simple answer.................. NO he is not respecting you at all!!
You are not legally married, if you were you would not be doing the K-1. Confront him on this... yes I know, but confront him anyway. If you do not get good answers, cut your losses and walk away, life will only get worse with him later.
Your Fiance needs to grow a pair...

Being with you and being married to you his family would disrespect him for that?? Why would they not respect that he married someone he loves!
He doesn't want anyone to know about you or his marriage??
Whats he going to do lock you up and never let you out of the house when you get to the USA? He doesn't want anyone to know about you! Be very careful! this doesn't sound right at all.

that can happen but if you look at the statistics its rare or its a common name like Muhammad that is causing the delay or its a family based visa that is waiting on a priority date to be current. the average time is between 5-8 months sometimes a little longer... dont read horror stories about AP you have to remb there are always things behind those long AP's that we may not ever know or is not shared with us.
we were told we were in normal processing so we are hoping to hear something within the next month or two. Hang in there!

A K-1 is to get married in the US, not any other country. If you get married before you enter the country on your K-1 you will be banned for misuse of the visa.
Once you enter the US, marry, and file for your Adjustment of Status, you expect to wait 3 more months for a temporary travel document called Advance Parole.

K-3 is not faster than CR-1.
K-3 is more expensive and is closed at the NVC.
K-3 stops the I-130 in its tracks until it is matched up and put at the bottom of the pile with the I-129F.
If you read the comparison http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare
and the forums the general consensus here and advice is to stay away from the K-3 and stay with the CR-1.

My husband does all sorts of odd things:
    1) He puts hot sauce on everything he eats
    2) He eats the food on his plate from left to right, complimentary flavors or not
    3) He won't wake up if an earthquake goes through the bedroom, however the doorbell rings once and he's up and alert
    4) He's good at driving but terrible at parking
    5) His favorite movies are of the bad, terrible, extremely awful b-movie kind
The odd thing? He's the USC

Sure, it's allowed. No problem. The problem occurs when you leave the USA for more than six months. You are free to travel back and forth as soon as you have the CR1 visa endorsed at the POE.

Marriage fails even when distance is too close, even if and when you marry your neighbor. Not defending my c-\o-Filipino/a but just saying rotten eggs are globally present, tho I still think its best to give it some time to know the person best.

    Officer Covington,
Five years ago today, my Moroccan fiancé and I arrived in PHL. He was coming here on his K1 visa. You took him into the room to interview him, and then you wanted to talk to me. You were extremely rude. You told me to send him back to Morocco instead of marrying him. You told me I wouldn’t be in any trouble if I did. You said at the very least, I should put off the marriage as long as possible to give myself time to change my mind. You said Moroccan men are notorious for marrying “women like us” – older, unattractive, overweight, but who had a little money. You told me he’d beat me up, take my money, and leave me within 2 years, and you’d be surprised if he didn’t.
Well, guess what. He’s still here. Because of the economic environment in this country, we (like many others) are barely scraping by, even though we’re both working. I’m a few years older, and a few pounds heavier than I was in 2006. I’m not unattractive, though – I don’t know anyone who would look beautiful after sitting in an airport for 2 days, then flying for many hours. He has his citizenship. He’s never hit me. He didn’t take money. And again, he’s still here.
You were SO wrong, and I want you to know that.
So, can you explain yourself? Can you explain why he’s still with me? All of the reasons you assumed he was with me are gone – the money, waiting for the green card, waiting for citizenship, etc. He has absolutely no financial or immigration related reason to stay with me now. As a matter of fact, he’d probably be better off financially if he did leave. His income alone would support him better than our combined incomes support the two of us and my children from my previous marriage.
OH MY! Could it be that he’s a decent person, and actually LOVES me? Could it be that he really DID come here just to be with me? Imagine that!
You said something about stopping by to tell you you were wrong if he didn’t leave, but I really have better things to do than drive to the airport to try to find you. Maybe this message will get to you some other way.
And I hope you find peace in your life, because apparently you don’t have any. Or at least you didn’t on December 23, 2006.
    Happy Holidays.
    venusfire
P.S. I’m SO glad I ignored your ‘advice’.

I'm not sure about Lagos specifically but what you are saying 100% on the money. Immigration does not practice "equal opportunity" by any means. My husband is 8 years younger than me and I thought for sure that would be an issue at my interview. The CO actually did ask me ( I was at the interview) our ages soooo sarcastically....and as much as I wanted to tell her off, I kept my cool and we were approved. This should not pay any role in marriage and approval....it's disgusting to know this still exists. I hope you fight it, win and show their A$es who's boss!

hi there I read your post and what stuck out to me was that you won't be present for either of the two interviews. I am pretty sure that the DR requires the petitioner to be present at the interview (some countries are different but if you read the DR specific posts...that's what they say).
Sorry my response doesn't address your DNA issue specifically.
Good luck with your fiance and your daughter's petition!

It is better to get pictures together. Ask your guy to visit again and get the photos together. Have some fun, visit some places, take different-different type pictures together! Since it is K1 visa, so you need to make your case more stronger with these pic part.

I would bring corrected forms. I don't think it will cause a delay, just make sure you give them the forms first thing, so YOU are the one who mentions the issue, not them (as they probably figured out through background checks that you do have a child, especially if the child was mentioned in whatever forms you filled in for your previous visa). I don't remember a case exactly like yours, but others here on VJ made big mistakes on their forms- usually the I-864- and were allowed to submit new forms at interv iew without issues.

I would probably delay sending in the I-130 for your daughter. Bring corrected forms to your interview and explain the lawyer made the mistake. Once the corrected forms are on file, then submit the petition for your daughter.
