This is a short topic. My fiancee has her k1 visa interview next week at the Manila embassy. I have heard several others who have been through the interview say that they don't even look at pictures but one out of 10 people say they might. Should I send her a few pictures since we have met or not worry about it. Any advice would be great from other past Manila interviews.

Hello! I have been married for 3 years but I have not reported my marriage in the Philippines. What s the advantages and disadvantages of updating our records in the Phils? My Philippine passport is still under my maiden name. It will be expiring soon but I have no immediate plans of visiting our country. If I am to renew it, I can still use/keep my maiden name. To those who renewed your passport, how long did it take? Salamat po. Wie

I will try not to make this very long. My filipina fiancee is having her medical in about 2 hours by Philippines time and that should not be a problem. Her official k1 visa interview is next Thursday at 8:30 am. As my discussion title reads, I am trying to get things together for the i134 affidavit of support. There are 2 issues. I called my bank about doing the bank statement and they told me that I had to provide them the info about when I opened the accounts and what was the total amount I put in each account. I don't know remember when I opened the accounts since it was many years ago. I emailed my lawyer secretary and she said just to print out as many bank statements a possible for each account which I can do. But I don't think I can get a signed bank statement. The other thing is the previous tax returns. I understand that the Manila consulate prefers seeing copies from the Irs website but it isn't necessary. I can print the last few years but it wouldn't be off the Irs website. I tried to make an Irs account to get their tax records but I couldn't sign I'm because I don't remember the password. I guess I will just have to print out from my own records and hopefully that will work for the embassy in Manila. I also have to get my last 3 months pays tubs and my last 3 years w2 copies. I have to answer some questions for the i134 as well. I'm hoping some other vj people who have been through the k1 experience in the Philippines might be able to give me some advice so I can get this done.

I am a US citizen and was adopted when I was 12 by my step father. Both my middle and last name were changed. Do I need to put this down on the I-129f and will I need to provide the paperwork for this as well? I am 50 now so this was 38 years ago. Also it asks about info on my parents, would I use the info on my adoption paperwork or my biological father? Thanks in advance
