The US embassy in Kyiv reopened on Wednesday after a three-month closure due to Russia's February 24 invasion of Ukraine.

"We are officially reopening operations," spokesperson Daniel Langenkamp told Reuters shortly before the US flag was raised above the embassy. He said a small number of diplomats would return initially to staff the mission.

Consular operations will not resume immediately and a no travel advisory from the State Department remains in place across Ukraine, Langenkamp said.

Finally my fiance and her kids arrived in the US this week. Can I apply for their SSNs as soon as we get married or can do it now or have to wait for a certain stage to cross in the temporary green card process where the EAD and Parole visa will be issued? I wanted to add them to my medical insurance and wondering can I do so without their SSNs. Appreciate your response. Thanks!

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone applied to expedite I-130. I applied for my brother back in 2018 and was wondering if it could get expedited due to the war.

Thanks for any help

I just went in to update the NoA2 and NVC receipt date and the form is throwing errors. I used the calendar to select the dates so the format is correct but the form doesn't like the length of time between these dates. I cant help that, and I'm not going to fudge the dates just to stay current.

Time between when a petition (ex: I-129F) was mailed to the USCIS and the NOA1 (Notice of Receipt) may be too long. NOA1s (the date on the form itself) should be within 12 weeks (max) of the date you originally sent the form to the USCIS.

Are COVID vaccines available in Kyiv?

I want to sponsor a friend who is not vaccinated under Uniting for Ukraine.

The UA vaccination Website has not been updated during the war.

The list of vaccination points is timing out on me.

If true, I think this exception applies. What does this group think?

I am older than 5 years of age, but I am not vaccinated against COVID-19 because the vaccine is not approved or licensed for use in my age group. I will get vaccinated within 14 days of arrival in the US.
