reginakrys got a reaction from LanLav in PDOS and Guidance Counseling CFO
CFO is the organization giving both PDOS and G&C seminars. If I remember correctly, they gave one seminar right after the other, and then the one-on-one interview in the afternoon.
In G&C, they mostly talked about interracial marriages, and presented "worst case scenarios" of what life could be like with the foreign partner, especially if you don't know him/her that well.
In the PDOS part, I remember them talking about what to bring and what NOT to bring to the airport on the day of your flight.

If the state BON requires an English proficiency exam, then she must comply in order for them to issue her an RN license. This is entirely independent of which visa she's applying for.
Which state are you applying for? I applied for Vermont, and they required TOEFL only if the course wasn't taught in English. Philippine colleges use English as the medium of instruction.

No, not 30 days. "Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance", according to the NVC website.

No, not the NOA1, but the letter from NVC containing your MNL case number.

reginakrys got a reaction from Saylin in NVC:Two different tracks?
The only thing different between cases with and without lawyers is the DS-3032 or the Choice of Agent. Those who have lawyers involved in their cases DO NOT need to send the DS-3032 because it's understood already that their lawyer will be their agent. As a result, their AOS and IV fees are invoiced approximately at the same time (in contrast to those without lawyers where the IV fee is invoiced approximately a week after the AOS fee)
Are you looking at timelines of the same visa category as you? For spousal visa filers, both AOS and IV packages have to be approved at NVC before they can be assigned an interview date. Except for expedited cases - in these instances, forms and fees that are supposed to be submitted to NVC will be given during the interview.

Yes, everyone who is applying for a spousal visa follows the same process at NVC. Although with some countries, they can send files electronically.
What it means about having two independent tracks is that the "AOS track" is separate from the "IV track". No matter which stage of the AOS track you are in - payment still in process, paid successfully, AOS package under review, responding to AOS checklist - you can go forward with the IV track, and vice versa.

If it's legal in the Philippines, it's recognized in the US. I don't think you have to worry.

Only the NBI clearance is needed. Its purpose should be either for travel abroad or for travel to USA..

You mail a completely filled out DS-230 but with ONLY part 1 signed to NVC. During your interview, you will be asked to sign part 2.

Your file will not leave NVC until an interview date has been assigned. Timeframes between case complete and getting an interview date vary between consulates - depends on how busy your country's consulate is.

You can write it, but you CANNOT sign it. But remember, an employment letter is only optional.

I suggest using a clip because they might just disarrange the contents anyway.
Writing the case number is not required, but it's a good idea so that if ever a page gets accidentally dropped from your file, agents can easily locate where to put it back.

If the petitioner answered YES to all 3 questions, that only gives him the option of filing I-864EZ instead of I-864. It doesn't mean they SHOULD use the I-864EZ - they MAY fill out either form.

Either tax transcripts ordered from the IRS, OR tax returns PLUS W2's PLUS all applicable schedules - in short, everything you sent to the IRS.

I think you're overthinking things. Relax a bit, and come back to the form. You're supposed to tick which box applies to you, and not just NO because everyone's supposed to answer NO.
I included a separate sheet on my DS-230 for my addresses and educational history. I copied the table format as it was found on the DS-230 using MS Word, same headings and all, and printed it out. My IV package was approved.

The ds3032 and aos have nothing to do with each other. Except that they belong to the same case.

Get married, apply for an i130 FROM ABROAD.. That would probably get you into the magical auto expedited queue at USCIS. I say probably because i don't know for sure whether all petitions filed from abroad do get this special treatment.

The US citizen is the petitioner. The beneficiary is the applicant (for a visa).

The PAOSF and ACL emails are the AOS fee invoice and the DS-3032 (one addressed to the petitioner, the other to the beneficiary.) The AIVF is the IV fee. Try checking your NVC portal, you should be able to pay the fees even without reading what's in the PDF attachments.
