There is no excuse for hostility, ever.
Frustration levels seem to be running very, very high. I know my own are - the lack of progress shown by TSC, the constantly increasing processing times...
I think some us may benefit from a VJ break, myself included.

Because that's what VJers do, we help each other. If you won't offer to help, then don't expect much in return.
ascertainLovE should complete their timeline too!

AmyWrites reacted to N-o-l-a in Why do Spouses wait longer than Fiances?
I didn't. My original I-130 took around 7 or 8 months to get approved. My second one was quicker, I conglomerated the two on my timeline. My first I-130 went to NBC to CT to DK to CT to VSC and then back to CT.
My point is that there is no global decision at USCIS to process I-129Fs faster, despite what you think is some current policy. It changes all the time.
What would be most helpful would be a campaign to remove I-129Fs for a whole variety of reasons, not the least of which is that people don't seem to be able to file AOS in a responsible manner, but that then AOS clogs up the system even more.

Maybe the relationship was not really that important for him, I can't imagine just giving up on someone I intend to marry, marriage is quite a serious matter....or maybe the frustration of the process broke the relationship.

Giving up after only just filing last June ? Seriously ? It took us 5 years from meeting to finally being together. We were in AP for 16 months
and then our case was denied and returned. We filed again and were approved. It was a rough journey. If you can't handle your delay for 6 months then
yes it is better to quit now. Not sure why you even started in the first place with that 'giving up' attitude.....perhaps it was not a real love but a fling because
true love endures all, especially a few months or year of waiting.
Just shaking my head at the instant microwave expectations when it comes to some people's visa journeys.
Reality check....yours is not a nightmare but the normal procedure, come on, one months of waiting after the interview ?!

What about all those who are waiting years?

You should contact your embassy to receive the "Packet 3".
You can find it here: http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2-appointment-package-e.html
Seems like you just have to collect all documents and then book an appointment with the embassy.
CEAC will not show "Interview", just "READY" when you can schedule your appointment.

Your husband will have a very hard time anywhere in the US, where most people lump all Latin Americans in one group. Outside the US, he is Dominican. In the US, he is Latino or "Spanish". As this thread shows, people generally don't understand the pervasive racism/xenophobia between people Latin American countries. Dominicans famously dislike Haitians (given history, it should be the other way around!), Puerto Ricans look down on Dominicans, etc. It's like that.
Regardless, the fact that he takes this out on you the way he does makes it look like he's most certainly using you for a green card.

Sorry to say that but just love is not enough, he should respect you and cherish your presence, considering what you said I don't see a man that loves you,he talks about divorce, leaving you...love from his side? where? . I believe he is taking you for a ride ,watch out when he gets his permanent green card.I really hope I am wrong, otherwise you will be heartbroken.

NVC will see it the same way we do, you could be working and earning money in Germany now. Just like most other beneficiaries and they aren't going to expedite someone for that, its much more a case of impatience than financial loss.

Just because your case is not advancing at your pace does not mean people are lazy. They are working on other cases.

This brings back vivid horrors of how we and others were treated at Guayaquil -- like fraudulent criminals.
Hindsight is 20/20... having to do it over again, I'd have not left the place until I got to speak with the Section Chief of the Immigrant Visa Unit (= the CO's boss).
You say that you're "back home" -- in the U.S.? You might want to turn around, go back to the D.R., and not leave the embassy until you get to meet face-to-face with the Section Chief of the IVU.
Whether calling or visiting (forget e-mailing), insist on speaking with an American. Play the "USC" card. You will not stand wasting your time dealing with Foreign Service Nationals (the locals who work at the embassy). You are an American and you insist on speaking only with an American, and "anyone who blows me off or fails to transfer my call to a live line or hangs up on me will be in deep trouble." You are indignant and righteous and have every right to redress of your grievances.
Egad, but this brings back memories that still leave me shaking with anger.

If they were legally married in Morocco, they are legally married here in the US. Marriage is different in a Muslim country, there is a marriage contract and once signed you are legally married.

You are married to a control freak/abuser, insulting other women in the gym is despicable to say the least, displaying jealousy on your workplace is unacceptable. Her behavior fall into the category of mental abuse.Life is too short to be unhappy. She does not respect you,but respect yourself enough to walk away.

This sounds like really abusive, controlling behaviour. I mean, if a woman were posting here that her husband got mad at her for working out near a man at the gym, watching a show that had a man with his top off and daring to talk to male coworkers, we'd all be telling her run for the hills.

This sounds like domestic violence from a woman against a man. If she won't go to counselling, get out.

Your lawyer lied to you to get more money, using the VWP to marry AND STAY is visa fraud.
However, she was also wrong about the timeline- while some K1s take longer than others, 6 months is much closer than a year. Why have you not started the process yet?

This is nonstarter, using the Visa Waiver Program or a Tourist Visa with intent to immigrate is fraud.

The man now has a visa to enter the US. Unless they flag the visa before he hit the US he can come and add to the numbers of people that are hiding in plain sight. It sounds like he may have a better catch he wishes to chase but he will not be able to adjust status via marriage to anyone else.
