Why did you file for a K-1 and still call him your fiance if you already got married?

Also, how would it be disrespectful to tell his family about his relationship with his future/now wife? Seems disrespectful to you for him not to tell and even say that.

I'm very sorry, but what would it be like in the real World in public. Is he going to hide you. A Husband is to Cherrish you and show off his wife and be proud. Not worry what others think.

Your question was is he wrong? Yes, he's wrong. He needs a behavioral Adjustment or just forget it.

If you are already married then file for a spousal visa. K-1 is fiancé visa.

You K-1 visa will be denied at the consular interview, and you would have to start all over and waste a year.

are you near baguio city? reading your post made me remember robin padilla and mariel rodriguez... anyways, is your fiance do not want to tell them about the traditional marriage? or you in general? i think RESPECT comes both ways... if this is a "belief" issue, have you ask yourself is he respecting you by hiding that traditional marriage?

Your husband is disrespecting you in a big way and you're not even here yet. Just wait until you arrive to see how bad it will be.

Let me guess. Your husband is much older than you and possibly has adult children from a former marriage? Just a guess...

Either your husband does not care about your feelings or he doesn't have balls to tell his family and friends he married outside of his race/culture. Either way, not a terrific start to a life toghether.

I wish you luck, you'll need it.

Could you explain a little more as to why he doesnt want to tell him? What do you mean he "wants everyone's respect"

I would tend to agree with some of the other's comments, but would like a few more details (if you feel confortable sharing) before I pass judgement.

Just out of courisity, what possible answer could the OP's fiance give that make it ok for him NOT to tell his friends/family about his wife?

simple answer.................. NO he is not respecting you at all!!

You are not legally married, if you were you would not be doing the K-1. Confront him on this... yes I know, but confront him anyway. If you do not get good answers, cut your losses and walk away, life will only get worse with him later.

Your Fiance needs to grow a pair...

Not many valid reasons, but it is possible. Perhaps a custody battle? Maybe he kept the relationship a secret and needs time to break it to them slowly?

Not trying to defend the guy, but lets not convict and hang him based on a few words. Just let her explain a bit more, thats all i'm saying.

Well,

Based on the OP's timeline their NOA-2 should be coming within tne next 30 days, which means he needs to man-up soon.

Even if he was involved in a custody battle, his marrying someone wouldn't have an effect. And if he kept the relationship secret then truly what kind of man is he?

I appreciate you not wanting to sound harsh to the OP, but this subject has been covered many times here on VJ. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and acts like a #######, err I mean duck - then most of the time it's a duck.
