Uniting for Ukraine as a temporary stay?

My wife wants to bring her mom here from Ukraine for what is planned to be a couple months stay, but that is not set in stone. We just had a kid and need grandma's help. She'll be leaving her husband in Ukraine who cannot leave due to Ukraine not allowing males to leave. The plan is for her to come for at least a couple of months and then reevaluate the situation, most likely returning back to her husband. Our ultimate plan was to immigrate my wife's mom and dad once she lives here for 2 years with the green card. Will this, what is planned to be a "temporary stay" via Uniting for Ukraine, negatively affect our immigration plans?

 

Also, Uniting for Ukraine mentions "Ukraining citizens displaced due to war". Does grandma have to prove she was displaced? Does this question come up during consulate interview? Is there even an interview prior to the POE?

She can apply for EAD to work and AP to travel. I have not seen this mentioned but presume you can multi apply for U4U.

From everything I have read U4U would have no effect one way one another on immigration status. They are treat as two totally separate things. Which makes total sense to me.

With the situation in Ukraine virtually everyone is disrupted or displaced. This alone would make a proving process more difficult. The requirements are they most have been residing it Ukraine before a certain day and they leave the country to come here. (Which they have to anyway)

Hey guys. So I just got off the phone with USCIS officer. I was told that only immediate relatives can be petitioners on that program so since I am just a fiance for now, unfortunately I can't apply. This specific condition is not listed on USCIS website unless I am blind. Did anyone already get their fiancee to US on this program? Can you share your experience?
