If you had been following our adventures, my fiancee and her daughter had been stuck in Manila because she kept testing COVID positive, and Cebu now requires a negative test to enter. They found a beach front apartment (literally, the beach comes right up to he door) in the Batangas area, a few hours south of Manila. She and her daughter love it, and will stay until they reschedule our interview. They catch fresh fish and crabs daily, and there are a few Americans with their wives, who decided just to stay when Covid hit. Her daughter has plenty of kids to play with and told me last night she never wants to lwave this place, but please wait for us in America (5 years old). All's Well, That Ends Well, at least this week.

Impossible to follow now the new rules for NCR but looks like they will be under GCQ level 4 from September 16 to 30. This is on a 5 level scale with level 5 being the highest. The link explains the details but I don t have the inclination to summarize. It appears medical clinics may be closed in level 4 so I guess that means SLEC may have to close but who knows what will really happen. Not only do they have the 5 levels in GCQ but there appears to be a stand alone ECQ, but it also appears LGUs can do what they want. https://cnnphilippines.com/news/2021/9/10/explainer-NCR-pilot-COVID-19-alert-level-system.html

Hello, I'm a newbie member here but have been reading posts and following others with similar cases since last year. I just wanted to know if there is a way to get an estimate of when we'll get an interview. From reading around here, I understand that there's a whole lot of people WAY ahead of us in the queue (going back to 2019 cases), and that based on the current pace that the embassy is going re: K1s, it'll take 3-4 years to clear the backlog. We applied in June 2020, and right now, our case is at NVC. Using that 3-4 year time frame, just wanted to know where we lie in that frame (front, middle, last of the pack? Unfortunately, I'm not very good with numbers and stats). That's one of the hard things about this really, is the uncertainty of when that interview will happen. I understand the we-have-to-wait-a-lot-longer part -- my fianc and I have conditioned our minds to that. I just wish the NVC or the embassy has what USCIS has, an estimated time of processing, so that we can at least manage our expectations better and/or so that we can decide whether to shift to spousal visa or not -- which is also one thing I wanted to hear your opinions on -- at this point, should we shift? Thank you for taking time to read this, and I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts. A big hug to everyone here who are in a similar situation -- we feel everything you're feeling. Let's get through this together.

Had our AOS interview today, it was pretty easy. She only asked us basic questions like our birthdays, address, date of marriage, etc. She also asked for proof of marriage like bank statements, tax transcript, and any other proof that we live together. We've been dating for like 15yrs before we got married and we have showed her tons of photos of us together from several yrs ago. We thought everything went well. But she handed us a paper that says case under review. The case status hasn't changed as well. It still says "case is ready to be scheduled". Should I be worried?

I am about to file Removal of Condition for my green card and now gathering lots of supporting documents. I am including my child's birth certificate. Do we need to submit original birth certificate of our child or just a photocopy? The instruction didn't say original but we wanna make sure we submit the right document (copy or original), should we also provide again our marriage certificate? If so, is it original or its okay if copy? I appreciate your response, if any. Thanks
