I-864 AOS Package

I am putting together the package for I-864 AOS. Please I was just wondering if it is ok to staple the form together or just use a clip and put them together. On the other documents such as paystub and tax transripts, is it ok to write my case number on each of the pages. Please advise. Thanks.

It states that:

"IF you filed US taxes, you MUST submit a copy of your most recent federal income tax return with all supporting schedules and/or W-2s, or an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript (even if you filed electronically). To request IRS-generated transcripts or copies of a tax return, visit the IRS website.◦The return must have all stapled together pages in the correct order"

and

"Ensure that: ◦All pages are stapled together in the correct order" (refering to the I 864)

Before I sent my i 864 package I called the NVC with the same question. I was told NOT to staple anything as everything that is sent to them is scanned into their system then forwarded on to the consulate. I was told to paper clip everything in the correct order. Also, be sure to write your case number on the top right hand corner of each page. Good luck

I suggest using a clip because they might just disarrange the contents anyway.

Writing the case number is not required, but it's a good idea so that if ever a page gets accidentally dropped from your file, agents can easily locate where to put it back.
