. I mean, at this point, you're already so deep into it, I'm not sure what I'd do. If you come clean now, you're likely facing something serious, she'll probably be banned, you'll be in trouble, etc. You could withdraw your petition, and then start over, but by then they might also match it. You could start over, and claim that all of this just came to light, that your fiancé didn't tell you all of this because she was so scared, and she hid it from you.
Either way, about the ONLY thing you can do right now is to find a very good Immigration Lawyer. I'll tell you that this one is highly regarded, he gave me some free advice on my case on something, and although he's in LA, you could at the minimum do a phone consult, explain your case and get some honest advice about how to proceed.
But you're in dangerous water at this point already. This is the lawyer that I had great luck with:
    Chris Wright

Your congress person can certainly be of use in cases where something goes wrong. And yes of course they have access much more direct than you. However, your congress person doesn't have authority to 'prioritize' your case, or get them to go any faster than they are able to go. The time to contact them is if you are denied and believe it's wrongful, if something else goes wrong etc. Not just to complain that you hate waiting like everyone else.

Mogambi got a reaction from SweetieUs in K1 Visa with a substantial age difference
The larger the age gap, the more suspicion that will placed on you for sure. And it sounds like you, the female, are the older one, which is considered pretty suspect (much more than an older man marrying a younger woman, which is considered pretty normal most places). So while there is nothing that says they can deny you for that, just be extra careful to have your evidence rock solid is all, and be ready for extra scrutiny.
If the relationship is real, you shouldn't have any problems.
I have no idea if Jordan is considered a high fraud country like Nigeria would be, for example.

Mogambi got a reaction from I AM NOT THAT GUY in W2 for self-employed?
Someone who is self-employed wouldn't typically have a W2, that is a tax document issued for employees from a company.
You'll need his most recent tax return (you can also order for free a tax transcript from the IRS, and this is preferable as it's not nearly as big as the full tax return, but will be accepted just fine).
I'm self employed, so I sent my fiancé my last 3 years of Tax Transcripts form the IRS.
    We passed with no problems.

Her flight took off about an hour and a half ago! Getting to the airport was tricky, the normal route she would have gone was flooded, so had to go quite a ways out of her way. But she has given herself plenty of time, so she's in the air!
Even got upgraded to business class, which will make the 13 hour flight a bit more bearable.

    Well here are my thoughts.
First, it would be a shame to throw away all the work you've done now, only to have to start all over with a CR1 Marriage visa. I think if you get one more extension, you should consider it.
Second, while I understand that it might be a 'train ride away', if your fiancé isn't willing even to invest some of HER time into this process, might that mean something else? I mean, this is not an easy process, but if she's not even willing to get a birth certificate.... She's going to need that no matter WHAT visa route you attempt, so she's better off just DOING it. And also obviously getting her passport as well. While I'm sure there is paperwork and stuff in getting those, neither is THAT hard to get.
As far as I know, there is no english proficiency test for a K1 or CR1 visa. There might be for a Citizenship application down the line, I don't know. Certainly my fiancé in the Philippines had the choice to have her interview in English or Tagalog, so had she not spoken a word of English, she would have still gotten her visa (she took it in English though).
But if you decide to get married in China, there is no problem for having filed the I-129F. It's just wasted time and money. And you'll have to start all over, and will have a 6 to 9 month wait AFTER the wedding, so you're just looking at a long time.
But again, the bigger question might be why doesn't your fiancé seem willing to invest any time on her end to make this all happen?

Curious why people here said you would have problems? Being accused or even charged with something is in and of itself NO problem. Only CONVICTIONS matter. If you were found not guilty on all charges, they are innocent by the law, nothing happened, by law that can't have any repercussions. You don't even need to list it, etc. It's not a criminal history to be CHARGED, only CONVICTED.
You didn't plea bargain, you didn't do time, then you have NO criminal background to worry about.
Anyway, people here probably assume even though you were innocent that you did something wrong and want to think bad of you. Screw them.
